Abstract

Background. Children is a play period. A healthy child spends most time for active playing and gets more satisfaction than a sick. A sick child looses her play time, friends, and comfortable environment. He has to move to hospital that seems strange for him. That strangeness causes bad experience that influences for his social attitude in the future. Playing gives a chance for kids to express their feelings as long as they are sick. It also supports their growth normally. Objective. This aim research is for knowing the influence of playing to children social ability when they have a treatment before and after being done a playing activity. Method. This research is included in kuantitatif analytical research by one group design, pre and post test design. This research is done from December 2005 until Februari 2006. Samples are taken using accidental sampling technique. The subject is children in 2-6 years old who are opnamed in surgeon room at Dr. Sardjito Hospital. The number of subject is 23 childrens. Abstract

Background: Central Java is a province that often experiences floods and Surakarta is the city with the second highest flooding after Semarang. Floods that occur will cause several impacts, one of which is psychological impacts. Psychological impacts in the form of anxiety, stress and clinical depression and mental health problems will interfere with daily activities. Objective: to determine the Effect of Five Finger Hypnosis on Psychological Symptoms of Post-Flood Society. Methods: this study was conducted in the Sangkrah area with 45 respondents according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. The research instrument used was DASS-21 and analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. Results: the significance value of psychological stress disorders (P-Value) = 0.000 <0.05; the significance value of psychological anxiety disorders (P-Value) = 0.001 <0.05; and the significance value of psychological anxiety disorders (P-Value) = 0.003 <0.05. There is an effect of five-finger hypnosis therapy on post-flood psychological disorders in the Sangkrah area, Surakarta before and after being given five-finger hypnosis therapy. Conclusion: five finger hypnosis therapy can be used to reduce psychological disorders

Abstract

Quality of nursing worklife merupakan aspek penting dalam mempengaruhi pelayanan keperawatan, sehingga perbaikan kualitas kehidupan perawat penting dalam meningkatkan kinerja pelayanan perawatan. Aspek perbaikan kualitas kehidupan kerja perawat dapat dilakukan dengan memberikan reward bagi perawat yang memiliki kinerja lebih baik. Kualitas kehidupan kerja perawat dapat meningkatkan kinerja pelayanan. Kualitas kehidupan kerja perawat (Quality of Nursing Work Life) adalah sebuah konsep yang menggambarkan persepsi perawat terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan melalui pengalaman kerja dalam organisasi, sehingga tujuan dari kualitas kehidupan kerja dapat selaras dengan fungsi manajemen untuk mengelola SDM yang unggul dan memiliki produktivitas kerja yang maksimal serta karyawan tersebut mendapat kepuasaan pribadi atas pemenuhan kebutuhannya (Brooks & Anderson, 2005). Oleh karena itu, peningkatan pemahaman perawat tentang quality of nursing worklife menjadi salah satu tahapan dalam menerapkan konsep QNWL dan selanjutnya bisa berdampak pada peningkatan kinerja perawat. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep quality of nursing worklife pada perawat di RSUD Simo Boyolali. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di RSUD Simo pada bulan Juli 2024 dan dilakukan monitoring lanjutan di bulan Agustus 2024. Pengabdian diberikan dalam bentuk sosialisasi berupa materi tentang Quality of Nursing Worklife atau Kualitas Kehidupan Kerja Perawat (K3P), dengan peserta adalah perawat sebanyak 21 perawat. Setelah dilaksanakan sosialisasi tersebut diketahui perawat memiliki pemahaman yang baik tentang konsep Quality of Nursing Worklife dan selanjutnya bisa diterapkan dalam meningkatkan kinerja perawat.

Abstract

Imobilitas atau tirah baring dalam waktu yang lama dapat menyebabkan dampak negatif terhadap fisik yaitu kerusakan integritas kulit atau biasa disebut dekubitus atau luka tekan. Salah satu tindakan yang dapat dilakukan untuk mencegah terjadinya luka tekan yaitu melakukan alih posisi atau mobilisasi dan juga dengan melakukan perawatan kulit melalui massage menggunakan berbagai metode atau bahan seperti massage effleurage Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO). Mengetahui penerapan mobilisasi dan massage terhadap pencegahan risiko luka tekan pada pasien tirah baring di Ruang ICU RSUD Karanganyar. Penerapan dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif studi kasus kepada 2 responden yang mengalami tirah baring di ICU beriko mengalami luka tekan selama 3 hari berturut-turut. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur risiko luka tekan adalah skala Braden. Hasil penerapan yang sudah dilakukan, terdapat penurunan risiko luka tekan pada pasien tirah baring di ICU sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan mobilisasi dan massage dengan selisih 2 : 1. Terdapat penurunan risiko luka tekan sesudah dilakukan penerapan mobilisasi dan massage terhadap pasien tirah baring di ICU.

Abstract

Introduction: Hypertension is one of the non-communicable diseases that contribute greatly to morbidity and mortality rates in the world, including in Indonesia. The management of hypertension is not only limited to pharmacological therapy, but also involves non-pharmacological interventions such as Slow Stroke Back Massage (SSBM) therapy, which has been proven effective in lowering blood pressure. Objective: Knowing the results of the application of Slow Stroke Back Massage intervention in reducing blood pressure in patients with hypertension at RSUD Kartini Karanganyar. Methods : This study used a descriptive approach with a case study design. The Slow Stroke Back Massage intervention was carried out on hypertensive patients who were treated in Cempaka Room 3. Blood pressure was measure before and after the intervention to determine the effectiveness of therapy. Results : The application results showed a significant decrease in systolic and diastolic blood pressure after the Slow Stroke Back Massage intervention. This therapy provides a relaxing effect that helps vasodilate blood vessels so that blood pressure decreases. Conclusions: Slow Stroke Back Massage is an effective non-pharmacological nursing intervention and can be used as a complementary therapy to reduce blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Abstract

Background: Guided imagery therapy is a technique that uses an individual's imagination with the specific aim of achieving control and relaxation. Relaxation can have a direct effect on bodily functions. The effects of relaxation include reducing muscle tension, improving concentration, lowering respiratory rate and pulse, as well as decreasing blood pressure. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of Guided Imagery therapy in reducing blood pressure among hypertensive patients at Kartini General Hospital Karanganyar. Methods: This study employed a descriptive case study approach, involving two hypertensive patients at Kartini General Hospital Karanganyar who had high blood pressure. The therapy was administered once daily for 20 minutes over a period of one day. Results: After undergoing Guided Imagery therapy for one day (one session of 20 minutes conducted in the afternoon), both respondents showed a reduction in blood pressure. Conclusion: Guided Imagery therapy has proven effective in helping to lower blood pressure among hypertensive patients and can be recommended as a management strategy for reducing blood pressure in hospital settings and the broader community.
