Abstract

The research aims to analyze and discuss hypotheses regarding reading interest and word acquisition for the ability to speak English. The research hypothesis: Regarding interest in reading and mastery of shared words for English speaking skills. Related to interest in speaking in English, related mastering vocabulary words in English speaking skills grade. The research method used was a survey method with multiple regression analysis.  The population of this research are students SMK Kec Baso Sumatera Barat Grade X. The results consider the fact that shows a significant interest in reading and vocabulary mastery in English speaking ability. This research summary is a positive publication of Interest in Reading and Vocabulary Mastery on the Capabilities of students.

Abstract

Noun clauses are a component that needs to be learned in English. According to the 2004 curriculum or the Competency Based Curriculum (KBK) in English subjects, noun clauses are taught to University students in Semester IV, so this research was conducted to look at the difficulties of students in Semester IV using noun clause in reading and combining two sentences into one sentence. The form of this research is a study that describes a phenomenon that actually occurred in the field with a population of 60 students in Akademi Pariwisata Jakarta. So population taking, the authors use cluster random sampling to get valid and reliable tests, the authors carry out try out in classy classes. To try out the writer took data in Semester IV. The form of this research instrument is a written test. The test is in the form of multiple choice (multiple choice) consisting of 40 questions. These questions have been tested before, and then the questions were made into test questions for data collection after collecting data and deceiving data, the writer gets a percentage of students' ability scores in using Noun Clause 57.5% while students have difficulty using noun clause 42%, then students have difficulty using Noun Clause in learning English. Each category where the use of noun clauses. Which students get 41.48 who 42.14, whom 32.22, that 45.24, where 63.33 what 40.00 when 38.89 whose 41.67. Then the percentage of each category is generally greater than 40%, so the conclusion is that the Students of semester IV of Akademi Pariwisata Jakarta find the difficulty to use noun clauses caused by lack of facilities, vocabularies and motivation in studying English.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are improving the students speaking motivation at Tourism Academy Jakarta, the application of YouTube video role play for improving students’ speaking motivation at Tourism Academy Jakarta also the research question is the students’ perceptions of the use of You Tube and Role Play. The action research is condected in one class with 15 students at semester one. This researcher was conducted on 7 March November 2017 until September, 14th, 2018 located in Akademi Pariwsata Jakarta. The researcher used several instrument to collect the data. The other data were obtained from observation, speaking test, interview and questioner The interview was done to 15 students of semester one of Tourism Academy Jakarta and an English teacher ( male and female). The method of this research was planning, acting, observation, reflection in three cycles.The first finding of the first objective was the progress of students’ speaking score and motivation questioner data had increased in each cycles. The students’ interview had a positive result. The second finding of teaching and learning by using You Tube and role play had been successfully increasing the students’ motivation and confidence in speaking. The results of this research shown that the use of Role Playing technique was successful to improve the students’ speaking ability. They found that this teaching can improve speaking’s motivation and skill effectively

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Kepemimpinan merupakan pola hubungan antara individu-individu yang menggunakan wewenang dan pengaruhnya terhadap kelompok orang agar bekerja bersama demi tercapainya tujuan organisasi. Kepala ruangan adalah manajer tingkat pemula yang fokus utama kegiatannya berada di unit kerja, kepala ruangan harus mampu memberitahu, menjelaskan, bekerja sama dan memonitor perilaku perawat sesuai dengan situasi yang ada untuk dapat meningkatkan motivasi kerja perawat sehingga dapat melaksanakan tugasnya dengan baik dan dapat mencapai tujuan sesuai dengan yang telah disepakati bersama. Rumah Sakit merupakan organisasi dimana mempunyai nilai-nilai budaya diantaranya kebersamaan, kejujuran, integritas, tanggung jawab, melayani, fokus pada mutu dan keselamatan pasien. Tujuan Penelitian: Meneliti hubungan gaya kepemimpinan dan budaya Rumah Sakit terhadap motivasi kerja perawat di RS YPK Mandiri tahun 2022. Metode Penelitian: Menggunakan metode kuantitatif korelasi yaitu hubungan sebab akibat atau hubungan timbal balik antara dua atau lebih variabel. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh perawat yang bekerja di RS YPK Mandiri pada bulan November tahun 2022, yang berjumlah 66 orang perawat. Hasil Penelitian: Gaya kepemimpinan dengan motivasi kerja nilai signifikannya 0,010 < 0,05, sedangkan pada budaya Rumah Sakit dengan motivasi kerja perawat nilai signifikasinya 0,000 < 0,05.Kesimpulan dan Saran: Terdapat hubungan antara gaya kepemimpinan dan budaya Rumah Sakit terhadap motivasi kerja perawat.

Abstract

Emphasizing vocabulary teaching is a very efficient approach to improve students' English comprehension. Vocabulary is the foundation for constructing meaningful and grammatically accurate sentences, emphasizing vocabulary teaching is a very efficient approach to improve students' English comprehension. Students sometimes struggle to comprehend reading materials, express their thoughts, and participate in classroom debates without a strong language foundation. Therefore, vocabulary teaching should be relevant, interesting, and tailored to students' needs and should not be limited to rote learning of word lists. A studyWCA Training Cruise Jakarta Schoollooked at how teachers approach language teaching and how different approaches affect students. The study found that lack of vocabulary is a significant barrier to student learning through interviews, surveys, and document analysis. The teachers used several techniques—including games, translation, media, pantomime, and physical activity—to make learning more engaging and efficient in response. Abstract

This study aims to identify effective strategies for teaching English to young learners at SDN 02 Sukamulya Cikarang Utara. Focusing on student engagement and language acquisition, it explores interactive and multimodal methods suited to primary school settings in Indonesia. Using qualitative methods—document analysis, interviews with English teachers, and classroom observations—the study highlights key strategies that enhance learning. These include the use of visual aids (e.g., flashcards, posters), game-based activities (e.g., “Simon Says”), and song-based exercises (e.g., “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes”). Storytelling with repetitive sentence structures helps reinforce vocabulary and grammar, while code-switching between English and Bahasa Indonesia improves comprehension and reduces anxiety. The findings emphasize the importance of teacher creativity, adaptability, and varied materials in building a fun and effective learning environment. These insights offer valuable guidance for educators aiming to improve English instruction in similar primary education contexts
