Abstract

Spatial autocorrelation is a spatial analysis to determine the relationship pattern or correlation among some locations (observation). On the poverty case of East Java, this method will provide important information for analyze the relationship of poverty characteristics in each district or cities. Therefore, in this research performed spatial autocorrelation analysis on the data of East Java’s poverty. The method used is moran's I test and Local Indicator of Spatial Autocorrelation (LISA). The analysis showed that by the moran's I test, there is spatial autocorrelation found in the percentage of poor people amount in East Java, both in 2006 and 2007. While by LISA, obtained the conclusion that there is a significant grouping of district or cities.

Abstract

Analysis of factors that influence the rate of illiteracy can provide important information for education. One such factor is the development of information and communication technology (ICT). Characteristics of illiteracy in East Java showes a spatial pattern. Therefore, to obtain the influencing factors Geographically Weighted Regression spatial modeling (GWR) is utilized. Modeling results indicate that the factors that influence the rate of illiteracy in every location are different. In general, factors influencing literacy rate is the percentage of households which have mobile phone and the percentage of households which access the internet at home.

Abstract

Simultaneous model is a model for some equation which have simultaneous relationships. It was often found in econometrics, such as the relationship between Gross Domestic Regional Product (GDRP) and poverty. GDP is a common indicator that can be used to determine the economic growth occurred in region. Meanwhile, poverty is one of the indicators to measure the society welfare. Information about these relathionships were important to perform the relathionsips between GDP and poverty. So this research conducted an analysis to obtain simultaneous models between GDRP and poverty. Estimation of the parameters used is Two-Stage Least Squares Estimation (2SLS). The data used are 33 provinces in Indonesia at 2010. By α = 5%, it was conclude that variable which significant effect on GDRP is poverty, export, and import. Meanwhile, the variables that significantly affect poverty are population. The simultaneous model (α = 5%) also conclude that there is no simultaneous relationship between GDRP and poverty. However, with α = 25%, there is a simultaneous relationship between GDRP and poverty.

Abstract

Saka Granola are produced by KWT in Salam Krajan, Wukirsari Village, Cangkringan Sub-District, Sleman, DIY. The production process is still using very simple tools and the product quality still needs to be improved. This is impact on low number of consumers and marketing is still not widespread. Therefore, the PPK Ormawa team, HIMASTA, Statistics Department, Institut Sains & Teknologi AKPRIND Yogyakarta provided assistance to the program to increase the variety of Saka Granola products. The program is carried out during August-October 2022. The forms of assistance include providing training on how to process cocoa into cocoa powder, training in cooking new food products, assistance in producing new products, and marketing. The new product variations have been accepted and are in demand by consumers. These partners have also been able to innovate to develop chocolate food products, increase production, and market.

Abstract

The agricultural and fisheries sectors in Wukirsari Village remain primary economic drivers. However, traditional fisheries management leads to inconsistent catfish and tilapia harvests and high feed costs, hindering Gapoktan Makaryo Nyoto from maximizing profits. The open-air location of the aquaculture development offers significant potential for utilizing sunlight to generate electricity. This study implements a Solar Power Plant (SPP) as a power source for aerators installed in biofloc ponds. The installation, operation procedures, maintenance, and repair of the SPP were socialized to Gapoktan Makaryo Nyoto members. The installed SPP successfully powered a 100W, 220V aerator, supplying oxygen to three biofloc ponds. Increased oxygen supply is expected to support fish growth. By the end of the program, Gapoktan Makaryo Nyoto members were proficient in operating and utilizing the SPP, leading to improved fish harvests and quality. Additionally, surplus power from the SPP was used for lighting the pond area.

Abstract

The tourism sector is a supporting sector for the Indonesian economy. One of the important actors in Indonesian tourism is foreign tourists. After the COVID-19 pandemic, the trend of foreign tourist visits to Indonesia has increased. The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded that foreign tourist visits to Indonesia during 2022 reached 5.47 million. This figure has increased by 251.28% compared to the 2021 period. According to BPS, one of the gates most accessed by foreign tourists is the air gate. Based on these conditions, this research aims to predict the number of foreign tourists coming to Indonesia via air gates. The method used to predict is the backpropagation algorithm. The use of the backpropagation algorithm is able to provide prediction results with the highest level of accuracy of 91.40% for tourist visits at Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali. Furthermore, an MSE value of 0.056 was obtained. Thus, predictions using the backpropagation algorithm can be said to be good and quite accurate and can be used for prediction calculations in the following year.
