Abstract

The fuzzy logic method is a method that is not much different from the case that resembles the level of thinking of people's logical reasoning. It has two inputs from two different sensors with linguistic values or called membership degrees and the resulting voltage is 0 - 5.5 Volts. The PIR sensor will work optimally at a distance of 4 meters where for the sensitivity of the PIR sensor itself it can react in a time range of 3-4 seconds and for its own range of approximately 4 meters and on the LM35 sensor test that this sensor is better for temperature due to the sensitivity of detecting temperature when compared to a thermometer, this sensor will be able to stabilize the room temperature which is less precise, so that in making the room for automatic cooling the sensor works optimally in a room measuring 4 x 4 meters.

Abstract

Employees are a company resource to produce services or goods to meet consumer needs. To improve the performance of company resources, companies need to meet the needs of employees and give appreciation to employees who have good performance, one of which is giving bonuses. PT Fiture Teknologi Inovasi is a company engaged in the field of IT solutions. Determining bonuses still uses manual methods and there is no media or tools that can process employee ratings who deserve bonuses. Based on the problems above, the authors made a decision to support a web-based bonus system using the weighted product and weighted sum methods. The result of this system is one employee who has the highest vector v value of the two methods. From the results of the calculation of the data, then the percentage of the method's suitability with the data is calculated.

Abstract

This journal writing is made with the following objectives, namely to designing the Circulation Services Dashboard at the Universitas Tarumanagara Library using Microsoft Power BI, monitoring the performance evaluation directly from 3 aspects of circulation services at the Universitas Tarumanagara (UNTAR) Library based on key performance indicator (KPI), and make it easier for library managers to read all circulation service transaction data based on the dashboard. By using literature study method and requirements prototype method, the dashboard design is displayed in the form of the bar chart using Microsoft Power BI. The design is divided based on 3 aspects, namely adding book titles, adding book copies, and book borrowing transactions. Based on the results of testing by the user on the Circulation Services Dashboard at the Universitas Tarumanagara Library, it can be concluded that the dashboard can display Year Filters, Month Filters, Science Field Filters, Book Title Addition Diagrams, Book Copy Addition Diagrams, Book Borrowing Transaction Diagrams, KPI Diagram for Adding Book Titles per Year, KPI Diagram for Adding Book Copies per Year, and KPI Diagram for Book Loan Transactions per Year properly and smoothly according to the user requests.

Abstract

Dashboard is a tool used to serve information in a visual or graphical indicator model that summarizes information to make it easier to understand. The purpose of this thesis is to create a dashboard application that can be used to measure the level of satisfaction and sales performance on CV. Plus Lestari Rakyat. The method used is Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) and Prototyping namely by listening to all kinds of input provided by users. The ETL method imports data into SQL SERVER and then converts it into master data which is easier to process into fact table data and is ready to become a master database. The result of making this dashboard is to assist users in analyzing and monitoring the level of satisfaction and sales at the company.

Abstract

A decision support system (DSS) for selecting coffee shops is a technological solution that can help coffee enthusiasts find coffee shops that suit their preferences. The purpose of this research is to design a decision support system to facilitate the selection of coffee shops. The methodology used in this research is the waterfall method which consists of needs analysis, design, implementation, and system testing. Needs analysis is carried out by conducting surveys and interviews with respondents who are coffee consumers. The results of the needs analysis will be used as the basis for system design. The system design is carried out using the ERD and DFD models, as well as the selection of the right programming language and database. Implementation is done by developing the system according to the design that has been made. Finally, system testing is carried out to ensure that the system can run properly and according to user requirements. It is hoped that the results of this study can provide benefits for coffee fans in choosing coffee shops that suit their preferences.

Abstract

One type of reptile that is currently developing is the Eublepharis Macularius or better known as the Leopard Gecko. Leopard Gecko is a tame reptile class animal that has a unique pattern on the outer skin of its body. The size of this animal is also not too big but also not too small, around 24 - 27 cm. The breeding of this animal is one of the interesting things to study because the sex of the Leopard Gecko can be influenced through the temperature setting of the egg incubator. Engineering the Leopard Gecko incubator for temperature is one of the interesting implementations of electrical engineering to enliven the Leopard Gecko industry. A simple plastic container can be engineered as a means of monitoring and controlling the temperature of the Leopard Gecko incubator by wireless Xbee. By controlling the temperature of the incubator, the sex of the Leopard Gecko eggs can be monitored. A certain temperature can determine the sex tendency of the Leopard Gecko. A temperature of 26°C can hatch female Leopard Gecko eggs, while a temperature of 32°C can hatch male Leopard Gecko eggs.  Some electronic equipment that can be used are such as temperature sensors, microcontrollers, ZigBee, relays, incandescent lamps, and monitors. With this set of electronic equipment, the temperature in the incubator can be monitored and controlled wirelessly. Kontainer plastik sederhana pun dapat direkayasa sebagai alat pemantauan dan pengendalian temperatur inkubator Leopard Gecko secara nirkabel Xbee. Dengan dikendalikannya temperatur pada inkubator, jenis kelamin hasil penetasan telur Leopard Gecko dapat dipantau. Temperatur tertentu dapat menentukan kecenderungan jenis kelamin dari Leopard Gecko tersebut. Temperatur 26oC dapat menetaskan telur Leopard Gecko berjenis kelamin betina, sedangkan pada temperatur 32oC dapat menetaskan telur Leopard Gecko berjenis kelamin jantan.  Beberapa peralatan elektronika yang dapat digunakan adalah seperti sensor suhu, mikrokontroler, ZigBee, relay, lampu pijar, dan monitor. Dengan rangkaian peralatan elektronika tersebut, temperatur pada inkubator dapat dipantau dan dikendalikan secara nirkabel pada rentang suhu 32,00oC - 32,50oC. Hal ini dilakukan untuk mengupayakan didapatkannya hasil penetasan telur Leopard Gecko berjenis kelamin jantan.

Abstract

This study aims to observe and analyze the load of the press machine using a star-delta configuration in a palm oil mill. The press machine is a key component in the palm oil extraction process, and its efficiency is significantly influenced by the motor control system used. The efficiency of the extraction process is crucial as it directly affects production output and operational costs. The star-delta configuration was chosen for its ability to reduce the initial current when the motor starts, thereby increasing motor lifespan and reducing maintenance and operational costs. In this study, the load of the press machine was measured during operational stages to comprehensively assess the performance of the star-delta configuration. Data collected included motor current and voltage during start-up and normal operation. This analysis aimed to determine the extent of initial current surge reduction achieved and load stability during operation. Observations showed that using the star-delta configuration significantly reduces initial current surges, which are often the main cause of motor damage and wear. Additionally, this configuration provides a more stable load during press machine operation, positively impacting overall energy efficiency. Therefore, this study provides valuable insights into the importance of using the star-delta configuration in the palm oil industry and its potential to enhance the performance and operational sustainability of the mill Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengamati dan menganalisis beban mesin press yang menggunakan rangkaian star-delta di pabrik kelapa sawit. Mesin press merupakan salah satu kunci utama dalam proses ekstraksi minyak kelapa sawit, dan efisiensinya sangat dipengaruhi oleh sistem pengendalian motor yang digunakan. Efisiensi proses ekstraksi sangat penting karena berkaitan langsung dengan output produksi dan biaya operasional pabrik. Rangkaian star-delta dipilih sebagai solusi karena kemampuannya untuk mengurangi arus awal saat motor dinyalakan, sehingga dapat meningkatkan umur motor dan mengurangi biaya perawatan serta operasional. Dalam penelitian ini, dilakukan pengukuran beban mesin press pada tahap operasional untuk menilai kinerja rangkaian star-delta secara komprehensif. Data yang dikumpulkan mencakup arus dan tegangan motor selama proses start-up dan operasi normal. Analisis ini bertujuan untuk menentukan seberapa besar pengurangan lonjakan arus awal yang dicapai dan stabilitas beban selama operasi berlangsung. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan rangkaian star-delta secara signifikan mengurangi lonjakan arus awal, yang sering menjadi penyebab utama kerusakan dan keausan motor. Selain itu, rangkaian ini memberikan beban yang lebih stabil selama operasi mesin press, yang berdampak positif pada keseluruhan efisiensi energi. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini memberikan wawasan berharga tentang pentingnya penggunaan rangkaian star-delta dalam industri kelapa sawit dan potensinya untuk meningkatkan kinerja dan keberlanjutan operasional pabrik.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze electrical power consumption and cooling system efficiency between the FX-80 Supervisor Controller and a system without a controller in the field. Measurements are carried out for one year by taking data on electrical power consumption and Coefficient of Performance (COP) every month. The research results show that the system with the FX-80 Supervisor Controller consumes lower electrical power and has a higher COP than the system without the controller.  The higher efficiency of systems with controllers represents significant energy savings potential for companies. This research recommends the use of controllers in cooling systems to increase energy efficiency.

Abstract

Jetson Nano, a Single-Board Computer or SBC developed by NVIDIA, is used to implement a face recognition system that requires large computing resources. This research aims to analyze the resource usage on the Jetson Nano during the running of the face recognition system, including CPU usage, GPU, memory, and power consumption. Monitoring data was obtained using Jtop software to record real-time resource usage and a wattmeter for electrical power consumption. The results showed that the Jetson Nano CPU performed consistently with an average utilization of 77.14%, reflecting an even distribution of workload. The GPU showed an average utilization of 44.05% with higher fluctuations, indicating variations in graphics workload intensity. Memory was used close to the maximum capacity of 4 GB, with an average utilization of 3.75 GB, indicating efficient memory management. Average power consumption was recorded at 8.56 Wh, confirming the energy efficiency of this device. This study concludes that the Jetson Nano is capable of running the facial recognition system stably and efficiently, although there is room for further optimization on GPU load distribution and memory management. With its high power efficiency, the Jetson Nano is an ideal solution for artificial intelligence-based applications with low power requirements.
