Abstract

This research is to know the effect of interaction and the best combination of giving trichokompos and NPK on growth and yield of cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.). This research used polybag with factorial randomized block design (RAK) of two factors. The first factor was 4 levels of trichokompos dose treatment (T): t1 = 150 gram / polybag, t2 = 300 gram / polybag, t3 = 450 gram / polybag, t4 = 600 gram / polybag, and the second factor is 4 levels dose treatment of NPK (N) n0 = 0 gram / polybag, n1 = 60 gram / polybag, n2 = 120 gram / polybag, n3 = 180 gram / polybag. The result of the research showed trichokompos and NPK giving interaction effect on plant height 14 hst, while at plant height 21, 28, 35, and 42 hst, number of branch books, the number of fruit crops, and the weight of fruit crops, interaction of trichokompos fertilizer and NPK has no significant effect. The single treatment of NPK dosage influenced the number of branch book, the number of fruit crops, and the weight of the crops, while the single trichocompos treatment did not affect all observed variables.

Abstract

Spring onion (Allium fistulosum L.) is a commodity that grows optimally on fertile, Loose soil, high organic matter content, and soil pH 6.5 - 7.5. Peat Lands contain very high organic matter, but soil fertility is low and soil conditions are very acidic. soil acidity can be reduced by ameliorant such as dolomite lime. Spring onion production is also influenced by nutrients that can be given through soil or Leaf fertilizer. This study aims to determine the effect of dolomite lime and Leaf fertilizer (gandasil D) on the growth of spring onion and peat soil pH. This research uses factorial completely randomized design. The first factor is dolomite lime and the second factor is Leaf fertilizer  (gandasil D).  The doses of ameliorant were 0 tons.ha-1 (A0), 3 tons.ha-1 (A1), 6 tons.ha-1 (A2). The doses of Leaf fertilizer  0 g.I-1 (B0), 2 g.I-1 (B1), 4 g.I-1 (B2). The results of this study indicate that the interaction of A2B1 treatment (6 tons ha-1 dolomite lime with 2 g.l-1 Leaf fertilizer) can increase plant height and the number of plant tillers in peat Lands. Giving of 6 tons.ha-1 dolomite lime can reduce the acidity of peat soil from pH 4.64 to 6.64 at the age of 30 days after planting, and from pH 4.64 to 6.92 at the age of 40 days after planting. soil acidity can be reduced in peat Lands by giving dolomite lime in stages, namely at the age of 5, 15, 25, and 35 days after planting for spring onion.

Abstract

Kemampuan gambut dalam menyerap air mempunyai arti penting bagi pengelolaan lahan gambut yang sering digambarkan dengan kurva retensi air menurut fungsi potensial air. Penelitian ini dirancang untuk memahami hubungan antara tinggi muka air dengan kadar lengas tanah gambut. Data tinggi muka air tanah (TMA) yang diperoleh melalui pengukuran langsung di lapangan. Data kadar lengas ditetapkan di laboratorium. Data kadar seratnya dianalisis secara kuantitatif dengan bentuk diagram menurut tipe penggunaan lahan dan tingkat kematangan gambutnya. Hasil penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa semakin tinggi muka air gambut semakin jauh dari permukaan tanah diikuti semakin tinggi kadar lengas gambut pada lahan terbuka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil yang kontradiktif dengan penelitian lain. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kadar lengas gambut tidak semata dipengaruhi oleh TMA, karena dapat terkait dengan daya kapilaritas atau ada faktor lain yang mungkin berpengaruh lebih dominan terhadap perubahan kadar lengas gambut

Abstract

One of the prospective places for agricultural usage in acid sulfate rice fields, which are typically spread out in lowland areas along coastlines that occasionally undergo flooding. If handled effectively in accordance with the issues found in the land, this site can be developed as a productive agricultural region. Agricultural development on acid sulfate soils frequently encounters a number of issues, including (pH) acidic soil, high iron content, a lack of phosphate availability, and the presence of pyrite (FeS2). In this study, the relationship between P availability, Fe solubility, the Fe-P fraction, pH, Eh, and pyrite depth in acid sulfate paddy fields will be examined. Purposive sampling was used in field research utilizing the survey method in the acid sulphate rice fields of Barito Kuala Regency. This research was based on the distribution map of Fe solubility in Barito Kuala Regency. The results of this study indicate that there are three variables that have a significant effect on P availability: soluble Fe amd Fe-P fraction with the power regression form and a very strong relationship; and soil pH with a linear regression form and a strong relationship. Pyrite depth and soil Eh had no significant relationship with P availability in acid-sulfate lowland rice fields.

Abstract

An understanding of land suitability or management such as on peat and mineral soils in oil palm plantation areas is also very necessary as a basis for determining technical cultural actions to be taken in order to ensure the sustainability of the productivity of a land. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the chemical properties of peat soils in Margasari Village, Candi Laras Utara District, Tapin Regency and mineral soils in Martadah Baru Village, Tambangulang District, Tanah Laut Regency under the auspices of oil palm plantations. The method used in this study was a quantitative descriptive method. The sampling point was determined by purposive sampling by showing the existing canopy in the field. Soil sampling in the field at a depth of 0-30 cm for each type of soil. This research plan is intended to describe soil pH, organic-C, total-N, and available-P. In general peat soils had quite high C-organic content values ​​compared to mineral soils. Changes in organic C affected the properties of the soil. The organic C content in all research locations was categorized as very low to medium, the soil pH is acidic, the total N content was moderate and the available P content was categorized as very low.

Abstract

Peat soil is a soil that has been decomposed by organic matter. Man-made peatlands have been converted into agricultural land. In addition to being turned into agricultural land, some peatlands are also not used, causing the land to turn into shrubs and causing land to burn because it is not managed by the owner. Peatlands therefore consist of various types of land use. Peat soils in different types of land use have different characteristics. The purpose of the study was to determine the differences in some of the chemical properties of peatlands that have been used for shrubs, open land, and agriculture. To see the differences in soil chemical properties on various land uses, descriptive analysis, and standard deviation are used by presenting bar charts. The soil pH content on agricultural land is higher. The C-organic content in shrubs is higher than in agricultural land. Ash content on agricultural land is higher. Dissolved organic carbon on agricultural land tends to be lower.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan utama untuk menilai pemahaman siswa SMK N 2 Pekanbaru mengenai Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) di sektor konstruksi. Urgensi dari kegiatan ini didasari oleh tingginya angka kecelakaan kerja di sektor konstruksi, serta minimnya pemahaman dan keterampilan dasar siswa SMK sebagai calon tenaga kerja terhadap prinsip-prinsip K3, khususnya dalam penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) dan Alat Pemadam Api Ringan (APAR). Penilaian program dilakukan melalui metode pre-test dan post-test, yang bertujuan untuk mengukur tingkat pengetahuan siswa sebelum dan sesudah mengikuti sesi edukasi singkat. Hasil dari evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman siswa, di mana rata-rata skor pre-test yang awalnya 20,8% meningkat menjadi 74,6% pada post-test setelah pelaksanaan edukasi. Instrumen evaluasi yang digunakan dalam program ini telah divalidasi melalui uji korelasi dengan nilai korelasi sebesar 0,78, yang menunjukkan bahwa instrumen tersebut memiliki reliabilitas yang baik dan dapat diandalkan untuk mengukur pengetahuan siswa. Selain itu, evaluasi terhadap kepuasan peserta juga dilakukan, dengan hasil yang menunjukkan bahwa 85% peserta merasa sangat puas dengan keseluruhan program, terutama terkait dengan fasilitas yang disediakan dan kemampuan narasumber dalam menyampaikan materi. Diharapkan program serupa dapat dilaksanakan secara berkelanjutan.
