Abstract

Development in the field of science and technology has resulted in very basic changes, including changes in the perspective between the positions of men and women. The impact of these changes has resulted in more opportunities for women to participate in the public world. The same is true for women in Kusamba Village in the fish management industry. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method by using a purposive sample informant determination technique. While the data collection techniques use observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The theory used to analyze the problem is Pierre Bourdieu's generative structural theory and Foucault's knowledge-power relation theory. The results showed that the struggle of women in Kusamba Village in the fish processing center was able to improve the welfare of families and communities. This can be proven by the increasing number of women's savings in the Kusamba Village Credit Institution. The success of women in improving the welfare of their families and communities has not been able to increase the bargaining position of women in politics, both in the family and in the community.

The purpose of this study is to explain and examine epics that can be used in the development and inculcation of Hindu values in early childhood. This study uses the literature study method in this case, namely data obtained by conducting studies from various sources of literature. The results of the study show that the inculcation of Hindu religious values in character development in early childhood is very effective, because in Hindu epics there are many stories of heroes who are able to create an attraction for children to listen to, there are also values that can foster a child's character. For example, in the epic Rāmāyaņa which provides a lot of information and learning about moral and ethical values. The inculcation of Hindu religious values in early childhood through Wiracarita is very important, given the increasingly advanced technological developments so it is rare to find parents who tell stories found in Hindu literature and are more focused on using social media such as Youtube.

Abstract

This research discusses Rsi Agastya, who is significant in Hindu civilization. Rsi Agastya's believed to be a priest who brought and taught Hindu teachings both in India and Indonesia. Because of this excellent service, various Dharma terms were given to Rsi Agastya, such as Agastya Yatra and Pita Segara. The narrative regarding the presence of Rsi Agastya in the archipelago is thought to take the form of a play that is then put together, combined with epics, namely stories from the Mahābhārata. The strong influence of Rsi Agastya's teachings can be seen through archaeological discoveries in statues and temples, such as the Clown Temple, specifically intended as a place to worship Rsi Agastya. From the archaeological findings, it can be seen that Rsi Agastya is not considered a Hindu priest but is positioned as Adi Guru and is even considered a representation of Shiva.

Abstract

Yoga could be defined as a spiritual science that is currently growing rapidly almost everywhere around the globe. This particular yoga practice, which combines traditional and modern techniques, is intended to enhance all three aspects of physical, mental, and spiritual health in the human body. Asana practice, pranayama exercises, and meditation are the three yoga practices through which these three components can be attained. The third part of Astangga Yoga (the eight stages of doing yoga) is the practice of Asanas or physical movements. Asanas are described as an upright pleasant position. By practicing asanas for 45 minutes in the morning or in the evening, either through Surya Namaskara Yoga movements or individual Asanas movements, one may stretch the muscles, joints, and nerves in the body. The second exercise namely Pranayama, or breathing methods of control; in this situation, proper and good breath control may promote calmness. Respiratory control could also affect an individual’s capacity for controlling their anxiety and handling too much stress. The current condition is able to be obtained due to the breath control that is capable to produce a favorable impact on neurotransmitters, the activity of alpha waves, and the activity of the vagal tone (neurological systems that control the heart, lungs, and gastrointestinal tract). This is therefore capable of producing tremendous usefulness for decreasing passion and providing a sense of calmness. Ability to induce a relaxation state despite undue exertion or pressure. Once the first two exercises are completed successfully, the third practice is meditation, which tries to connect the energy inside humans with the energy of the cosmos or may be viewed as the individual recognizing and comprehending who he/she actually is. Holistic health may be developed or established after these three elements have been attained through yoga practice.
