Abstract

ABSTRAKStrategi pembelajaran yang tepat di dalam sebuah proses pembelajaran terbukti dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di sekolah dasar. Tidak jarang para pendidik mengalami kesulitan saat melakukan proses pembelajaran karena kesalahan memilih strategi pembelajaran yang tepat dikelasnya. Dalam penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dalam suatu pembelajaran di sekolah dasar jika memanfaatkan strategi pembelajaran discovery learning. Kajian penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian R&D/Research and Development. Penelitian dan pengembangan berfungsi untuk memvalidasi dan mengembangkan produk pendidikan. Memvalidasi produk berarti produk itu telah ada dan peneliti hanya menguji efektivitas atau validitas produk pendidikan tersebut. Produk pendidikan yang dimaksud disini adalah perangkat lunak yaitu strategi pembelajaran.  Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa dengan memanfaatkan strategi pembelajaran discovery learning maka hasil belajar siswa sekolah dasar terdapat peningkatan. Strategi pembelajaran discovery lerning mengasah kemampuan berpikir siswa sekolah dasar untuk berpikir secara kritis serta menemukan sendiri konsep materi pembelajaran melalui berbagai kegiatan sehingga melakat pada ingatan siswa. Strategi pembelajaran ini pilihan yang tepat untuk melatih siswa untuk berpikir secara mandiri serta percaya diri untuk mengemukakan pendapatnya dan juga membuat pembalajaran menjadi aktif.Kata Kunci: Strategi Pembelajaran, Discovery Learning, Sekolah DasarABSTRACTThe right learning strategy in a learning process is proven to improve student learning outcomes in elementary schools. It is not uncommon for educators to experience difficulties when carrying out the learning process because of mistakes in choosing the right learning strategy in their class. This study aims to see the improvement of student learning outcomes in an elementary school learning if using discovery learning strategies. This research study uses a literature study research method with a descriptive qualitative approach where the instrument of assessment is the researcher himself. This research was obtained from collecting and exploring various literature sources which came from various relevant sources, after which the researchers concluded in an outline so that it could be easily understood. The results of this study indicate that by utilizing the discovery learning strategy, the learning outcomes of elementary school students have increased. Discovery learning learning strategies hone elementary school students' thinking skills to think critically and find their own concepts of learning materials through various activities so that they are attached to students' memories. This learning strategy is the right choice to train students to think independently and confidently to express their opinions and also make learning active.Keywords: Learning Strategy, Discovery Learning, Elementary School

Abstract

The progress of technological developments cannot be avoided so the role of character education is very necessary in welcoming education in the 21st century. Moreover, in 21st century education, especially for elementary school students, most schools have introduced technology. This article aims to find out and analyze more deeply the role of character education for elementary school students in facing 21st century educational technology. This research study uses qualitative data collection techniques or a descriptive approach. Where the theory and basis for discussion are obtained from the results of literature studies from several sources such as books, journals and articles. Instilling character education from school age, especially at elementary school level, is important so that it can form the character of students who are responsible, caring, have integrity and think critically in acting using technology in education.
