Abstract

This research aimed at finding out whether or not the implementation of context clues strategy is effective to improve students` reading comprehension at the eighth grade of MTs. Al-Falah Baras Mamuju Utara. The students` reading comprehension was restricted to two indicators namely literal comprehension (main idea and conclusion) and interpretative comprehension (conclusion). The researcher used preexperimental research. The researcher conducted pre-test, treatment and post-test in the total of six meetings. Reading test was used as instrument. The samples of the research were 23 students in VIII Putri class. The researcher took real data from school to know the students` reading comprehension. The result of the research showed that the t-test values in terms of literal comprehension (5.52) and interpretative comprehension (5.27). The final t-test values (5.395) were higher that ttable (1.717) at the level of significant (p) = 0.05 with degree of freedom (df) = 22. The differences between t-test and t-table was very significant. It means that the Null Hypothesis (H0) was rejected and Alternative Hypothesis (H1) was accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that implementation context clues strategy is effective to improve students` reading comprehension

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui analisis kegiatan pramuka dalam Menanamkan karakter disiplin siswa SD Negeri Taeng Kabupaten Gowa. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Prosedur penelitian meliputi tahap pra lapangan, tahap pekerjaan lapangan dan penyusunan laporan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SD Negeri Taeng Kabupaten Gowa. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah angket dan wawancara. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini yaitu mencatat data dari responden, mengumpulkan data sesuai fokus penelitian, membuat kategori data agar dapat dimaknai, mencari hubungan-hubungan antar kategori, memilih teknik penyajian data untuk pembahasan, membuat temuan-temuan umum dari hasil penelitian, menginterprestasikan data dengan merujuk kepada kajian teoritik, memverifikasi interprestasi dan membuat kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang dilakukan peneliti, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa pendidikan kepramukaan memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam menanamkan karakter disiplin pada siswa SD Negeri Taeng. Pembentukan jadwal kegiatan pramuka yang rutin dan konsisten dapat membantu siswa mengembangkan kebiasaan yang terstruktur dan tanggung jawab dalam mengatur waktu mereka, penerapan aturan yang ketat dan jelas dalam setiap kegiatan pramuka mengajarkan siswa tentang pentingnya mematuhi instruksi, memahami konsekuensi dari tindakan mereka, dan bertanggung jawab atas pilihan yang mereka buat, serta keterlibatan aktif dari pembina dan orang tua memperkuat nilai-nilai disiplin yang diajarkan selama kegiatan pramuka.

Abstract

This study aims to explore strategies for enhancing the quality of Pancasila Education (PPKn) learning through the application of the cooperative Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model combined with the interactive media Quizizz in the fourth grade at SD Inpres Mariso 2. This innovative approach is designed to transform the teaching and learning process into a more participatory, engaging, and meaningful experience for students. The rese arch employs a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method conducted in two systematic cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection phases. The subjects of the study include 30 students, and data collection techniques involve learning outcome tests, activity observations, and in-depth interviews. The results indicate that the applied learning model is effective in improving students' academic achievements. The average score of students significantly increased from 70 in the first cycle to 85 in the second cycle. These findings not only reflect an improvement in academic performance but also enhancements in social interaction, learning motivation, and active student engagement in the learning process. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of using cooperative learning models and digital media in primary education. Therefore, this research concludes that the implementation of the TGT model and interactive media Quizizz is an effective alternative for improving student learning outcomes in the fourth grade.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students’ difficulties in solving mathematics problems on the topic of three-dimensional shapes, including difficulties in using concepts, principles, and solving verbal problems. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of tests, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of 3 students from a total of 22 fifth-grade students at SD Inpres Pare’ Pare’, Bajeng District, Gowa Regency, who were selected based on high, medium, and low levels of mathematical ability. The obtained data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that difficulties in using concepts were experienced by students with both high and low abilities. High-ability students had difficulty because they forgot formulas. Meanwhile, low-ability students showed a deep lack of understanding of basic concepts of three-dimensional shapes, such as formulas for volume and surface area. Difficulties in using principles were experienced by students with medium and low abilities. They often made errors in calculations, used incorrect formulas, or did not complete the problem-solving process correctly. This indicates a weak mastery of basic mathematical principles. Difficulties in solving verbal problems were experienced by students with medium and low abilities. These students had difficulty understanding word problems, identifying relevant information, and formulating solution strategies. The main cause was the inability to relate contextual information to mathematical form.

Abstract

Islam is a religion that governs all aspects of human life, including relationships with Allah SWT and relationships with other human beings. One of the core teachings of Islam is the formation of noble morals as the foundation of individual and social life. This article aims to examine the concepts of Islam and morals, their relationship, the types of morals in Islam, the sources of morals, and their implementation in daily life. The writing method used is a literature study by examining the Quran, hadith, and relevant scientific literature. The results of the study indicate that morals are a concrete manifestation of faith and serve as a benchmark for the quality of a person's Islam. The consistent implementation of Islamic morals can shape the character of a faithful, knowledgeable, and responsible Muslim who is able to face the challenges of modern life.
