GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN TRANSFORMASIONAL KEPALA PONDOK PESANTREN KAUMAN PADANG PANJANG DALAM MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI SISWA DAN MUTU PESANTREN Fitra Murni AR Guru SMAN 3 Padang Panjang e-mail: fitramurniar@gmail.com ABSTRAK: : Gaya kepemimpinan transformasional merupakan cara efektif pimpinan lembaga pendidikan untuk meningkatkan prestasi siswa dan mutu pendidikan. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk gaya kepemimpinan transformasional kepala Pondok Pesantren Kauman Padang Panjang dalam meningkatkan prestasi siswa dan mutu pesantren. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dalam bentuk studi kasus. Sampel penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah di Pondok Pesantren Kauman Padang Panjang. Instrumen penelitian yaitu wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemimpin pondok pesantren yang transformasional terlihat dari beberapa karakteristik yaitu Idealized Influence, Inspirational Motivation, Intelektual Stimulation, dan Individualized Consideration. Prinsip-prinsip yang harus dimiliki oleh pimpinan pondok pesantren dalam menerapkan gaya kepemimpinan transformasional yaitu simplikasi, motivasi, fasilitasi, inovasi, mobilisasi, siaga dan tekad. Kata Kunci: Gaya Kepemimpinan Transformasional, Pondok Pesantren, Prestasi Siswa, Mutu Pesantren Abstract: Transformational leadership style is an effective way for educational institution leaders to improve student achievement and quality of education. Therefore, this study aims at the transformational leadership style of the head of Pondok Pesantren Kauman Padang Panjang in improving student achievement and the quality of the pesantren. The methodology used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method in the form of a case study. The sample of this research is the principal at the Pondok Pesantren Kauman Padang Panjang. The research instruments are interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that transformational boarding school leaders can be seen from several characteristics, namely Idealized Influence, Inspirational Motivation, Intellectual Stimulation, and Individualized Consideration The principles that must be possessed by Islamic boarding school leaders in implementing a transformational leadership style are simplification, motivation, facilitation, innovation, mobilization, alert and determination. Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of transformational leadership and school culture on the innovative behavior of teachers at Elementary School Cluster 1, Gunung Talang District. This study uses a correlation research type with quantitative methods. The population in this study were 114 teachers at Elementary School Cluster 1, Gunung Talang District. The sampling technique was taken using a simple random sampling technique. The research sample numbered 53 people. Validity and reliability tests were tested with a significance level of 0.1 (10%). The questionnaire used was a closed questionnaire. To analyze the research data, an analysis technique was used by conducting a classical assumption test as a prerequisite test, then conducting simple linear regression, and multiple linear regression. Researchers used SPSS version 25 in data processing. The results showed that there was a significant influence of transformational leadership on teachers' innovative behavior. This was indicated by a sig value <0.1 for the t-test (partial). Furthermore, the second finding proved the influence of school culture on teachers' innovative behavior, also obtained from a sig value <0.1 with the t-test (partial). Then the final finding obtained a significant influence of transformational leadership and school culture on the innovative behavior of teachers at Elementary School Gugus 1, Gunung Talang District, obtained based on a simultaneous test or F test, with a sig value <0.1. The implication of this study is that school principals need to adopt a charismatic leadership approach, inspirational motivation, intellectual simulation, individual consideration and care for individual teacher needs. This will create higher motivation for teachers to behave innovatively in teaching which will improve the quality of education.
