Abstract

The success factor in implementing new technology is the acceptance and use of the technology by users. Indonesia is a country with significant investor growth since 2018 with the presence of technology that makes it easier to open accounts and online transactions. Is the presence of Robo advisor technology in investment products also expected to be acceptable like existing online investment applications? This paper provides a conceptual TAM model by adding UI/UX and Security as the driver of Perceived Usefulness (PU) and Perceived Ease of Use (PEU). We also add Trust and Expected Return variables related to financial variables. So that the proposed model can be used as a basis for empirical research in the future to validate the context of accepting Robo advisors in Indonesia. Keywords: UI & UX, Security, Trust, Expected Return, Intention to Use, Actual Use.

Abstract

Gold has traditionally been a store of value and a financial hedge in both developed and emerging markets, including Indonesia. Recent rupiah depreciation and global economic uncertainty have prompted investors to seek safer assets and digital alternatives. This study investigates the factors influencing digital gold investment adoption among Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z in Greater Jakarta, using an extended UTAUT framework that incorporates price value, perceived risk, and attitude as mediators. A cross-sectional survey and PLS-SEM analysis of 51 respondents assess both direct and indirect effects of UTAUT constructs, economic and psychological factors, and behavioral intention. Results show that performance expectancy, facilitating conditions, and perceived risk significantly affect behavioral intention, while price value strongly influences attitude but not intention directly. The mediating effect of attitude is not supported. These findings suggest that cognitive evaluations, such as utility, readiness, and risk, outweigh affective responses in digital gold adoption among urban Indonesian youth. The study offers theoretical insights for fintech adoption models and practical guidance for digital gold providers, emphasizing platform features, infrastructure, and risk management. Limitations include a small sample size and potential validity concerns, indicating areas for future research.

Abstract

Background: The rapid growth of digital communication platforms has significantly reshaped how premium sports brands interact with consumers. In emerging lifestyle sports such as padel, purchasing decisions are no longer influenced solely by product specifications or brand reputation but also by digital engagement and community participation. Objective: This study examines how Social Media Marketing (SMM) and Community Engagement (COM) affect Purchasing Decisions (PD) through the mediating role of Customer Equity dimensions: Value Equity, Brand Equity, and Relationship Equity. Methods: A quantitative survey was conducted among 123 consumers of premium padel equipment across major Indonesian cities. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Results: The results indicate that although SMM and community participation significantly enhance all dimensions of customer equity, they do not directly influence purchasing decisions. This finding is attributable to the high-involvement nature of premium padel equipment, which requires extensive cognitive evaluation and physical trials before purchase. Instead, purchasing behavior is driven primarily by Value Equity and Relationship Equity. Relationship Equity emerges as the most influential determinant. Brand Equity, contrary to conventional branding assumptions, does not significantly predict purchasing decisions in this context. Conclusion: These findings suggest that, in performance-driven sports markets, consumers prioritize perceived functional value and relational trust over symbolic brand prestige. The study extends Customer Equity Theory to the niche padel equipment market and provides practical implications for brands seeking to convert digital engagement into tangible sales outcomes.
