Abstract

Indonesia is still facing major challenges in the field of nutrition. Lack of nutritional intake is a type of nutritional problem that can cause disturbances in the growth and development of children, so efforts are needed to be made to overcome them. Specific nutrition interventions have been shown to reduce nutritional problems through supplementation and fortification interventions, supporting exclusive breastfeeding, counseling about children's diets, and providing additional food. This study aims to identify specific interventions that have been carried out in addressing under-five nutritional problems using qualitative methods using non-probability sampling techniques. Data was collected through in-depth interviews. The results showed specific nutrition interventions, namely toddler interventions (monitoring toddlers at posyandu, immunization, vitamin A, and PMT). Maternal intervention (pregnancy women's classes, PMT for pregnant women, nutrition and health seminars) and youth interventions (blood-boosting tablets/TTD program).

Abstract

Pregnancy is a period when pregnant women experience physiological and psychological changes. Physical changes that occur during pregnancy can cause complaints or discomfort during pregnancy, which include physical discomfort during pregnancy including back pain, low back pain, difficulty sleeping at night/insomnia, and leg cramps. Meanwhile, psychological discomfort that can occur in pregnant women is anxiety and fear of facing the birth process. Anxiety is one of the psychological changes in the third trimester because it is getting closer to the birth process. Resulting in excessive anxiety during pregnancy can trigger abortion, premature birth, low birth weight, fetal defects, fetal growth retardation, and postpartum depression. Three out of five third trimester pregnant women who were encountered experienced anxiety approaching labor, namely sleep disturbances. Practicing yoga during pregnancy is a useful solution as a self-help medium that will reduce discomfort during pregnancy and help with the birthing process. When pregnancy enters the third trimester, the mother will experience increasingly serious and intense anxiety in dealing with the birth process.

Abstract

The health of pregnant women is one of the national health indicators. The Center for Indonesian Medical Students' Activities (CIMSA) considers that the health figures for pregnant women in Indonesia cannot be categorized as good. So early detection of pregnancy complications can be used as an effort to prevent complications in pregnancy. The still high maternal mortality rate (MMR) and infant mortality rate (IMR) can be caused by several factors, one of which is the lack of optimal antenatal care and low maternal knowledge about danger signs in pregnancy. Pregnant women's knowledge about danger signs in pregnancy is one of the factors that can influence pregnant women at high risk of experiencing danger signs in pregnancy. The main causes of maternal death, namely preeclampsia, bleeding and infection, can be prevented if the signs are recognized early. These signs are known as danger signs of pregnancy. Therefore, pregnant mothers should learn more about the danger signs of pregnancy. The aim of this activity is to increase mothers' knowledge about the danger signs of pregnancy. Abstract

Pregnancy exercise is a movement therapy therapy given to pregnant women to prepare themselves both physically and mentally for childbirth. Pregnancy exercise is needed by every pregnant woman, because it can make the body fit and healthy, and able to carry out daily activities, so that stress due to anxiety before giving birth can be minimized. However, many pregnant women do not do pregnancy exercise because they are unsure and afraid of their pregnancy if they do pregnancy exercise. Pregnancy exercise exercises that are carried out regularly both at the gym and at home in their spare time can lead pregnant women towards a physiological delivery as long as there are no pathological conditions accompanying the pregnancy. The purpose of Community Service in the Work Area of the Caile Health Center is to increase the ability of pregnant women and cadres to practice pregnancy exercises, so that they will increase the knowledge and health of pregnant women and prepare for childbirth. This community service activity begins with training for existing Posyandu cadres, providing supporting facilities and infrastructure in the form of leaflets and modules for pregnant women exercise, and doing pregnancy exercises in home care. The results of this Community Service activity are the formation of pregnancy exercise cadres, pregnant women can practice pregnancy exercise at home, as well as the provision of facilities and infrastructure in the form of leaflets and pregnancy exercise modules

Abstract

The infant period is a phase of rapid growth that requires optimal nutritional intake, with breast milk serving as the best source of nutrition. Successful breastfeeding practices, particularly breastfeeding frequency and duration, are considered important factors in supporting adequate nutritional intake and infant weight gain. This study aimed to analyze the association between breastfeeding frequency and duration and infant weight gain in the working area of Pabbentengan Public Health Center, Gowa Regency. This quantitative study employed a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 30 infants selected using a total sampling technique in the working area of Pabbentengan Public Health Center in 2025. Data were collected using questionnaires to assess breastfeeding frequency and duration, as well as observation sheets based on the Maternal and Child Health Handbook (KIA Book) to record infant weight gain. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analyses with the One-Way ANOVA test. Most infants were female (53.3%) and aged 1 month (36.7%). The average infant weight gain was 0.69 kg. The majority of infants had a breastfeeding frequency of fewer than 8 times per day (63.3%) and a breastfeeding duration of 10–15 minutes (63.3%). The One-Way ANOVA test showed that there was no significant association between breastfeeding frequency and infant weight gain (p = 0.123), nor between breastfeeding duration and infant weight gain (p = 0.053). Breastfeeding frequency and duration were not significantly associated with infant weight gain in the working area of Pabbentengan Public Health Center.
