Abstract

Perguruan tinggi saat ini banyak berkembang, sehingga munculnya persaingan untuk mendapatkan calon mahasiswa baru, maka perlunya dilakukan promosi. Umumnya promosi yang dilakukan tidak efektif dan efisien, terlalu banyak waktu dan biaya promosi yang dihabiskan tetapi pencapaian sasaran promosi tidak tercapai. Dengan pemanfaatan penggalian data mahasiwa yang terdaftar sebelumnya di dalam database, dapat di analisis kembali sehingga memperoleh informasi pengetahuan baru yang dijadikan rekomendasi untuk menentukan strategi promosi yang efektif dan efisien. Dengan metode proses Data Mining atau dikenal sebagai (KDD) dapat memperoleh hasil pengetahuan dari basis data yang dibentuk untuk keperluan pengambilan keputusan. Association rule adalah salah satu teknik Data Mining untuk menemukan pattern frequent itemset yaitu dengan menggunakan Algoritma FP-Growth, sehingga menghasilkan rule yang baru dari data sampel mahasiswa sebanyak 93 transaksi menghasilkan 14 rule. Hasil dari 14 rule inilah dijadikan rekomendasi untuk menentukan strategi promosi pada perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

Position promotion is a transfer or promotion of an employee in a structure within the organizational structure who has the ability to know skills and a responsible attitude in accordance with qualifications based on standards that exist in a company itself with specific functions. In the process of selecting the best employees, for recommendation for promotion, a measurable decision support system is needed. As in the POLDASU HR BUREAU, which does not yet have a decision support system, which so far has recommended promotions at the North Sumatra Regional Police, there are still obstacles in the criteria for evaluating promotions, so does not rule out the possibility that decision making is done subjectively by only looking at certain aspects and requires a long time in making decisions. In general, the recommendation for promotion is given by each work unit, good assessments from superiors and employee performance in carrying out their duties. For this reason, it is necessary to assess data processing employees who can help companies make decisions related to promotion recommendations. There needs to be supporting criteria for using a decision support system. In this study applied a combination of ROC and TOPSIS methods. The weighting of each criterion is carried out by applying the ROC method, then followed by a ranking process that will select the best alternative from a number of alternatives using the TOPSIS method. The results of the Research Recommendations for Promotion of Positions that are appropriate for promotion are alternative A1 with a preference value of 1,497 on behalf of "Hendrik"

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) in Kelambir Lima Kebon, Deli Serdang Regency, are currently growing rapidly. Many groups of actors in it can also create huge job opportunities in the surrounding environment, so that it is very helpful for the unemployed. In empowering UMKM in this Technology era, one of them is through a website-based UMKM communication center. Its function is to build digitalized media such as websites so that all information related to the development of UMKM in Kelamibr Lima Kebon, Deli Serdang Regency, can also expand its business network. The method used to design the web used is use case diagrams and activity diagrams, for research objects that are actively running their business in kelambir lima kebon. The web that will be produced later is very interactive, this is because the resulting communication runs in two directions between customers and UMKM so that it can build a customer community that can generate an intention to buy products marketed via the Web.

Abstract

Study tour activities are as a means of learning while recreation for teachers, students and course administrators. This recreational trip while studying is held every year and requires good preparation. For students who wish to take part in the study tour, a selection stage is carried out. In this study, the selection used a decision support system using the TOPSIS method (Technique For Others Reference by Similarity to Ideal Solution). This method consists of several steps that are easy to implement. In this method, there is no special calculation for weights. The weight is determined based on the analysis of all parties involved in developing the system. This system is expected to be able to select students properly through the attributes used, namely achievement, health, files and budget capabilities. Some assessments are carried out by interviews conducted by the course admin. The data is then processed as input to a decision support system. The system was developed using the PHP programming language and MySQL database. Some of the features or menus contained in it are home, alternative data, ratings, rankings and weights. These features are designed so that the system is easy to use. This research resulted in a selection system that makes it easier for administrators to determine students who take part in the study tour. Decision support systems simplify student data collection and topsis method calculations. The value of each criterion can be calculated quickly by the system. The weight used can be changed through the system. Recommendations for students to take part in the study tour can be seen in the ranking menu in the system in order. The system can be used annually in selecting study tour students

Abstract

The ability to think creatively is the ability of students to find solutions that are unusual, unique and have never been found by others. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of creative thinking skills possessed by students. The approach to this study uses the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method, often also known as the weighted sum method. The basic concept of the SAW method is to find the weighted sum of the performance ratings for each alternative on all attributes. The results of this study show that students can be divided into 2 parts of creative students, namely creative students are accepted and students who are not creative are not accepted. Data collection is done by providing creative types that have been done by students and includes indicators of creative thinking skills, namely fluency, flexibility, originality and elaboration. In this study, it was found that 5 students had a very creative thinking ability, 1 student had a creative thinking ability and 1 student had a low creative thinking ability.

Abstract

Absence is a routine activity carried out by students every time they carry out learning activities. The attendance process at school is generally still done manually. So it takes a lot of time to learn and teach. Arduino is an open source technology. So that research was carried out related to this Radio Frequency Identification or RFID Arduino based attendance system. RFID has advantages over other attendance methods. This advantage is that there is no need to bring in students to record initial data like in the others. Furthermore, a web-based information system functions to manage student attendance. This information system was built using the PHP programming language and the Laravel framework. Laravel is a PHP framework that has functions to facilitate the development of web-based applications. Apart from that, Laravel also has a good application security system. So in this study the authors tried to develop an Arduino and Laravel RFID-based student attendance system as an attendance management application for admins. After doing research, PHP cannot read data via serial port directly. Therefore we need an additional desktop-based application. The desktop-based attendance application functions to retrieve data from Arduino and perform attendance to the database. The attendance process begins with the input of meeting material by the teacher. Based on the last meeting the teacher input the absence process by RFID is carried out. The results of this study are that the system can only handle one class for an Arduino RFID device.

Abstract

This research is a software research and development (software research and development) which aims to find out the results of the development of the Internet Of Thinking at SMK Negeri 9 Medan. Data was collected using interviews, questionnaires, measurements and documentation. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis techniques. The results of the research produce an e-library application that is used in library processing by utilizing the Internet of Think (IOT). The test results show very good results based on 5 aspects of ISO 25010 characteristics, namely: functional suitability in the good category, usability with the test results in the very decent category, portability with the test results running well on nine different types of Android, performance efficiency with good test results, and compatibility with test results can run well when run concurrently with other applications.

Abstract

Internet of Things (IoT) devices are now starting to be widely used, one of which is IoT Monitoring. The use of electricity by boarding house tenants is often negligent, they feel they have paid the boarding fee and are wasting electricity even though it is not used, for example, the lights in a boarding room where there are no people inside. Likewise with the bathroom if the water tub is full, often the occupants of the boarding house are indifferent to water. The use of ACS712 and ZMPT101B sensors to see the electricity usage of each boarding room. Boarding room security is strengthened by the use of RFID modules and PPIR sensors. Electrical tools and Solenoid Door Lock can be controlled via an android application. The accuracy of the sensor reading electricity usage is still below normal limits, namely 0.11% -0.74% for volts, and 0.72% -3.84% for current. In sending orders from the android application there is a delay in the response of the device due to factors that cannot be calculated, namely internet connection
