Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan Lembar Kegiatan Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis Strategi Integrating Scaffolding Form In Biology Learning (ISFBL) pada materi sistem ekskresi manusia terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan quasi experimental, dengan desain penelitian Pretest-Posttest Control Group design. Sasaran penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI MIPA 2 dan XI MIPA 3 SMAN 1 Kendal Kabupaten Ngawi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan menggunakan teknik tes bentuk uraian. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu lembar tes menggunakan indikator berpikir kritis Ennis (2011). Data dianalisis menggunakan uji mann whitney dan uji N-Gain. Hasil analisis diketahui ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa yang menggunakan LKPD berbasis ISFBL dengan kelas kontrol. Hasil uji N-Gain berpikir kritis menunjukkan nilai 64,9% pada kategori cukup efektif. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD berbasis ISFBL pada materi sistem eksresi manusia dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis .

Abstract

The increasing pollution of rivers due to domestic activities and urbanization highlights the importance of biology-based water quality monitoring. This study aims to assess the water quality of the Genteng River (Kalimas) in Surabaya using the biotilik method with macroinvertebrates as bioindicators. The research was conducted descriptively with a mixed quantitative and qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, sampling, and identification of macroinvertebrates based on the Biotilik guidelines. The identification results showed that the species composition was dominated by organisms tolerant to pollution. The average biotilik score of 1.5 classified the water quality in the Heavily Polluted category. These findings reflect a severely degraded river ecosystem. This study holds great potential to be utilized as contextual learning material in project-based Biology education, aiming to enhance studentsÂ’ environmental awareness and critical thinking skills.
