Abstract

Solar energy is a renewable energy source that is abundantly availabe in Indonesia.  One way to untilize solar energy is to convert it into electrical energy using photovotaic modules or solar panel called solar power plants (PLTS).  The construction of solar power plants can accelerate the electrification ratio and reduce fossil materials.  In this research, it will make a 100 Wp solar cell will be used by using a 1000 watt inverter by testing the place at the Cilegon City from 08:00 – 17:00 WIB.   Making PLTS is done by identifying components – components such as:  solar panel, DC wattmeter, SCC ( Solar Charge Controller), batteries, 1 phase MCB, and AC wattmeter.  At this PLTS the maximum power produced is 47,87 watts at 13:00 WIB.  And the minimum power produced 31,90 watts at 17:00 WIB.  It can be concluded that this PLTS can be used to help remote areas that have not yet been energized.Keywords: Solar energy, Solar Cell 100 Wp

Abstract

The legal awareness of the village community already exists and is quite good. However, people still need clarification in applying this knowledge. A simple example is that many village people already know about halal certification and its benefits. However, only a few know the procedure for obtaining a halal certificate for an item. Therefore, this community service program conducted a legal literacy program (LLP) for the people of Mekarsari Village, Carenang District. The method used in this service is socialization and demonstration. Legal literacy socialized in this activity is halal certification, drug prevention, and sexual harassment prevention. Apart from that, this activity also contributed to elementary school students in the village through reading corner activities and study assistance. Kesadaran hukum dari masyakat desa telah ada dan cukup baik. Namun, masyarakat masih mengalami kebingungan dalam menerapkan pengetahuan tersebut. Contoh sederhananya yaitu banyak masyarakat desa telah mengetahui tentang sertifikasi halal dan manfaatnya namun hanya sedikit yang mengetahui bagaimana prosedur mendapatkan sertifikat halal untuk suatu barang. Oleh karena itu, program pengabdian masyarakat ini melakukan program literasi hukum (LLP) untuk masyarakat Desa Mekarsari, Kecamatan Carenang. Metode yang digunakan pada pengabdian ini adalah sosialisasi dan demonstrasi. Literasi hukum yang disosialisasikan dalam kegiatan ini yaitu sertifikasi halal, pencegahan narkoba, dan pencegahan pelecehan seksual. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga memberikan kontribusi untuk siswa-siswa sekolah dasar di desa tersebut, berupa kegiatan pojok baca dan pendampingan belajar.

Abstract

Chicken or duck farming is one of the businesses that has good prospects. Conventional hatching of chicken or duck eggs has its own risks with a hatching success percentage of <81%. The hen or duck also needs time for further breeding because they have to incubate the eggs first. Egg incubators on the market usually use on-off controls to regulate incandescent lights which can cause the temperature to fluctuate. Air humidity settings are also manually set by the user. Researchers have conducted studies related to temperature and humidity settings. This article reviews articles from the Scopus database related to control systems in egg incubator with research questions: controlled parameters, sensors used, control theory, methods, and research results that have been carried out. The result of this article can provide an overview of the research development related to egg incubator control systems.

Abstract

People all across the world depend on electricity, which is now primarily produced by fossil fuel power plants. The world is currently switching to use a sustainable and affordable energy source, new renewable energy, or NRE. Water is a energy source of NRE, making it one of the potential sources of NRE around the world. Sukabumi, which is spread out across a large region and has a lot of hydropower potential, has a great chance of being used to run Piko-scale hydropower. Curug Sawer, a popular tourist destination with the potential of hydro power plants, is one of the PHPP potentials in the Sukabumi region. Based on CaSimir and Simulink MATLAB simulations, this study presents an examination of the potential for a pico hydro power plant with an Archimedes Screw turbine. With an area discharge of 0.67 m3/s and a Head height of 1.1 m, the natural reservoir area at Curug Sawer served as the study's source of hydropower. With these parameters, this PHPP can generate 4.67 kW of electricity and 110 kWh of power each day. The tourism destination curug sawer area might save Rp 1,768,680.00 per month on power because of this possibility.

Abstract

An independent village is a village that can carry out village development to improve the quality of life and life as much as possible for the welfare of rural communities with social resilience, economic resilience, and ecological resilience in a sustainable manner. One of the superior villages with a target to become an independent village is Panancangan Village, with various dynamic efforts to make it happen. Panancangan Village is one of the villages in Cibadak District, Lebak Regency, Banten Province. Three methods are used in the Independent Creative Village Program activities: internal discussions and online and offline activities. The independent creative village program has been implemented in this service activity. The activities include digital marketing seminars for MSMEs, health seminars (pulmonary TB), and traditional game competitions in the Republic of Indonesia's Independence Day framework. Desa mandiri adalah desa yang mempunyai kemampuan dalam melaksanakan pembangunan desa untuk meningkatkan mutu kehidupan dan kehidupan yang sebesar-besarnya demi kesejahteraan masyarakat pedesaan dengan ketahanan sosial, ketahanan ekonomi, dan ketahanan ekologi secara berkelanjutan. Salah satu desa yang unggul dan mempunyai target untuk menjadi desa mandiri adalah Desa Panancangan, dengan berbagai upaya dinamis yang dilakukan untuk mewujudkannya. Desa Panancangan merupakan salah satu desa yang berada di Kecamatan Cibadak, Kabupaten Lebak, Provinsi Banten. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan Program Desa Kreatif Mandiri ini ada tiga metode, yaitu diskusi internal, aktivitas online dan aktivititas offline. Program desa kreatif mandiri telah diterapkan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini. Kegiatannya berupa seminar digital marketing untuk UMKM, seminar kesehatan (TB Paru), lomba permainan tradisional dalam rangka Hari Kemerdekaan Republik Indonesia.

Abstract

Flooding in rice fields often occurs as a result of overflowing rainwater or overflowing river water. In addition, irrigation also often overflows and inundates farmers' fields. The way that is often done to overcome this is usually done every few minutes to the fields. An automatic tool is needed that can be used to be able to monitor water level activities that occur in rice fields. In that case farmers can make the best and timely decisions when rice fields will be flooded. The design process of this tool is carried out in 2 stages, namely the area analysis stage and the design of the tool design which will be carried out with the characteristics of rice fields in Teluklada village. The Water Level Measuring Tool as a Flood Indicator in Rice Fields is designed as a flood indicator by utilizing the HCSR04 sensor work function to detect water rise that occurs. Residents who received the notification message were surprised when they first received the flood warning message and felt helped by the presence of this water level measuring instrument because it can monitor rice fields remotely.

Abstract

Lack of awareness and knowledge of the importance of education causes a decrease in student motivation and enthusiasm for studying and achieving dreams, so there is a need for educational socialization and a teaching program in schools and places to recite for students. In addition, there has been no innovation in agriculture, especially related to food security, and household waste is still often disposed of arbitrarily. The purpose of this study is to carry out community service by conducting socialization in the fields of education, agriculture, and waste management, which are still scattered. This program runs for one month, starting with observing the community, then formulating socialization materials and implementing the program directly. This research program went smoothly; it can be seen that the community is enthusiastic about participating in socialization and has begun to make some changes in the way garbage is cleaned. So that little by little, waste can begin to be minimized at certain points. Kesadaran dan pengetahuan yang minim akan pentingnya pendidikan menyebabkan menurunnya motivasi dan semangat siswa dalam menuntut ilmu dan meraih mimpi, sehingga diperlukan adanya sosialisasi pendidikan dan sebuah program mengajar di sekolah dan tempat mengaji bagi para pelajar. Selain itu, belum adanya inovasi di bidang pertanian khususnya terkait ketahanan pangan, dan masih sering membuang sampah rumah tangga seenaknya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melaksanakan pengabdian masyarakat dengan melakukan sosialisasi dalam bidang pendidikan, pertanian dan penanggulangan sampah yang masih berserakan. Program ini berjalan dalam waktu satu bulan yang dimulai dengan melakukan observasi kepada masyarakat, kemudian merumuskan bahan sosialisasi dan melaksanakan program secara langsung. Program penelitian ini berjalan lancar yang dapat dilihat bahwa masyarakat semangat dalam mengikuti sosialisasi dan mulai melakukan beberapa perubahan dalam cara membersihkan sampah. Sehingga sedikit demi sedikit sampah mulai dapat diminimalisir pada titik-titik tertentu.

Abstract

Partial dischrage merupakan suatu peristiwa tembusnya tegangan yang diakibatkan ketidakmampuan suatu insulasi menahan tegangan. Partial discharge dapat terjadi di bagian dalam, permukaan insulasi bahkan dapat menciptakan busur api. Pemodelan PD dikemukakan oleh para ahli dan dianalisis dengan model secara matematis. Percobaan adanya PD dilakukan dalam 3 tipikal yauitu internal discharge, surface discharge dan tip discharge. Diperoleh hasil intensitas PD yang berbeda beda pada masing masing tipikal tersebut

Abstract

The importance of the role of electrical energy at this time cannot be denied and it is difficult to imagine how life would be without electricity, not only as a source of light at night in Cilegon City because it is rich in resources, especially in the industrial sector. Therefore, the existence of a guaranteed power supply is very important. PT Krakatau Daya Listrik, as the main provider and distributor of electrical energy in the KIEC Area (Krakatau Industrial Estate Cilegon), indirectly becomes the backbone for the economy of the people in the trading area of PT Krakatau Daya Listrik. The method used in making predictions is the linear regression method which is a method to test how accurate the relationship between x and y is. In addition, to do forecasting or similarity testing, use Google Colab. The results of the two show a correlation coefficient of 0.4 which is enough to have a relationship between x and y, the more years the more power or electrical energy is needed. This is very relevant considering that electrical energy has become a necessity, so this forecast can help electricity service providers to meet consumer needs.

Abstract

This research discusses the optimization of energy-efficient home electrical systems through the integration of capacitors to improve future energy efficiency. The main objective is to analyze the impact of installing power capacitors in parallel with electrical loads such as fans, refrigerators, and computers to improve power factor and reduce energy consumption. An experimental approach is used, installing capacitors with different values (2μF, 6μF, 8μF) on the test loads and measuring parameters such as voltage, current, power factor, and active power. The results show that the installation of optimal capacitors (e.g., 2μF for fans, 8μF for refrigerators) significantly improves the power factor, from around 0.55-0.61 without capacitors to near unity with capacitors. This power factor improvement reduces the current flowing through the system, leading to lower active power losses and increased energy efficiency. For example, the fan current is reduced from 0.197A to 0.109A with a 2μF capacitor. The active power consumption also decreased for some loads, such as fans experiencing a 4.8% reduction, indicating energy savings. The capacitor integration provides economic benefits through reduced electricity costs and environmental benefits by lowering carbon emissions from reduced electricity generation. The key is to carefully select the right capacitor size to avoid over-compensation, requiring an analysis of the reactive power requirements for each load
