Abstract

Study on fruit flies species in red chili plantation jalur 03 Kepenuhan Sejati village District Kepenuhan of Rokan Hulu. This study was conducted from November to December 2014 using a survey method. The research found 4 species with a total of 202 individuals. Bactrocera species obtained are calumniata, B. caudata, B. cucurbitae and B. papayae. Fruit fly species most widely found was B. cucurbitae the total number of 199 individuals, whereas B. calumniata, B. caudata and B. papayae there is only one individual in each species, since B. cucurbitae has a host plant more than 125 plant.

Abstract

Purpose of this study as to determine the species of plants used as traditional medicine, parts used and the efficacy of the plants by district community Rambah Samo. This study was conducted from November 2014 until January 2015. This study is qualitative with interview and survey technique. The result found 21 family from 38 species of plants are used as traditional medicine. Parts used in the form of leaves, rhizomes, roots, whole plant, stem, fruit and sap. How to use is by boiling, drops and engulfed. The most commonly treated diseases are blood sugar disease and cough.

Abstract

The aims of this study was to determine the genera of ants on palm oil plantations around Pasir Pengaraian University. This study was conducted from October to December 2014 by using survey method with random sampling technique. The sample was collected by pit fall trap and bait trap. The samples were collected with a 2 x 2 meter square plots on palm oil tree at campus gate, around campus and behind the campus. Results showed the ants with 4 subfamily and 10 genera. They were Dolicoderus, Anoplolepis, Camponotus, Oecopylla, Paratrechina, Polyrhachis Lophomyrmex, Solenopsis, Odontomachus dan Odontoponera

Abstract

Study about community and structure of Gastropods in Sipogas Lake Rokan Hulu Regency Riau Province has been conducted in August to December 2014 by using survey method and line transect techniques. Samples were collected by using by eckman dredge end hand collecting in line transect. Result showed 4 families, 6 species. Density values ranged from 0.1-9.4 individual /m2, diversity index value ranged from 0-1.21 can be concluded in low and moderate category, similarity index value ranged from 0-1 can be concluded in similar and non-similar deployment, dominance index value ranged 0.33-1.

Abstract

Study of the community and structure of gastropods in river tributaries Sangkir Rokan Left has been conducted from December to January 2015 with survey method meanwhile sampling technique with purposive random sampling in three sites, upstream, midstream and downstream. Samples were collected with eckman grab from 3 site with 5 repetitions. Result showed, 4 families with 6 species were found, meanwhile abundance 151,1 to 853,2individuals/ m2, diversity index 0.68 to 1.31, Similarity 0.7 to 0.98 and dominance 0.29 to 0.52. Physical and chemical parameters that influence is the temperature of 280C, pH 6, dissolved oxygen 5.25 to 5.55 mg/l and organic substrate concentration 0.22% - 2.43%.

Abstract

Study about density and distribution pattern of golden snail (Pomacea canaliculata) at irigation Batang Samo Suka Maju Village Rokan Hulu Regency has been conducted in August to December 2014 with survey method and purposiv random sampling tecniques by used 1x1 meters squared plot and thrown at three observation stations as much as 50 hurl times. The results shown that density P.canaliculata subsequently in three station is 12,72 individuals/m2 in station 1, followed 4,92 individuals/m2 in station 2 and followed 8,4 individuals /m2 in station 3. Distribution pattern of P. canaliculata in three observation was grouped.

Abstract

The aims of study was to identify the fruit flies (Diptera: Tephritidae) species on fruit that traded in Pasir Pengaraian Modern Market Rambah District Rokan Hulu Regency. Study was conducted in October to December 2014, using survey method by way of fruitfly eggs spawned in several pieces that chilies red, mango, papaya, bananas and tomatoes. Results obtained three species of fruitfly Bactrocera carambolae, B. dorsalis and B. umbrosa. B. carambolae found in mangoas muchas 7 individual, B. dorsalis found in mangoas much as 3 individual and B. umbrosa found inred chiliesas much as10 individuals.

Abstract

The aims of this study was to determine distribution of Bivalvia (Mollusca) in Sipogas Lake Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau Province. The study was conducted in November to December 2014 with survey method. Sample collected by using eckman dredge with purposive random sampling, with four stations. Results showed, 1 species was found, it was Corbicula javanica with a total number of 77 individuals. The density was ranged from 17.78 to 64 individuals/m2, with distribution patterns on pattern of grouped distribution.

Abstract

Study about the diversity of butterflies (Rhopalocera) in Dusun Kumu Baru Rambah Hilir district Rokan Hulu regency was conducted in November to January 2015 by using survey method. Samples were collected by using insect net and cylindrical gauze with 6 repetitions with random sampling techniques. Results showed, several butterfly was found with 7 families, 16 genera and 21 species. Diversity index value ranged from 1.04 to 2.81 and concluded in moderate category.
