Abstract

The conversion of used lubricating oil towards fuel oil by catalytic conversion is a suitable way to recycle waste oil. Catalyst has a key role in used lubricating oil conversion. Therefore this research was to study the catalytic cracking of used lubricating oil, and thus its properties as an alternative for fuel oil over aluminum fosfate. The experiments were carried out in a batch microreactor at a temperature of 350-400 oC, atmospheric initial air pressure, 5% w/w catalyst concentration, and reaction time of 5 min over aluminum fosfate catalyst. Aluminum fosfate catalyst produced low-density liquid product, and low viscosity of used lubricant oil conversion at any temperature of 350 – 400 oC, compared with those over alumina. Moreover, product converted at 400 oC is easy to flare. The credible reason for the low density and viscosity of AlPO4 can be proposed by three potentials: this catalyst is an acid type, the acid type is Bronsted and Lewis and this catalyst has a resistance toward contaminant.

Abstract

Menurut kementerian perindustrian penggunaan produk plastik masih relatif tinggi di berbagai bidang manufaktur seperti industri bidang kemasan produk makanan dan minuman, bidang kosmetik, bidang elektronik, dan bidang otomotif. Tingginya penggunaan produk plastik karena plastik mempunyai beberapa keunggulan seperti ringan, tahan korosi, mudah dibentuk, dan murah harganya. Kecenderungan konsumen lebih memilih menggunakan produk plastik menyebabkan produsen bersaing ketat untuk memenuhi permintaan konsumen. Produsen sebagai penghasil produk utama plastik berusaha meningkatkan kuantitas dan kualitas produksi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh parameter waktu injeksi dan tekanan injeksi terhadap berat produk corong (funnel) dengan menggunakan plastik jenis polypropylene. Metode untuk pengambilan data adalah eksperimen. Penelitian ini menggunakan variabel bebas waktu injeksi dan tekanan dengan variasi waktu injeksi 5 detik, 6 detik, dan 7 detik. Sedangkan variasi tekanan injeksi adalah 36 bar, 37 bar, 38 bar, 39 bar, dan 40 bar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dan menggunakan analisis korelasi. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel bebas waktu injeksi 7 detik dan tekanan injeksi 40 bar berpengaruh signifikan terhadap variabel terikat berat produk corong.

Abstract

The influence of inappropriate injection molding parameters often results in product defects, one of which is the short shot, which is a condition where the plastic to be injected into the cavity does’t reach the ideal capacity. The purpose of this research is to understand and be able to explain the parameters of holding pressure, inject pressure, and the interaction of these two parameters on short shot defects in cover pot products with the injection molding process. This research uses independent variables, namely holding pressure with variations of 20 Bar, 30 Bar, and 40 Bar and inject pressure with variations of 15 Bar, 30 Bar, and 45 Bar and dependent variables in the form of short shot defects. The method used in this research is a factorial experiment with replication of 10 (ten) times and data processing analysis using ANOVA with the help of Minitab 21.2.0 statistical software. The result of this research is that there is a significant influence of holding pressure, inject pressure, and the interaction of these two parameters on short shot defects in cover pot products with injection molding process. The average weight of the product produced at the interaction of the parameters holding pressure 40 Bar and inject pressure 45 Bar is 8.8 grams (normal) so as to minimize product defects to improve the quality and quantity of cosmetic packaging production cover pot.

Abstract

Desa Kedungrejo adalah salah satu desa yang berada di Kecamatan Pakis, Kabupaten Malang. Salah satu pemukiman warga yang terdapat di desa tersebut adalah pemukiman warga di RT/RW 05/10. Pemukiman warga RT/RW 05/10 Desa Kedungrejo berada di belakang perkebunan buah maupun sayuran, sehingga tidak terlihat dari jalan utama. Kondisi ini membuat daerah pemukiman tersebut perlu menyediakan infrastruktur terkait tindakan pencegahan terjadinya tindak kriminal, diantaranya adalah adanya CCTV. Sejalan dengan pemikiran di atas, dilakukan suatu kegiatan pemberdayaan masyarakat untuk mewujudkan lingkungan yang aman dan nyaman. Metode kegiatan ini diawali dengan analisis situasi kemudian dilanjutkan dengan survey dan observasi lokasi, selanjutnya persiapan kegiatan yang meliputi pembelian alat dan bahan, diikuti oleh pelatihan, pemasangan dan perakitan CCTV, yang terakhir adalah pelaporan dan evaluasi kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Hasil yang didapat pada kegiatan ini adalah penambahan pengetahuan mitra tentang upaya peningkatan Keamanan lingkungan sekitar dengan penerapan teknologi digital berupa IP Camera CCTV serta terpasangnya 6 unit IP Camera CCTV Outdoor di lingkungan RT/RW 05/10, Desa Kedungrejo Kab. Malang

Abstract

The quality of production goods, especially milling on aluminum material, is considered good if it is characterized by good surface quality of the components and efficient (short) machining time. There are various factors that affect this. This study investigated the CNC milling machining parameters, namely depth of cut and step over, which were written as the influence of the number and direction of cuts on the surface quality and machining time of aluminum materials. The purpose was to obtain the appropriate parameters so that the machining process is more efficient and with the appropriate quality. The CNC milling used was CNC Dahlih with a 6mm diameter tool, feed rate of 460 mm/min, and rotational speed of 2800 RPM. The variables were vertical cutting direction (depth of cut 5mm) with variations in step over of 0.5 mm, 1 mm, and 2 mm, and horizontal cutting direction (step over 5mm) with variations in depth of cut of 0.5mm, 1mm, and 2mm. So that the number of cuts can be equalized to 4, 6, and 12 in the vertical and horizontal cutting directions. The results showed that the more cuts, the lower the surface roughness, but it increased the machining time.
