Abstract

Learning motivation is something that can change the behavior of students for the better with the aim of obtaining maximum learning outcomes. Motivation is needed in ongoing learning activities, because motivation acts as a driving force in oneself that supports learning activities. Learning motivation can be said as an encouragement that makes a person take certain actions in order to achieve a goal, either internally or externally in the hope of obtaining complete learning outcomes which learning outcomes obtained above the KKM. However, there are still students who have low learning motivation. The arrangement of the "U" model class design is that all students can face to face and interact directly with the teacher, so that they will be more focused when learning takes place. The type of research that the author uses is a qualitative approach using descriptive analysis through field research which aims to describe how the influence of the U model class design on the motivation to learn mathematics on the material of square area. The technique in this research uses data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation, while the data analysis in this study is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that the influence of the U model class design is very influential on the learning motivation of students. This can be seen in the activities of students, which in this study some have been able to follow well. The teacher's activities at the time of the study were still unable to condition students in an orderly and uncluttered manner, but the teacher was able to apply the U model class design in learning. The difficulties experienced by students generally forget the material or do not understand and there are still students who find it difficult to focus when learning takes place.

Abstract

The background to this PTK problem is that students have not been able to master the concept of multiplication material. So there is a need for learning media as a student learning resource that is able to help students' understanding process regarding multiplication of numbers in mathematics with the help of linguistic learning media. This classroom action research aims to improve multiplication counting skills in class 3 of UPT SDN 98 Gresik. The research used was Classroom Action Research (PTK) which was designed in 2 cycles with 4 stages. The four stages of the research action cycle are as follows: 1) planning, 2) implementing, 3) observing, and 4) reflecting. Based on the research results obtained, it is known that the average initial data completeness score for 20 students was 52.75%, before the application of the linguistics learning media. The average score for cycle I was 66, or 8 students with a percentage of 40% who had completed or above the KKM and 12 students with a percentage of 60% who had not completed or below the KKM because they had exceeded the predetermined criteria of 75 and continued in cycle II. In conclusion, linguistic learning media can improve multiplication calculation skills.

Abstract

Mental health is very important to pay attention to during the Covid-19 pandemic. Because mental health can also influence individuals in carrying out daily activities. This activity was carried out in the villages of Drajat, Paciran, Lamongan using the socialization method directly and through posters where the material was obtained from literature studies from various sources. The results of this study show that activities like this can be an alternative to increase information to the public.

Abstract

The Influence of the Talking Chips Cooperative Learning Model on the Communication Skills of Class IV Students of UPT SD Negeri 22 Gresik. Thesis, Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. Muhammadiyah University of Gresik (Supervised by Arya Setya Nugraha, M.Pd and Nanang Khoirul Umam, M.Pd). This study aims to determine the effect of the talking chips type cooperative learning model on the communication skills of fourth grade elementary school students in the 2021/2022 academic year. The method used in this study is an experimental method using the Nonequivalent Control Group Design research design. The subjects in this study were students in grades IV-A and IV-B at UPT SD Negeri 22 Gresik with the same number of students, namely 20 students. Data collection techniques in this study were using observation sheets and oral tests of communication skills. Analysis of the data obtained, namely the results of communication skills prove that there is a difference after being given a test to the control class and the experimental class. It is proven by the results of the post-test score for the control class of 74.75. While the results of the post-test value of the experimental class is 87.75. Hypothesis testing in this study using the independent sample T-test obtained significant results, namely 0.000 <0.05, it can be concluded that there is an effect of the talking chips type cooperative learning model on the communication skills of fourth grade students of UPT SD Negeri 22 Gresik.
