Abstract

Mercury (Hg) is one type of a dangerous heavy metals. As one of contaminants, mercury enter the aquatic ecosystem through atmospheric decomposition or sourced from the industrial waste externalisation and bilogical and chemical converted in methyl mercury. This research aims to find out and determine the mercury concentrate which contained in sea water, sediment and belanak (Liza melinoptera) network in Palu bay water. The analysis of mercuri content on the tested sample using Automatic Mercury Analyzer. The working principle of the device is gold amalgamation method by heating and separation. The research result showed that the mercury content in belanak network is 0.143 - 0.188 ppm, sediment is 2.453 - 2.800 ppm and the sea water is 0.030 – 0.040 ppm. Based on the decision of the state minister of environmental regarding the guidelines for determination of Hg standard quality for sea water is 0.002 ppm and 0.001 ppm for marine biota. It shows that the Palu bay water condition has been polluted and the belanak is not worth to be consumed.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the ethics of students in the book Washoya al-abaa li al-abnaa by Sheikh Muhammad Syakir and its relevance to Islamic education subjects in junior high schools. -Islamic values, such as students defying the teacher's orders, not doing assignments, and violating the rules that apply in school. This type of research is library research, the method of collecting documentation and observation data, the data sources used are primary data in the form of the Book of Washoya Al-Abaa Li Al-Abnaa and supporting data. Checking the validity of the data uses research dependence on data. Data analysis uses content, inductive and contextual analysis. This study shows that the ethics of students in the book Washoya al-Abaa Li al-Abnaa includes: 1) descriptive ethics consisting of a). glorify teachers more than parents, b). expect the blessing of the teacher, 2) normative ethics, namely: a). earnestly and enthusiastically, b). set the time, c). Reading, studying, and studying the material, d). ask and discuss, e. learn according to their level, f). comply with the rules, g). calm down, h). good behavior. While the relevance of the book Washoya al-Abaa Li al-Abnaa to PAI subjects can be used as a reference for students in learning and can apply these ethics properly.

Abstract

Madura Island or commonly called "salt island" is one of the largest salt producers in Indonesia, where people, especially those around the coast, work as salt farmers. Sumenep Regency, Pamekasan Regency and Sampang Regency are the three largest producers in Madura. The author took one district to be analyzed as research material, namely Sampang Regency, precisely in Pangerangan village. Sampang consists of community salt fields covering an area of ​​4,300 ha with a salt production capacity of 300,000 tons/year. This research focuses on the problems experienced by salt farmers by analyzing the income level of salt farmers in Sampang district. In this case the author focuses on the influence of land area and production costs on the income of salt farmers in Sampang Regency. So in this research the author took a quantitative method to calculate data by conducting field research, looking at the impact, distributing questionnaires offline to farmers, drawing conclusions from the data. It can be concluded that the research results show that land area and production costs have a significant influence on the income of salt farmers in Sampang Regency.

Abstract

Stunting, characterized by impaired growth and development in children, is one of the most serious public health problems often caused by chronic malnutrition. This study aims to identify patterns among stunting cases through clustering analysis of child health data. The algorithm used in this research uses K-Means. The dataset used in this study uses health data from 599 children in the Sambas Regency area of East Kalimantan Province. This dataset has several features that are quite diverse such as height, weight, age, nutritional intake, socioeconomic status, and others. This research process begins with cleaning the data, as well as looking at the correlation between features. One of the methods used is to conduct a data analysis process using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) which aims to reduce the dimensions of the data. After that, the process of finding the number of clusters using the Elbow method is carried out to determine the optimal number of clusters. This research uses 4 clusters in the process. The clustering results revealed that family structure (main family vs extended family) and parental income levels significantly influence stunting prevalence in the region.

Abstract

Cervical cancer is a leading cause of death among women, with over 300,000 deaths recorded in 2020. This study aims to improve the accuracy of cervical cancer diagnosis classification through a combination of Adaptive Synthetic Sampling (ADASYN) and Random Forest algorithm. The research data was obtained from the Cervical Cancer dataset in the UCI Machine Learning Repository with an imbalanced data distribution of 95% negative class and 5% positive class. ADASYN method was chosen for its ability to handle imbalanced data by focusing on minority data points that are difficult to classify. The Random Forest algorithm was optimized using GridSearchCV to achieve maximum performance. Results show that this combination improved accuracy from 96.5% to 96.8% and recall from 93.7% to 94.3%. Feature importance analysis identified key risk factors such as number of pregnancies, age at first sexual intercourse, and hormonal contraceptive use that significantly influence diagnosis. This research demonstrates the effectiveness of combining ADASYN and Random Forest in enhancing classification performance for early cervical cancer detection.

Abstract

The urgency of integrating Islamic education in Indonesia's national education system is becoming increasingly important amid the challenges of globalisation, digital transformation, and the need to strengthen the nation's cultural identity. This article aims to examine the development of Islamic education in Indonesia through historical and juridical approaches and examine its contemporary dynamics. The method used is qualitative research based on library research with a descriptive-analytical approach. Data sources were obtained from the latest relevant academic literature, analysed through thematic review techniques. The results of the study show that Islamic education has strong historical roots, is juridically recognised, but faces implementative challenges and the need for innovation in curriculum and learning technology. This article contributes to the strengthening of educational integration theory and offers a new perspective in designing educational policies that are inclusive and responsive to the times. Future research is expected to be able to examine the practice of Islamic education integration empirically in various local contexts.

Abstract

Modernisasi pendidikan Islam menjadi suatu keharusan di tengah arus globalisasi dan perkembangan zaman. K.H. Ahmad Dahlan, sebagai pendiri Muhammadiyah, memainkan peran penting dalam memperkenalkan konsep pendidikan Islam yang mengintegrasikan ilmu agama dan ilmu umum. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi kontribusi pemikiran K.H. Ahmad Dahlan dalam pembaharuan sistem pendidikan Islam di Indonesia serta mengidentifikasi tantangan dalam penerapannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi pustaka, wawancara mendalam, dan observasi terhadap lembaga pendidikan Islam. Analisis tematik diterapkan untuk menggali makna dari data yang diperoleh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lembaga pendidikan Muhammadiyah relatif berhasil menerapkan model pendidikan integratif, namun banyak institusi lainnya masih memisahkan antara ilmu agama dan umum. Temuan ini memperkaya wacana pendidikan progresif dan konstruktivisme, serta menekankan pentingnya pengembangan kurikulum yang holistik. Studi ini merekomendasikan reformasi pendidikan Islam agar lebih adaptif terhadap kebutuhan zaman serta menyarankan penggunaan metode triangulasi dalam penelitian selanjutnya guna memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih mendalam terhadap penerapan pendidikan Islam modern.

Abstract

ABSTRAK  Bidang Radiologi Kedokteran Gigi sangat berhubungan dengan paparan radiasi. Setiap paparan radiasi akan memberikan efek kepada tubuh kita baik sebagai pasien maupun sebagai operator. Efek biologis yang di terima oleh tubuh ini sering dikenal sebagai efek stokastik dan efek deterministik. Tujuan dari pemeriksaan radiologi adalah untuk mengetahui kondisi kesehatan pasien melalui teknologi radiologi. Dari hasil rekam gambar akan diketahui kondisi pasien. Berdasarkan dari hasil rekam gambar tersebut akan ditentukan diagnosis dan rekomendasi penanganan atau pengobatan. Tindakan-tindakan yang biasa dilakukan oleh dokter gigi seringkali membutuhkan foto rontgen. Akan tetapi faktor geografis, demografis dan sosiologis, terkadang mengakibatkan pasien tidak dapat menjangkau fasilitas rontgen tersebut. Begitu juga pengetahuan masyarakat tentang pentingnya foto rontgen gigi dalam menentukan tindakan yang dilakukan. Masih banyak asumsi di masyarakat bahwa foto rontgen gigi kurang dibutuhkan sebelum dilakukan tindakan, misalnya pada pasien yang ingincabut gigi atau melakukan perawatan saluran akar. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi efektivitas media poster dan media sosial sebagai alat edukasi untuk meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat tentang pemeriksaan rontgen di kedokteran gigi. Penelitian menggunakan desain kuasi-eksperimen dengan pendekatan pretest-posttest deengan responden adalah siswa SMK Bhakti Praja Batang, dengan metode  stratified random sampling. Pada penelitian ini diperoleh 27 sample, Data dianalisis menggunakan hasil analisis deskriptif dan uji statitistik independent t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada tingkat pemahaman masyarakat setelah intervensi (p<0.05). Edukasi berbasis media digital dan visual terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan literasi masyarakat tentang pemeriksaan rontgen. Kata Kunci: Edukasi, Radiologi, Kedokteran Gigi, Media Sosial, Poster  ABSTRACT The field of Dentomaxillofacial Radiology is closely related to radiation exposure. The purpose of a radiological examination is to determine the patient's health condition through radiological technology. From the results of the image recording, the patient's condition will be known. Based on the results of the image recording, a diagnosis and recommendations for treatment or treatment will be determined. Based on daily procedure dentists often require x-rays. However, geographical, demographic and sociological factors sometimes result in patients not being able to reach the X-ray facility. Likewise, public knowledge about the importance of dental x-rays in determining what action to take. There are still many assumptions in society that dental x-rays are not needed before any action is taken, for example in patients who want to have their teeth extracted or undergo root canal treatment. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of posters and social media as educational tools to increase public understanding about x-ray examinations in dentistry. The study used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest approach with respondents being students of SMK Bhakti Praja Batang, with a stratified random sampling method. In this study, 27 samples were obtained. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis results and independent t-test statistical tests. The results showed a significant increase in the level of community understanding after the intervention (p<0.05). Education based on digital and visual media has proven effective in increasing public literacy about x-ray examinations. Keywords: Education, Radiology, Dentistry, Social Media, Posters

Abstract

Tujuan dari pemeriksaan radiologi adalah untuk mengetahui kondisi kesehatan pasien melalui teknologi radiologi. Tindakan-tindakan yang biasa dilakukan oleh dokter gigi seringkali membutuhkan foto rontgen untuk merencanakan perawatan atau mengevaluasi perawatannya. Akan tetapi faktor geografis, demografis dan sosiologis, terkadang mengakibatkan pasien tidak dapat menjangkau fasilitas rontgen tersebut. Begitu juga pengetahuan masyarakat tentang pentingnya foto rontgen gigi dalam menentukan tindakan yang dilakukan. Masih banyak asumsi di masyarakat bahwa foto rontgen gigi kurang dibutuhkan sebelum dilakukan tindakan, misalnya pada pasien yang ingin cabut gigi atau melakukan perawatan saluran akar. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, maka Departemen Radiologi Kedokteran Gigi FKG UNISSULA telah mengadakan Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat berupa Penyuluhan dan Edukasi untuk Siswa SMA yang berjudul “Peningkatan Pemahaman Dan Justifikasi Pemeriksaan Rontgen Kedokteran Gigi Pada Sivitas SMA 1 Slawi Kabupaten Tegal”. Tujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan penelitian ini adalah mendapat gambaran tingkat pemahaman dan justifikasi pemeriksaan rontgen kedokteran gigi pada siswa SMA 1 Slawi Kabupaten Tegal. Kegiatan ini telah dilaksanakan dengan metode tatap muka dengan melakukan penyuluhan tentang peranan rontgen kedokteran gigi, Berdasarkan hasil penyuluhan dan pengisian kuisioner “Peningkatan Pemahaman Dan Justifikasi Pemeriksaan Rontgen Kedokteran Gigi Pada Sivitas SMA 1 Slawi Kabupaten Tegal”pada saat sebelum dan setelah kegiatan diperoleh bahwa sebelum dilakukan sosialisasi mengenai pentingnya pemeriksaan rontgen di kedokteran gigi didapatkan 49,2% atau sebanyak 27 responden belum mengetahui mengapa harus dilakukan rontgen dikedokteran gigi dan setalah dilakukan sosialisasi didapatkan 94,5% atau sebanyak 52 responden sudah mengetahui alasan mengapa dilakukan pemeriksaan rontgen di kedokteran gigi. Hasil dari kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa siswa awalnya belum mengetahui tentang pemahaman pemeriksaan rontgen dikedokteran gigi sehingga dengan kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan pemahaman tersebut. Kata Kunci: ALARA, Biological Effect, Justifikasi Radiasi  ABSTRACT The field of Dental Radiology is closely related to radiation exposure. The procedures that are usually performed by dentists often require x-rays to plan treatment or evaluate treatment. However, geographical, demographic and sociological factors sometimes result in patients not being able to reach the x-ray facility. Likewise, public knowledge about the importance of dental X-rays in determining the action to be taken. There are still many assumptions in the community that dental X-rays are not needed before surgery, for example in patients who want to extract teeth or perform root canal treatment. Based on this background, the Department of Dental Radiology, FKG UNISSULA has been hold Community Service Activities in the form of Counseling and Education for High School Students entitled "Improving Understanding and Justification of Dental X-Ray Examination in Civitas SMA 1 Slawi, Tegal "The purpose of this research is to get overview of knowledge and justification understanding about dental radiology examination on SMA 1 Slawi civitas. This research has been hold by face to face method with given presentation about dental radiology. Based on the results of counseling and filling out the questionnaire "Increasing Understanding and Justification of Dental X-Ray Examination in the Community of SMA 1 Slawi Tegal" it was found that prior to socialization regarding the importance of X-ray examinations in dentistry, 49.2% or as many as 27 respondents did not know why X-rays should be done in dentistry and after the socialization was carried out, it was found that 94.5% or as many as 52 respondents already knew why X-ray examinations were carried out in dentistry. These results show the improvement of efforts to increase understanding and justification for X-ray examination in dentistry. Keywords: ALARA, Biological Effect, Radiation Justification
