Abstract

One of the regencies in the province of Riau is Kampar. Pasar Kuok is one of the well-known markets in Kampar Regency, a Regency that continues to employ traditional markets as shopping destinations for the neighborhood. Traffic congestion is a common occurrence in Pasar Kuok, especially on market days like Tuesdays. Therefore, a research on parking management is required to ensure that the demand for parking spots can be met. In order to solve issues that exist in the Pasar Kuok area, this study intends to determine the availability of existing parking lots, identify the effects of parking activities, and and obtain scenarios as an alternative to solving problems. Data from the (a) Parking Patrol, (b) parking volume, and (c) parking inventory must all be collected. Based on the survey, there are two types of parking available at Pasar Kuok: on-street parking (using the road) and off-street parking (not using the road). After analyzing the data regarding the existing parking conditions as well as the problem solving recommendations, the results obtained from the analysis that have been carried out, given three scenarios for parking repairs, in order to be an alternative to solve existing problems. The first alternative is to change the width of the parking space unit capacity (SRP) for motorcycles. The second alternative is to change the location of the parking lot on the car street into a motorbike parking lot. The third alternative is to move the motorbike parking lot on Jalan Pulau Balai to the on-street motorcycle parking area located on Jalan Lintas Pekanbaru – West Sumatra A.

Abstract

Peat water contains low pH and acid caused corrosive on cementation structure as stabilized soil based alkali activated POFA. The soil samples mixed with different percentages of POFA (5%, 10%, and 15%) and alkali activator solution (sodium silica; Na2SiO3) and sodium hydroxide, NaOH) were immersed in peat water for various durations (0, 7, 14, and 28 days). The test results for the physical properties of the soil showed that the addition of POFA decreased the plasticity index and increased the optimum moisture content (OMC) while reducing the dry density (MDD) of the soil mixture. Furthermore, the unconfined compressive strength test indicated that the soil's strength increased at a 5% and 10% POFA content after 7 days of immersion, with strengths of 760 kPa and 1312 kPa, respectively. However, the strength significantly decreased by over 50% after 28 days of immersion, reached 365 kPa and 372 kPa for the respective POFA contents. A slight increase in soil strength was observed with the addition of 15% POFA content during the immersion period. Although the strength obtained after 28 days was almost the same for all mixtures at 356 kPa, higher levels of aluminosilicate synthesis as 15% POFA can enhance the bonding strength between soil particles, making the test specimen more resistant to acid attack.

Abstract

Modern soil stabilization has included environmentally friendly materials in the mixture design. Adding an alkali activator provides an alternative to the innovation of the binder agent for soil stabilization. This study aims to know the effect of adding the alkali activator soluble for soil-POFA mixture on changes in the soil strength characteristic through an unconfined compression test (UCT). The alkali activators are sodium silica (Na2SiO3) and Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH). They prepare with a ratio Si/Al: 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, and NaOH concentrated at 10M. Compressive strength to the soil-POFA mixture obtained slightly increased strength, and the soil is clayey sand poorly graded. However, adding the alkali activator increases the soil strength significantly. Thus, the soil-POFA with the alkali activators gained the maximum compressive strength on a ratio of 2.5, and it all has the characteristic of rapid hardening in the initial period as a binder agent.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan utama untuk menilai pemahaman siswa SMK N 2 Pekanbaru mengenai Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) di sektor konstruksi. Urgensi dari kegiatan ini didasari oleh tingginya angka kecelakaan kerja di sektor konstruksi, serta minimnya pemahaman dan keterampilan dasar siswa SMK sebagai calon tenaga kerja terhadap prinsip-prinsip K3, khususnya dalam penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) dan Alat Pemadam Api Ringan (APAR). Penilaian program dilakukan melalui metode pre-test dan post-test, yang bertujuan untuk mengukur tingkat pengetahuan siswa sebelum dan sesudah mengikuti sesi edukasi singkat. Hasil dari evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman siswa, di mana rata-rata skor pre-test yang awalnya 20,8% meningkat menjadi 74,6% pada post-test setelah pelaksanaan edukasi. Instrumen evaluasi yang digunakan dalam program ini telah divalidasi melalui uji korelasi dengan nilai korelasi sebesar 0,78, yang menunjukkan bahwa instrumen tersebut memiliki reliabilitas yang baik dan dapat diandalkan untuk mengukur pengetahuan siswa. Selain itu, evaluasi terhadap kepuasan peserta juga dilakukan, dengan hasil yang menunjukkan bahwa 85% peserta merasa sangat puas dengan keseluruhan program, terutama terkait dengan fasilitas yang disediakan dan kemampuan narasumber dalam menyampaikan materi. Diharapkan program serupa dapat dilaksanakan secara berkelanjutan.
