Abstract

Study about butterflies (Rhopalocera) in complex of Local Government Region Pasir Pengaraian Rokan HuluRiau has been conduafed in Desember 2014 to Januari 2015 with a survey method with a random samplingtechniques. Samples were collected by using insect net in complex area. Result showed 7 families, 10 generaand 10 spesies of butterflies were found, they were Acraea violae, Amathusia phidippus, Ideopsis vulgaris,Junonia orithya, Neptis hylas, Papilio polytes, Appias libythea, Catopsilia scylla, Elymnias hypermnestra danMelanitis leda.

Abstract

Study about structure of Gastropod communities in the Menaming dam Rambah district Rokan Hulu regency provice was conducted in July to December 2014 with survey method, the sample sampling technique is purposive sampling. Samples were collected using eckman dredge with 9 repetitions at each station that has been determined. The results showed three family 5 species, abundance 1022,22 indvidual / m2, diversity 0,81, uniformity of 0.56, dominance 0,61. Some of the environmental factors that affect the strukture community Gastropods are temperature, pH, Brightness, TSS, DO, and substrate. Substrate is a physical factor which greatly affects the water chemistry where Gastropods.

Abstract

Study about butterflies (Rhopalocera) around Pasir Pengaraian University campus Rokan hulu regency Riauprovince was conducted in August to December 2014 by using survey method with random sampling techniques.Samples collected by using insect net and cylindrical gauze on the campus gate, around the campus portal, around faculty of agriculture and around midwifery with 4 repetitions. Result showed 7 families, 16 genera and 24 species butterflies. Diversity index values was ranged from 2,19 to 2,48 and concluded in medium category

Abstract

The aims of this study was to determine composition and structure of weeds in oil palm plantations (Elaeis quinensis Jacq.) in Suka Maju Village Rambah subdistrict Rokan Hulu Regency. The study was conducted from September to December 2014 by using survey method with purposive sampling technique at each station with different age:3-5 years, 5-7 years, and >7 yearsand 3 repetitions. Results showed 17 families and 40 species of weeds were found. Density value ranges 0.01-14.15; KR: 1.1-70.38; Frequency: 0.08-1.00; FR: 0.59%- 7,10%; NP: 0.59%-76.89%; H’: 2.16-2.58 C: 0.12-0.20; J: 0.65-0.78 and similarity index 66.6%- 75.8%.

Abstract

Study about diversity of Gastropods (Mollusca) was conducted from April to August 2013 in Batang Kumu river, Pasir Pengaraian, Rokan Hulu Regency,Riau. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the diversity of Gastropods from the upper stream, middle stream and lower stream of the river by using 1 x 1 square transect. Total 181 individual/m2 of gastropods with 4 specieswere obtained, they are Pomacea canaliculata, Brotia sp., Melanoides tuberculata and Filopaludina javanica

Abstract

Study about Impact of Lanskape Change to Fish Diversity at Kumu River wasconducted from March-October 2013. The objective of the sudy was to evaluated todiverstity and morphology variation of fish at kumu river by using fishnet on samplinglocation (pit land, settlements and palm oil plantation). Total 558 ind, 7 family and 29species were obtained, they are Bagridae (2 species), Chandidae (1 species),Cobitidae (2 spesies), Cyprinidae (20 species), Hemiramphidae (1 species),Pristolepididae (1 species), Siluridae (2 spesies). Diversity index (H) was ranged from1.74 -1.95. Morfologycal variation from the species were not significant on p>0.05.
