Abstract

This study is motivated by the increasing competition among educational institutions, particularly private schools, which requires effective marketing strategy management to maintain institutional existence and enhance competitiveness. MAS Laboratorium Jambi City, as an Islamic educational institution, possesses unique potential through its laboratory- and research-based learning approach; however, it faces challenges in transforming this potential into a competitive and persuasive marketing strategy. This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of educational marketing strategy management and to examine its impact on the institution’s competitiveness. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and related stakeholders. The findings reveal that MAS Laboratorium Jambi City has successfully developed a positive public image through improvements in infrastructure and student achievements, which contributes to increased community interest despite relatively standard educational costs. However, the marketing strategies implemented are still partial and not yet fully integrated, particularly in terms of persuasive communication and consistent utilization of digital platforms. Therefore, strengthening integrated marketing strategies and optimizing digital engagement are essential to enhance the institution’s competitive advantage in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of nyai in the caregiving and character development of students in Islamic boarding schools. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation involving the nyai as the primary caregiver, along with selected students and administrators. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that: (1) the nyai plays a significant role in fostering students’ moral development through role modeling, discipline enforcement, daily supervision, and religious guidance; (2) several challenges emerge, including students’ lack of discipline, diverse backgrounds and personalities, and limited communication between students and caregivers; (3) to address these challenges, the nyai implements continuous guidance, persuasive approaches, improved communication, and strengthened supervision alongside positive habit formation. The study implies that the nyai holds a central role in shaping students’ character, enhancing discipline, and internalizing religious values, highlighting the importance of adaptive caregiving strategies in Islamic educational settings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the leadership management of a madrasah principal in improving teacher performance. A qualitative approach with a descriptive method was employed. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the madrasah principal and teachers as research participants. The data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques, while data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that the principal’s leadership management is implemented through four main managerial functions: planning, organizing, implementation, and supervision. Supporting factors include effective collaboration among school members and strong teacher commitment, whereas inhibiting factors consist of low discipline among some teachers, limited facilities and infrastructure, and insufficient motivation for professional self-development. To address these challenges, the principal applies several strategies, such as strengthening communication, conducting academic supervision and guidance, providing motivation, and involving teachers in decision-making processes. This study implies that effective leadership management plays a crucial role in enhancing teacher performance and can serve as a reference for improving leadership practices in madrasah education.

Abstract

This research is motivated by statistical physics learning in deriving the Fermi-Dirac equation conceptually from lecturers to students or by rote and low creativity of students. This study aims to explore student learning creativity in deriving the Fermi-Dirac equation through the STEAM approach. This study uses a didactic design that includes the stages of prospective analysis, didactic metapedia analysis, and prospective re-analysis, which is applied to the sixth-semester physics tadris student of UIN Sulthan Thahah Saifuddin Jambi. The research instrument used is a description test and a non-test through observation sheets and interviews. The results showed that the implementation of STEAM could increase the creativity of statistical physics with an achievement level of 87% asking questions, 78% learning outcomes, 75% reflection, and 75% analysis on the material of the Fermi-Dirac equation by adhering to student activities starting with phenomena that are easy to digest with the realistic situation during online lectures, which shows that the STEAM approach is quite well used in deriving the Fermi-Dirac equation in the online statistical physics course.

Abstract

This study aims to examine how principal supervision is implemented in an effort to improve teacher competency in Special Needs Junior High Schools, as well as to identify supporting factors, inhibiting factors, and steps taken to overcome various supervision obstacles. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach involving the principal and six teachers as research subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity was strengthened by triangulation techniques. The results showed that principal supervision was implemented in a planned and continuous manner through learning observations, individual supervision, and discussion forums with teachers. The implementation of this supervision contributed positively to improving teacher competency, particularly pedagogical, professional, social, and personality competencies in handling students with special needs. Supporting factors for supervision include the principal's commitment, teacher cooperation, and a conducive school climate, while obstacles faced were limited time, administrative burden, and learning facilities. To overcome these obstacles, the principal provided ongoing coaching and mentoring.
