Abstract

Inflation is one of the most widely tested economic variables both theoretically and empirically. Stable inflation is a sign that sustainable economic growth provides benefits for improving people's welfare. This study aims to analyze the impact of Covid-19 on volatility inflation in Indonesian. The method used in this study is the ARIMA model. The results of this study are the ARMA (1.1.0) model suitable for testing inflation volatility in Indonesia. Forecasting results show that inflation over the next 5 months or until December 2022 tends to decrease. From the prediction results, the policy that can be applied to business sector actors is to carry out operational (marketing) activities carried out with an online system. The next policy that can be applied to companies is tax relaxation and easy access to credit to banks. Finally, the policies that can be applied due to the decline in commodity prices in the food and beverage and tobacco sectors are capital assistance and production equipment assistance for business actors. Keywords: Volatility, Inflation, ARIMA, COVID19, Forecasting

Abstract

This research aims to examine how the choice of public and private secondary schools (SMP-SMA) influences the decision to transition after graduating from high school. This study uses a quantitative approach, utilizing data from the fifth batch of the Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS) (2014) with 3209 observations from all over Indonesia using logistic multinomial regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that individuals who graduate from private schools have a positive value of 0.056 toward the tendency to work informally. Graduates of private and public high schools tend not to work formally by 7.2% and 10.9%, respectively. Male individuals will tend to work informally and formally, with a coefficient of 0.069 and a coefficient of 0.271, while female individuals tend to continue their higher education with a coefficient of (0.120). The variable of the highest level of education completed by the head of the household has a negative coefficient for both the formal and informal sectors, while college has a positive coefficient. This shows that the higher the level of education of the head of the household, the individual tends to continue studying at university, with a coefficient value of 0.083.

Abstract

Banking is one of the most important sectors supporting a country’s economy. In Indonesia, the development of banking has undergone significant changes, as evidenced by the shift from the conventional system to the dual banking and Sharia systems. The large number of commercial banks and bank offices suggests high competition in Indonesia. Consequently, banks must reduce costs and streamline their operational activities to remain competitive. This study aims to analyze the relationship between bank competition and financial stability in Indonesia for both conventional and Islamic banks, using the generalized method of moments. The results show a positive relationship between the level of banking industry competition and banking stability, indicating that an increase in bank competition will result in greater stability. These findings suggest that Islamic banking has the potential to expand its market share by improving its soundness and retaining customer loyalty. In addition, banking authorities should reevaluate their performance and regulations.JEL: G21, G32, L10.

Abstract

Education is considered a crucial factor in measuring a nation's progress and the morality of individuals and the state. Entrepreneurship education at the elementary school (SD) level is critical to shaping students' entrepreneurial character from an early age. The community engagement activities at Madrasah Diniyah Darul Ulum have successfully provided a fundamental understanding of entrepreneurship through a theory and practice approach involving active student participation. This approach creates an interactive and empowering learning environment. Students who were initially hesitant to speak became more confident and creative in expressing their ideas. These activities reinforce the foundation of entrepreneurial understanding and equip students with the practical skills needed to initiate and run small businesses. To enhance the effectiveness of entrepreneurship education, it is recommended to continue these activities by organising entrepreneurship fairs or business bazaars, providing a real platform for students to apply their knowledge and skills in the entrepreneurial world.
