Abstract

This research aimed to describe the effectiveness of the open-ended and CTL approach in terms of creative thinking. This research was quasi-experimental study design with nonequivalent pretest-posttest design goup. The research population was all students in class VII SMP Negeri 1 Sekampung which consisted of five classes. The research sample consisted of two classes is determined randomly. First experimental group was treated the open-ended and experimental group II were treated CTL approach. The one sample t-test carried out to investigate the effectiveness of the open-ended and CTL approach. Data collection techniques used were tests. Engineering tests used to measure student creative thinking on basic competencies: 1) identify the properties of a rectangle, square, trapezoid, parallelogram, rhombus and a kite; 2) calculate the circumference and area of a rectangle up and use it in problem solving both before and after treatment. The results of the research show that the open-ended and CTL approach is effective in terms of creative thinking. Keywords: open-ended, contextual teaching and learning, creative thinking

Abstract

The aims of this research were to increase the mastery learning of student by implementation of cooperative Learning type number head together. The method of the reseacrh was Classroom Action Research. The Instrument of data collection used formatif test sheet and photo documentation. Technique of data analysis used qualitative and quantitative analysis. Based on the results of this research showed that through a cooperative learning type Numbered Heads Together (NHT) can increase student mathematics learning completeness VIID class. Increased mastery learning mathematics student looks from the average value of the class, the average value of the final test grade students cycle known to increase students mastery learning mathematics in the first cycle was 74.3 to 76.2 in the second cycle. In addition, the number of students who received grades greater than or equal to 75 also increased from the first cycle is 16 students or 50% to 25 students or 78.12%.Keywords:  cooperative learning, mastery learning, NHT

Abstract

Children who study the Koran at the TPA often feel bored, especially when memorization activities are hampered by the lack of participants. To overcome boredom and increase their creativity, a tote bag making program was designed as an interesting and educational innovation. Tote bags, or handbags, were chosen as a simple medium to train children's art and craft skills. This Community Service Program (PkM) was implemented at the Nurul Amin Mosque TPA, Yosorejo District, with the main objective of increasing creativity, teaching the value of cooperation, and building a sense of ownership of their work. This activity involved a participatory method, with the main participants being the TPA children. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively to measure the results of the participants' skills and enthusiasm. The results of the program showed that the children succeeded in making tote bags with creative designs, reflecting their increased art skills. Participants also showed high enthusiasm, indicating reduced boredom and increased involvement. This program also encouraged good social interaction among children. The success of this activity is proof that the participatory method can be a model for other community empowerment programs.Keywords: creativity; media; totebag AbstrakAnak-anak yang mengaji di TPA sering merasa bosan, terutama saat kegiatan hafalan terkendala minimnya kehadiran peserta. Untuk mengatasi kejenuhan dan meningkatkan kreativitas mereka, program pembuatan tote bag dirancang sebagai inovasi yang menarik sekaligus mendidik. Tote bag, atau tas jinjing, dipilih sebagai media sederhana untuk melatih keterampilan seni dan kerajinan anak-anak. Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini dilaksanakan di TPA Masjid Nurul Amin, Kecamatan Yosorejo, dengan tujuan utama meningkatkan kreativitas, mengajarkan nilai kerja sama, dan membangun rasa kepemilikan terhadap karya mereka. Kegiatan ini melibatkan metode partisipatif, dengan peserta utama adalah anak-anak TPA. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk mengukur hasil keterampilan dan antusiasme peserta. Hasil program menunjukkan anak-anak berhasil membuat tote bag dengan desain kreatif, mencerminkan peningkatan keterampilan seni mereka. Peserta juga menunjukkan antusiasme yang tinggi, menandakan berkurangnya kejenuhan dan meningkatnya keterlibatan mereka. Program ini juga mendorong interaksi sosial yang baik di antara anak-anak. Keberhasilan kegiatan ini menjadi bukti bahwa metode partisipatif dapat menjadi model untuk program pemberdayaan masyarakat lainnya.Kata Kunci: kreativitas; media; totebag DOI: https://doi.org/10.23960/rp/v4i2.hal.56-65

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengedukasi dan memberdayakan kelompok Dasawisma di Desa Sidodadi dalam mengolah botol plastik bekas menjadi produk tas yang cantik dan bernilai ekonomis. Melalui pelatihan intensif, para anggota kelompok diajarkan teknik daur ulang kreatif yang mengubah limbah plastik menjadi barang kerajinan yang dapat dijual. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan dan kreativitas warga dalam mengelola sampah plastik, serta kontribusi signifikan terhadap pengurangan limbah lingkungan. Selain itu, program ini berhasil membuka peluang usaha baru bagi masyarakat desa, yang berdampak positif terhadap perekonomian lokal. Inovasi ini membuktikan bahwa pengelolaan sampah berbasis komunitas dapat menjadi solusi efektif dalam menangani masalah lingkungan sekaligus meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat.
