Abstract

Pandemic Covid-19 in 2022 will continue and of course bring changes to the habits of human life in the world, especially in Indonesia, these changes bring new habits to human activities that make them study, work and worship from home, this certainly brings changes to the learning system that implemented in every educational institution that brings changes to the learning system, namely the Distance System. In 2021 the Malahayati Merchant Marine Polytechnic will develop a new distance learning technology called the Smart Campus. The development can provide convenience for various parties, namely students, educators, and education staff responsible for the implementation of the distance learning system at the Malahayati Merchant Marine Polytechnic. The purpose of this study was to examine in terms of the effectiveness of using a smart campus as a technology in the implementation of distance learning, it certainly wanted to observe the relation to the learning achievement of students and the activeness of lecturers in implementing distance learning using a smart campus. This research method uses This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The data collection methods that will be used in the study are interviews, questionnaires, observation, and documentation. To test the hypothesis, a multiple regression measuring instrument (multiple regression) will be used where the amount of Y (learning achievement) quantitatively will be known from each variable X. The results of this study show that based on the results of the study, the calculated > Ftable > 2,311] at the significance level 50,725 = 5%, it states that simultaneously (together) the smart campus application variable affects the learning achievement of participants studied at the Malahayati Merchant Marine Polytechnic.

Abstract

Terrestial Navigation is a harmonious union between science and art that teaches us how to sail a ship from one place to another safely, quickly, efficiently, and economically and safely to the destination. Passage Planning is the planning of ship voyages from one place to another safely, quickly and economically, and safely to the destination. Shipping from one port to another must be coordinated by all crew members. Politeknik Pelayaran Malahayati, which is a Technical Implementation Unit under the Ministry of Transportation, the Transportation HR Development Agency, which has the task of implementing Vocational Education, research, and Community Service in the field of Shipping, has organized a Diploma III Nautical Studies, Ship Engineering Studies, and Ship Electrical System Studies. This study aims to evaluate the influence of understanding Passage Planning Terrestial Navigation on the competence of cadets when doing Sea Project on board. The research method used is quantitative research with a sampling technique using purposive sampling on cadets at Voyage schools. Data was collected through questionnaires and regression analysis was used to test the hypothesis. The results of the study show that the understanding of Passage Planning in Terrestial Navigation has a significant effect on the competence of cadets when carrying out maritime practices on board. Therefore, it is suggested for Voyage schools improve the learning of Terrestial Navigation Passage Planning to increase the competence of cadets in carrying out maritime practices on board. The results of the study simultaneously obtained the value of Fcount > Ftable [29.008 > 2.513] at the significance levelāˆ = 5%, this states that simultaneously the variables Catalog & Nautical Chart (x1), Plotting Position (x2), Distance and Course Voyage Determination (x3), Voyage Planning Tabulation (x4), affect competence cadets during Sea Project on board at Politeknik Pelayaran Malahayati.

Abstract

It is undeniable that one of the main causes of the globalization era, which is coming faster than all parties expected, is the rapid development of information technology. The implementation of the internet, electronic commerce, electronic data interchange, virtual office, telemedicine, intranet, and so on has broken through the physical boundaries between countries. The combination of computer technology with telecommunications has produced a revolution in the field of information systems. Data or information that in ancient times had to take days to be processed before being sent to the other side of the world, can now be done in seconds. It is no exaggeration if an IBM expert draws an analogy with automotive developments as follows: "If only the automotive world had progressed as fast as information technology, at this time a car with diesel fuel could be produced, which could be driven up to a maximum speed of 10,000 km/hour, with a purchase price of only about 1 American dollar. On a micro level, there are pretty interesting things to study, namely how the evolution of existing information technology developments significantly influences competition between companies in the world, especially those engaged in the service sector. Broadly speaking, there are four periods or eras of information system development, starting from the discovery of the first computer to the present.

Abstract

AI adalah Kecerdasan Buatan, seperti kepanjangan AI yaitu Artificial Intelligence, AI merupakan teknologi yang dirancang untuk membuat sistem komputer mampu meniru kemampuan intelektual manusia. Fokus masalah dalam penelitian ini implementasi ai dalam meningkatkan kelulusan matakuliah peraturan pencegahan tubrukan di laut (P2TL) dalam ujian keahlian pelaut di Politeknik Pelayaran Malahayati. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui implementasi ai dalam meningkatkan kelulusan matakuliah peraturan pencegahan tubrukan di laut (P2TL) dalam ujian keahlian pelaut di Politeknik Pelayaran Malahayati. Pendekatan yang dipakai dalam penelitian analisis data ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif, sedangkan dalam penarikan kesimpulan menerapkan metode logika deduktif. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa selama ada aplikasi AI banyak yang mengalami peningkatan dalam kelulusan ujian keahlian pelaut terutama matakuliah Peraturan Pencegahan Tubrukan di Laut (P2TL) . Dan dengan adanya teknologi AI mahasiswa dengan mudah mencari materi dari AI untuk di diskusikan dengan sesama mahasiswa di Politeknik Pelayaran Malahayati. Dan mahasiswa juga sering melaksanakan belajar mandiri dengan menggunakan aplikasi AI. Adapun dampak positif dari AI diantaranya adalah Pendidik dan peserta didik bisa menggunakan teknologi ini untuk menerjemahkan bahan pembelajaran dari bahasa asing. Misalnya menerjemahkan aturan-aturan yang ada di STCW yang mendukung proses belajar mengajar di kelas sehingga memudahkan dalam menjawab soal ujian keahlian pelaut. Dan Ai juga sering diguna untuk melatih soal UKP terutama tentang P2TL. Adapun negatifnya ada beberapa mahasiswa yang malas berfikir karena ketergantungan dengan AI maka penggunaan AI di politeknik pelayaran mahayati masih perlu pengawasan yang ketat sehingga mahasiswa tidak membawa AI ke jalan yang tidak benar dan berdampak kepada kurangnya kritis dalam suatu persoalan karena ketergantungan terhadap AI.
