Abstract

Today air intake system for internal combustion engines has experience changes to increase its performance. In existence of an appropriate air supply will affect the air-fuel ratio (AFR) and impact on the power generated and decrease the value of NOx for more complex effects. The increasing demand for energy encourages the creation of new technologies that increase the value of work in the form of decreasing emissions, increasing efficiency to longer durability. The method used in this study is a comparison of the results of each starting air system. The air intake system functions as an air supply for the combustion process, the first air intake system utilizing atmospheric pressure to push air into the combustion chamber which today has developed with a turbo system. Turbo system has functions to increase the amount of air supply and compress it, so that the combustion process will be more efficient and produce more environmentally friendly exhaust gases and more optimal power, in other words better efficiency this is known as a turbocharger.

Abstract

The variety of fishing gear used by fishermen in Indonesia initiates how to choose the most environmentally friendly fishing gear with good efficiency. The Indonesian government bans cantrang fishing gear because it endangers fish ecosystems and coral reefs. It was then replaced with a longline. This study employs a case study method with descriptive analysis focusing on a case in detail and intensively. In addition to reviewing the environmental impact of using fishing gear cantrang and bottom longline, this study also analyzes the costs required for both tools from manufacture to maintenance, and the revenue of the catch. Based on the research conducted, the capital required for cantrang fishing gear is IDR. 29,450,000 and a longline of IDR. 29,030,000. The profit generated by the cantrang fishing gear for a year is IDR. 56,012,000 while the longline is IDR. 33,836,000. Therefore, it can be concluded that replacing the cantrang fishing gear with a bottom longline is considered simpler, environmentally friendly, inexpensive, and easy to develop.

Abstract

Komoditas jagung merupakan Hasil pertanian unggulan di Indonesia, salah satunya di Desa Sumberkerep. Namun jagung belum dimaksimalkan pemanfaatannya oleh masyarakat desa setempat. Jagung yang dijual mentah kepada tengkulak seringkali dihargai dengan sangat murah dan tidak adanya pengolahan lebih lanjut membuat nilai jual jagung menjadi rendah sehingga perekonomian di Desa sumberkerep juga kurang maksimal. Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah mendeskripsikan kegiatan diversifikasi komoditas jagung mulai pada tahap pengolahan sampai cara memasarkan hasil pengolahan jagung. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 10 Februari 2023 di Balai desa Sumberkerep melalui kegiatan KKN mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Gresik, dengan dihadiri 15 peserta yang terdiri dari ibu-ibu PKK dan masyarakat setempat. Secara umum kegiatan ini meliputi pengelolaan jagung menjadi es jagung, serta bagaimana cara pemasaran produk. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memaksimalkan hasil pertanian jagung yang merupakan salah satu komoditas yang unggul di desa Sumberkerep dan diharapkan dapat meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat sekitar. Kegiatan tersebut mendapatkan tanggapan yang cukup positif dari masyarakat terutama istri para petani dan para pelaku umkm, karena bagi mereka inovasi kreatif ini sangat menarik untuk di kembangkan dan selanjutnya bisa diberikan tindak lanjut.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi bertujuan untuk memudahkan manusia dalam menjalankan aktivitas. Salah satunya adalah perkembangan teknologi komunikasi. Kini sudah bermunculan berbagai macam platform media social yang dapat difungsikan sebagai media iklan atau promosi yang cukup efektif. Dengan waktu yang relative singkat produk dapat dikenal oleh masyarakat yang lebih luas. Selain itu pendampingan terhadap pelaku usaha UMKM (Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah) juga diperlukan untuk membantu UMKM tersebut mengembangkan metode produksi yang lebih efektif dan daya serap produk yang lebih masksimal. Dalam pengabdian masyarakat kali ini yang menjadi obyek adalah UMKM Mina Laut Sidayu khususnya produksi olahan ikan berupa kerupuk ikan.

Abstract

This research contains the coating repair process and costs required for a fishing boat with a hull length of 11 meters, starting from docking and cleaning old paint, with the aim of finding out the amount of materials neededand coating costs needed for a wooden boat. To determine how much paint should be used for wooden ship repairs. Qualitative description method, which is included in the qualitative research category. This writer aims to reveal events, phenomena, variables, situations and circumstances, facts that occur. Because almost all ship building materials are wood. In order for paint to meet the specified requirements, it must comply with the specified painting process, pre-inspection, surface preparation, paint preparation, and paint application. For thisreason, it is necessary to know the various types of painting techniques that must be prepared before carrying outthe process of painting the ship's hull. The coating process on the ship's hull uses 2 different types of paint, namely the Avian brand for base paint and the Avian moustrial and marine coating brand for color paint. Where each part of the ship is covered with 2 parts. i.e. base paint, the result is 10 liters with a hull area of 48m2. With a totalcost of Rp740,000, the yield of color paint was 9.6 liters, namely Rp816,000. So from this research it can be concluded that using base paint and anti-fouling paint is more profitable because it has been calculated and you can buy the right paint without having to have any leftovers. And the usage time is longer because the paint thickness is according to the specified one.

Abstract

This research contains an analysis of fishermen's boat maintenance starting from the availability of resources, repair methods, maintenance, costs and duration of the maintenance process. This is an issue that must be properly understood by boat owners and prospective fishermen. To determine the ideal type of wooden ship or FRP ship for use, the qualitative description method, which is included in the qualitative research category. To reveal actual events during research, the author's goal is to reveal events, phenomena, variables, situations and circumstances. This will allow us to present factual events as they unfold. The wooden boats and fiber boats studied on Jalan Ujungpangkah experienced different types of damage, so the repair and maintenance techniques or methods were not the same. On wooden ships, the damage that occurs is engine damage, hull damage, deck damage and keel damage. Whereas fiber boats include engine damage and propeller damage, the damage experienced by wooden and fiberglass boats is different and the repair techniques are also different. It can be seen from the calculation results that the cost of repairing a wooden boat is much more expensive than a fiberglass boat. Due to the strengthof the material, wooden boats have maintenance intervals of 5 years, more often than fiberglass boats, which is 20 to 12 years.

Abstract

The cooling system is a system that functions to maintain the engine temperature at a certain temperature in accordance with the specified design so that the diesel engine can operate continuously. For cooling of a diesel eninge. Fisherman Village of Ngimbo Village is a coastal area which is an area full of marine potential, the local community on average works as fisherman. This research was conducted using the interview method with fisherman, especially those who own boats. The questionnaire was addressed to 10 fisherman. The results of the study show that fisherman’s boats in Ngimbo Village use seawater cooling, in wich fisherman modify the cooling system of the Dongfeng brand diesel engine using a head exchanger for fishing motor boats aiming for cooling water temperatures in the 60°C - 90°C range and replacing the open cooling system method which are considered less efficient and have many negative impacts on the engine such as corrision and the temperature of the cooling water in the water jacket is brought to the specified standard. Special orecautions must be taken to accommodate open systems. For example, some engines can be equipped with an aftercooler as well as cleaning the core of the corrosion-resistant pipe. Aftercoolers from round tubes are designed lik fin plates and can be disassembled for cleaning, so they are ready for use in open systems.
