Abstract

Currently, teachers face many challenges in teaching. This is due to the times, which causes a teacher to need to innovate in teaching methods. Learning to use technology is one of the steps that can be used by teachers in this era to be able to face these challenges, especially English teachers. This research will then be carried out using descriptive qualitative research. The data used in this study comes from the results of previous research and studies that still have relevance to the research content. The results of this study then found that learning English using multimedia technology can increase students’ motivation and interest in learning. Of course, this must be done by providing open access to teaching materials and information. In the future, multimedia technology will become more common as a learning aid. Even though there are still limitations in using technology in learning, with proper computer knowledge on the part of the teacher, learning using this technology can be carried out correctly.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the results of the application of contextual learning in improving the learning outcomes of seventh grade Buddhist students of SMP Negeri 1 Mandiraja. The formulation of the problem in this study is how to improve learning outcomes after applying the contextual learning model to Buddhist students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Mandiraja. This research is an experimental type of research with the type of One Shoot Case Study. The research was conducted by means of observation, action (treatment), and results. The subjects of this study were Buddhist students in class VII, which consisted of 2 students and 1 student. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, documentation, and tests. The data analysis technique used qualitative techniques (in the form of observation notes, and documentation) and quantitative techniques. The results of this study indicate that the learning outcomes of Buddhist students have increased after the application of the contextual learning model, the results before the action of the overall learning outcomes of the three students averaged a score of 75, while after the overall action the students achieved an average score of 83.33. The conclusion of this research is the contextual learning model can improve the learning outcomes of seventh grade Buddhist students at SMP Negeri 1 Mandiraja, this is evidenced by the increase in learning outcomes after the action.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada materi pancadharma serta mendeskripsikan kelebihan dan kekurangan model inkuiri terbimbing di SMP Negeri 1 Keling. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan di SMP Negeri I Keling, Kabupaten Jepara. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan obsevasi, tes, dan wawancara. Pelaksanaan penelitian dilakukan pada siswa kelas VII beragama Buddha dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak lima siswa, Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model inkuiri terbimbing sangat membantu guru dalam menyampaiakan materi juga mempermudah siswa dalam memahami materi yang disampaikan. Maka dapat diketahui: 1) Penggunaan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa, pada siklus I presentase keberhasilan yaitu 60% dan pada siklus II presentase keberhasilan tercapai dengan baik yakni 100%. 2) Kelebihan model pembelajaran ini dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa dan kelemahannya guru dan siswa membutuhkan waktu yang lebih lama dalam pembelajaran.
