Abstract

The patriarchal culture that is gender biased has been proven to bring a negative effect in the harmony of human life. Men and women ideally must complete one-another and support each other in different ways. However patriarchal culture has made men became the main actors, dominant and hegemonic, and women became the figurant side, on the border and unable to express themselves. This 'sidedness' in the world of informational technology is one of the real facts in this problem. This article tries to prove how women's access to the technological world has been 'walled' since the beginning and how women are positioned only as a profitable object by exploiting their body and sexuality by technological practitioners. In the end of this article, the writer advises the need of a world-view patriarchal deconstruction, a cultural revolution, and a reformation of social structure as a way out of this problem.

Abstract

Keragaman agama dan kepercayaan dalam kehidupan ini adalah suatu kenyataan yang tidak mungkin dihindari. Berhadapan dengan kenyataan tersebut setiap orang dan umat beragama dituntut untuk mengambil sikap yang tepat. Tidak mengherankan jika setelah menyadari pluralisme agama ini muncul pertanyaan-pertanyaan seperti Bagaimana cara terbaik untuk menjalin hubungan yang harmonis antar agama? Bagaimana seharusnya agama yang saya anut dan percayai kebenarannya dapat berinteraksi dengan agama lain? Cara dan pendekatan apa yang harus ditempuh, konfrontatif? dan lain semacamnya. Tulisan ini tidak bermaksud untuk menjawab pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang hingga saat ini masih belum mencapai jawaban final tersebut dalam kerangka hubungan Islam-Kristen, tetapi lebih merupakan satu upaya untuk mengungkap bahwasannya selama ini dalam interaksi Islam-Kristen yang menjadi landasannya adalah truth claim sehingga tidak mengherankan apabila antara kedua agama tersebut sering terlibat konflik, sejak awal pertemuan mereka hingga saat ini.

Abstract

Fenomena New Age merupakan modern life symptom yang berakar dari ketidakpuasan. Unsur utama yang menjadi akar ketidakpuasan tersebut adalah keringnya dunia modern dari spiritualitas. Hidup modern terlalu diwarnai oleh fenomena materialistik. Munculnya New Age merupakan “alternatif” bagi agama yang “kurang” mewarnai kehidupan modern. Salah satu gerakan New Age di Indonesia yag paling presstisius adalah Anand Ashram yang dipimpin oleh Anand Krishna. Artikel ini mencoba menelusuri bagaimana gerakan New Age  melihat. Dengan pendekatan filosofis penulis ingin memunculkan spirit baru dari gerakan New Age diantara Agama-Agama yang telah ada sebelumnya.Kata kunci: New Age, gerakan Symptom, Anand Krisna

whether his interpretations are grounded in a coherent epistemological framework or primarily driven by intuitive reflection. The analysis draws on Rudolf Bultmann's hermeneutic theory of demythology as a comparative lens, given its focus on reinterpreting mythological elements to address existential concerns, particularly in the context of discussions about the future rather than historical facts. The research employs a literature-based approach, utilizing primary sources such as Hosein's works on eschatology and Bultmann's writings on demythology, alongside secondary sources from relevant academic literature. The findings reveal notable methodological parallels between Hosein’s interpretations and Bultmann’s demythologization, particularly in their shared use of hermeneutic techniques. However, a key distinction lies in their epistemological foundations: while Bultmann approaches the New Testament through a Christian existentialist lens, Hosein’s interpretations are deeply rooted in Sufi epistemology and his perspective as a Muslim scholar interpreting the Qur'an.

Abstract

In 2023, the number of elderly Hajj pilgrims has increased significantly due to the accumulation of the Covid-19 period and priority policies. A total of 67,199 elderly Hajj pilgrims have become priority records as Hajj pilgrims who must receive special treatment. This research aims to explain, understand and discover how elderly Hajj pilgrims express themselves as individuals who are carrying out the Hajj pilgrimage and build an intimate relationship with the crew member accompanying him. The paradigm used in this research is Post Positivism with a qualitative approach using the case study method. In the research used theory is self disclosure with indicators of 5 dimensions, namely amount, valency, accuracy, Intention and Intimate and intimacy theory. The findings in this research are that self-disclosure carried out by elderly Hajj pilgrims and flight attendants forms a close, protective family relationship.

Abstract

This research seeks to reveal the meaning of the short story "Kafanu Al - Ust??i" in the short story anthology Gur?bunwa Kit?bah by Haif?? B???r. The theory used to reveal meaning in research is Schleiermacher's romantic hermeneutics. The method used is a qualitative method with two typical Schleiermacher text interpretation models, namely Grammatical Interpretation and Psychological Interpretation. Grammatical interpretation aims to reveal the meanings of the short story "Kafanu Al - Ust??i" through word-to-word relationships (language analysis), while the meaning of grammatical interpretation will be completed through its relationship with the author based on Psychological Interpretation. Based on the analysis carried out on the short story "Kafanu Al - Ust??i" in the short story anthology Gur?bunwa Kit?bah by Haif?? B???r with Schleiermacher's romantic hermeneutic theory, several things were found: 1) women are human beings who must be considered equal to men, 2) the obstruction of women in achieving Her ideals are very likely caused by repression that comes from men, and 3) discrimination against women is something that cannot be justified.

Abstract

Democracy and capitalism is regarded as the final system of economic and political systems. All people don’t accept the democracy as the best final political system, including among Muslims. This study intends to look at the compatibility of democracy and Islam by Khaled Abou El Fadl’s view. This library research found that according to El Fadl, a con­sistent practice of Islam should be brought to the practice of democratic politics, any institutional system that is used. The basic values of democracy, namely respect for difference, actually contained in the Qur'an, and even the early generations of Islam had been implemented well. El Fadl positive perspective towards democracy can not be separated from the development paradigm of anti-authoritarian­ism
