Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe the level of work readiness of the students of the Aceh Barat Community College based on the influence of locus of control and student motivation. The instrument used was a questionnaire with four answer choices distributed to 56 students as the sample of this study. The questionnaire in this study was assessed by an expert to eliminate invalid statement items. Data processing was analyzed to measure the effect of each indicator of each variable such as locus of control variables (internal locus of control and external locus of control) and motivational variables (urges, motives, needs, and wishes) on job readiness variables using correlational statistics with significance α = 0.05 partially or simultaneously and the coefficient of determination to see the magnitude of the influence formed. The results of the correlation test of the locus of the control variable (X1) on work readiness (Y) obtained an RSquare value of 0.592 with a determination of 83.09% and the correlation of the motivation variable (X2) on work readiness (Y) obtained an RSquare value of 0.580 with a determination of 82.91 % the conclusion that can be drawn is that there is a partial relationship between locus of control and motivation on student work readiness. Multiple correlations and determination tests were carried out to see the magnitude of the direction of the relationship simultaneously (X1) and (X2) to (Y) the RSquare value was 0.621 and the coefficient of determination was 38.6%. The data processing results revealed that each dimension of locus of control and motivation simultaneously increased the work readiness of West Aceh Community College students to be ready to enter the business and industrial world.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjabarkan tingkat kesiapan kerja mahasiswa Akademi Komunitas Negeri Aceh Barat berdasarkan pengaruh dari locus of control dan motivasi mahasiswa. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa kuesioner tertutup dengan empat pilihan jawaban yang disebar kepada 56 mahasiswa sebagai sampel penelitian ini. Kuesioner dalam penelitian ini telah melalui expert judgement untuk mengeliminasi butir pernyataan yang tidak valid. Pengolahan data dianalisis untuk mengukur pengaruh setiap indikator dari masing-masing variabel seperti variabel locus of control (internal locus of control dan external locus of control) serta variabel motivasi (desakan, motif, kebutuhan  dan  keinginan) terhadap variabel kesiapan kerja menggunakan statistik korelasional dengan signifikansi α = 0,05 secara parsial maupun simultan serta koefisien determinasi untuk melihat besaran pengaruh yang terbentuk. Hasil pengujian korelasi variabel locus of control (X1) terhadap kesiapan kerja (Y) didapat nilai RSquare sebesar 0,592 dengan determinasi 83,09% dan korelasi variabel motivasi (X2) terhadap kesiapan kerja (Y) didapat nilai RSquare sebesar 0,580 dengan determinasi 82,91% kesimpulan yang dapat diambil bahwa terdapat hubungan antara secara parsial antara locus of control dan motivasi terhadap kesiapan kerja mahasiswa. Pengujian korelasi dan determinasi secara berganda dilakukan untuk melihat besaran arah hubungan secara simultan (X1) dan (X2) terhadap (Y) didapat nilai RSquare sebesar 0,621 dan koefisien determinasi sebesar 38,6%. Hasil pengeolaha data tersebut mengungkapkan bahwa setiap dimensi dari locus of control dan motivasi secara simultan mampu meningkatkan kesiapa kerja mahasiswa AKN Aceh Barat untuk siap memasuki dunia usaha dan dunia industri.

Abstract

Abstract Collaborative learning is an important approach in improving the quality of vocational higher education in the era of globalization. This study aims to analyze the role of collaborative learning in improving student achievement at the Aceh Barat State Community Academy. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this research involved in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies with student and lecturer participants from three D-II study programs. The results showed effective implementation of Project-Based Learning, Problem-Based Learning, and Team-Based Learning models in different study programs. Collaborative learning is proven to improve academic achievement with an increase in average GPA by 0.35 points and an increase in practical skills by 22%. In addition, there were significant improvements in soft skills: communication (28%), teamwork (35%), and problem solving (31%). The main supporting factors include institutional policy support and lecturer readiness, while the main challenges include time constraints and the diversity of student backgrounds. This study concludes that collaborative learning plays an important role in improving the quality of Community Academy graduates, but requires implementation strategies tailored to the context of vocational education. Keywords:Collaborative Learning; Vocational Education; Student AchievementAbstrakPembelajaran kolaboratif menjadi pendekatan penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan tinggi vokasi di era globalisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran pembelajaran kolaboratif dalam meningkatkan prestasi mahasiswa di Akademi Komunitas Negeri Aceh Barat. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini melibatkan wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi dengan partisipan mahasiswa dan dosen dari tiga program studi D-II. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penerapan efektif model Project-Based Learning, Problem-Based Learning, dan Team-Based Learning pada program studi yang berbeda. Pembelajaran kolaboratif terbukti meningkatkan prestasi akademik dengan kenaikan IPK rata-rata sebesar 0,35 poin dan peningkatan keterampilan praktis sebesar 22%. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan signifikan dalam soft skills: komunikasi (28%), kerja tim (35%), dan pemecahan masalah (31%). Faktor pendukung utama meliputi dukungan kebijakan institusi dan kesiapan dosen, sementara tantangan utama mencakup keterbatasan waktu dan keragaman latar belakang mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran kolaboratif berperan penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas lulusan Akademi Komunitas, namun memerlukan strategi implementasi yang disesuaikan dengan konteks pendidikan vokasi.

Abstract

     Abstract[1] Vocational higher education in Indonesia bears a strategic responsibility to produce graduates with technical competence and integrity. This research aims to develop an experiential learning model in citizenship education to strengthen anti-corruption character among students at the State Community Academy of West Aceh and to analyze its implementation challenges. A qualitative approach with case study design was applied through triangulation of data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, participatory observation, documentation study, and focused group discussions with one lecturer, twenty students, and three stakeholders. The findings reveal that the learning model integrating four theoretical frameworks (experiential learning, moral character education, situational learning, and local wisdom) effectively strengthened students' anti-corruption character. The model was implemented through three systematic phases (awareness, internalization, application) which resulted in transformation across four character dimensions: cognitive, affective, behavioral, and spiritual-cultural. The integration of Acehnese local wisdom values (trustworthiness, justice, honesty, purity, patience) provided cultural resonance that strengthened the internalization of anti-corruption values. Implementation challenges encompassed structural-institutional, pedagogical, and contextual aspects which were addressed through lecturer competency development strategies, learning time optimization, and contextualization of simulations according to study programs.Keywords:[2] experiential learning; local wisdom; anti-corruption education; vocational education; experience-based learning  Abstrak[3] .Pendidikan tinggi vokasi di Indonesia memiliki tanggung jawab strategis dalam menghasilkan lulusan dengan kompetensi teknis dan karakter berintegritas. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan model pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman dalam pendidikan kewarganegaraan untuk memperkuat karakter anti-korupsi mahasiswa di Akademi Komunitas Negeri Aceh Barat serta menganalisis tantangan implementasinya. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus diterapkan melalui triangulasi teknik pengumpulan data yang meliputi wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, studi dokumentasi, dan diskusi kelompok terfokus terhadap satu dosen pengampu, dua puluh mahasiswa, dan tiga pemangku kepentingan. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa model pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan empat kerangka teoretis (experiential learning, pendidikan karakter moral, pembelajaran situasional, dan kearifan lokal) terbukti efektif memperkuat karakter anti-korupsi mahasiswa. Implementasi model dilakukan melalui tiga fase sistematis (penyadaran, penghayatan, penerapan) yang menghasilkan transformasi pada empat dimensi karakter: kognitif, afektif, behavioral, dan spiritual-kultural. Integrasi nilai-nilai kearifan lokal Aceh (amanah, adil, jujur, bersih, sabara) memberikan resonansi kultural yang memperkuat internalisasi nilai anti-korupsi.
