Abstract

Background Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem caused by a long-term lack of nutrients. Early marriages that are commonly practiced in the community can have a negative effect on the health conditions of mothers and children and can increase the incidence of stunting. Objective to see if there is a relationship between early marriage and other factors on the incidence of stunting in the working area of the Prabugantungan Health Center, Lebak Regency Research methods This type of research is quantitative research with a Cross Sectional Study approach. Using a cluster sampling technique with a total sample of 128 with the criteria of a village with a high stunting rate. Statistical analysis test with Chi-Square with a significance level of α = 5%. Research result Most of the toddlers have normal nutritional status, namely 89.1% and only 10.9% of them are stunted. 78.1% of mothers were married at the age of 19 and over and a small number of mothers (21.9%) had early marriages. There is a relationship between early marriage and the incidence of stunting in the Work Area of the Prabugantungan Health Center (p-Value 0.007). There is no relationship between education, work, and place of delivery of mothers with the occurrence of stunting in Work Area of the Prabugantungan Health Center. Conclusions and recommendations Midwives need to socialize the prevention of early marriage in adolescents in anticipation of stunting prevention by involving cross-sectors.

Abstract

Background : Toddlers are one of the groups that are prone to health problems, problems with malnutrition or malnutrition. During the toddler period this will occur a phase of growth and development which is very rapid. As for malnutrition in toddlers it doesn't happen suddenly, but begins with an increase in toddlers' body weight which is not enough. One of the government's programs to I deal with nutritional problems in toddlers that have been going on until now, namely by breastfeeding mothers of toddlers. Research Objectives : To find out the effect of breastfeeding on toddler mothers by increasing mothers' knowledge about balanced nutrition for toddlers at Posyandu Mawar X Kelurahan Adiarsa Barat Work Area at Nagasari Community Health Center, Karawang Regency. Research Methods : The type of research used in this study. quasi-experimental quasi-experimental with the design used was the pre and  posttest approach twoi groupi design. The population in this study was 68 mothers of toddlers. Bivariate analysis using dependent t tests. Research results : Knowledge of mothers about balanced nutrition in toddlers before classiation mothers of toddlers in mothers in the intervention group mostly reduced by reducing by 11 people (73.3%) with an average score of 10.60, knowledge of mothers about balanced nutrition in toddlers before classiating mothers under five in the control group was mostly reduced by reducing by 8 people (53.3%) with an average score of 11.33. Mothers' knowledge of balanced nutrition in toddlers after classiation of mothers of toddlers in mothers in the intervention group mostly improved by 9 people (60.0%) with an average average score of 15.60, knowledge of mothers about balanced nutrition in toddlers after classiation mothers of toddlers in control groups mostly adequate by 8 people (53.3%) with a mean score of 13.53. Conclusion : It can be concluded that there is an influence on mother's toddlers by increasing mother's knowledge about balanced nutrition for toddlers in Posyandu Mawar X Kelurahan Adiarsa Barat Work Area at Nagasari Community Health Center, Karawang Regency.

Abstract

Backgrounds : Based on the guidelines for Integrated Ante Natal Care pregnancy checks issued by the Minister of Health at every level of MCH services, health workers in health care facilities are required to test all pregnant women for HIV, syphilis and hepatitis B at least once as part of routine laboratory examinations during pregnancy. antenatal checks at visit 1 (K1) until just before delivery. Research objectives : To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women with their behavior towards the HIV pretest at the Kota Baru Health Center. Type of research : Research conducted in June. The sample in this study was 60 samples in the Kota Baru Health Center area. This study uses a questionnaire and checklist with a quantitative approach method with a cross-sectional research design. Total sampling technique. The results of the study : The distribution is known from 60 respondents, the majority of respondents have good knowledge about preventing mother to child transmission as many as 47 people 78.3%, the less good there are 13 people 21.7% distribution of attitudes from 60 respondents, the negative value is less than 20 regarding prevention of mother to child transmission, namely as many as 12 or 20.0% of respondents, while positive values ​​of more than 20 were 48 students or 80.0% of distribution of the behavior from 60 respondents, who participated in preventing mother to child transmission, namely as many as 41 68.3% of respondents, who did not participate in preventing mother-to-child transmission, namely 19 or 31.7% of respondents. Based on the results of the chi-square statistical test, it is obtained that the p value = 0.002 is smaller than the value α = 0.005. Research conclusion : There is a significant relationship between knowledge and the use of HIV testing at the Kota Baru Health Center, while the results of the chi-square statistical test obtained p=0.006, meaning that there is an attitude relationship between knowledge and the use of HIV testing at the Baru City Health Center.

Abstract

Background : In order to support stunting reduction activities, the West Java BKKBN has formed a family assistance program which is carried out by a family assistance team consisting of midwives, cadres and PKK staff to eliminate the main factors causing stunting. Research purposes : To find out more in-depth information about the effectiveness of the BAAS (Foster Father of Stunting Children) program in the form of input, output and process indicators in order to reduce the incidence of stunting in Gintungkerta Village, Kari District, Karawang Regency in 2022. Types of research : The research was conducted in June 2023. The informants and key informants consisted of 16 people. This study uses in-depth interview techniques with a qualitative approach method. Research result : Input: "... me and the cadre have been running the BAAS program for 7 months, all the tools were provided from the village, all items were entered into the records (inventory)."(BD1). Process: "... my child was given food which remained to be eaten by the dede and the cadre, then told the midwife that it had to be eaten directly by the dede and could not be given to others" (IB5). Output: "... after evaluating the total assistance in implementing the BAAS program this month, the results were 21 out of 53 stunted toddlers who were declared to have graduated were not stunted anymore or it could be said that they were normal in terms of weight/height..." (BD2) Conclusion : Input: Involvement in the implementation of the BAAS program is not only BKKBN, DinKes, sub-districts and villages, but because there are many factories in the Gintungkerta Village area, there are several companies that are supporting the BAAS program for 53 people targeted for stunting toddlers. Process : The accompanying team/cadres deliver the BAAS program to the target in the form of ready-to-eat PMT that has been processed. Output: The results of the evaluation were 21 out of 53 targeted stunting toddlers who experienced a change in status from stunting to normal. Barriers and constraints : There is no program sustainability, target data is out of sync, there are no incentives for cadres.
