Abstract

The energy-saving and electrical safety awareness program at RA Al-Istiqomah GSI Serdang was designed to enhance children's understanding of electrical hazards and promote efficient energy use. The program used the demonstration method with safe electricity educational tools to deliver the material effectively. Children were taught preventive measures against electrical hazards, such as avoiding frayed cables and wet wires and safely using power sockets and electronic devices. Evaluation results showed an average questionnaire score of 4.66 points, which was categorized as very high, supported by interviews confirming participants' increased understanding. Energy-saving practices were presented through demonstrations, videos, and storytelling. This program effectively enhanced children's knowledge and positively impacted the educational environment at RA Al-Istiqomah. Penyuluhan tentang perilaku hemat energi dan keselamatan listrik di RA Al-Istiqomah GSI Serdang bertujuan meningkatkan kesadaran anak-anak terhadap bahaya listrik dan penggunaan energi yang efisien. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode demonstrasi dengan alat edukasi listrik aman untuk menyampaikan materi secara efektif. Anak-anak diajarkan tindakan pencegahan bahaya listrik, seperti menghindari kabel terkelupas, kabel yang basah, serta penggunaan stop kontak dan perangkat elektronik dengan aman. Evaluasi menunjukkan rata-rata skor kuisioner sebesar 4,66 poin dalam kategori sangat tinggi, didukung oleh wawancara yang mengonfirmasi peningkatan pemahaman peserta. Materi hemat energi disampaikan melalui demonstrasi, video, dan dongeng. Penyuluhan ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman anak-anak dan memberikan dampak positif bagi lingkungan pendidikan di RA Al-Istiqomah.

Abstract

Kebutuhan akan sistem otentikasi yang aman terus meningkat seiring perkembangan teknologi digital. Sistem autentikasi biometrik berbasis ciri khas manusia, seperti pengenalan wajah dan sidik jari, menawarkan solusi namun masih rentan terhadap manipulasi. Penelitian ini mengembangkan sistem autentikasi biometrik multimodal dengan menggabungkan fitur garis telapak tangan dan pola pembuluh darah punggung tangan, memanfaatkan Backpropagation Neural Network (BPNN) untuk klasifikasi dan Tapis Gabor untuk ekstraksi ciri. Sistem ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan akurasi, sensitivitas, dan spesifisitas autentikasi. Pada data pelatihan, sistem mencapai akurasi sebesar 98,1%, sensitivitas 100% pada kelas tertentu, dan spesifisitas optimal. Sementara pada data pengujian, akurasi tercatat sebesar 91%, dengan sensitivitas tertinggi mencapai 95% dan spesifisitas tetap tinggi pada kelas tertentu. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa sistem autentikasi multimodal berbasis BPNN dan Tapis Gabor dapat diandalkan dalam aplikasi keamanan digital, karena mampu memanfaatkan dua sumber biometrik berbeda untuk meningkatkan keakuratan dan daya tahan terhadap teknik pemalsuan.

Abstract

This community service initiative was designed to develop and implement innovative programs tailored to address the needs of the community, particularly in the areas of education, health, and the environment. In the education domain, activities such as elementary school teaching and informal tutoring were carried out to boost students’ motivation and improve their comprehension of academic subjects. In the health sector, the program included anti-bullying campaigns, stunting prevention counseling, integrated health post (posyandu) facilitation, and general health screenings—all aimed at increasing community awareness regarding physical and mental well-being. Meanwhile, in the environmental field, the team conducted coconut tree planting and soil bioremediation efforts as a form of environmental preservation and ecological education. The implementation strategy involved direct engagement with the community through several stages: initial observation, program planning, execution, and final evaluation. The outcomes of this initiative indicate enhanced knowledge and active community participation in all three sectors. These results affirm that collaborative and innovative approaches in community service can contribute to sustainable solutions and foster an overall improvement in the community’s quality of life. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dirancang untuk mengembangkan dan melaksanakan program-program inovatif yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan masyarakat, khususnya di bidang pendidikan, kesehatan, dan lingkungan. Di bidang pendidikan, kegiatan seperti pengajaran di sekolah dasar dan bimbingan belajar informal dilaksanakan untuk meningkatkan motivasi siswa dan meningkatkan pemahaman mereka terhadap mata pelajaran akademis. Di bidang kesehatan, program ini mencakup kampanye anti perundungan, konseling pencegahan stunting, fasilitasi posyandu, dan pemeriksaan kesehatan umum—semuanya bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat mengenai kesejahteraan fisik dan mental. Sementara itu, di bidang lingkungan, tim melakukan penanaman pohon kelapa dan upaya bioremediasi tanah sebagai bentuk pelestarian lingkungan dan pendidikan ekologi. Strategi pelaksanaannya melibatkan keterlibatan langsung dengan masyarakat melalui beberapa tahap: observasi awal, perencanaan program, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi akhir. Hasil dari inisiatif ini menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan partisipasi aktif masyarakat di ketiga sektor tersebut. Hasil ini menegaskan bahwa pendekatan kolaboratif dan inovatif dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat dapat berkontribusi pada solusi berkelanjutan dan mendorong peningkatan kualitas hidup masyarakat secara menyeluruh.

Abstract

Pollutant is a serious problem today as the use of non-renewable energy sources is still a favorite, especially those sourced from coal and petroleum fuels. To anticipate dependence on coal-fired power plants, many studies have been conducted related to environmentally friendly power plants. One of the environmentally friendly power plants is wind power plants. Based on the criteria of wind turbines such as TSD-500, a wind speed of at least 3 m/s is required to start production. The purpose of this study is to find out how much potential clean energy is generated through wind energy generation on the coast of Ciheras. The research method in data collection used is qualitative descriptive. The results of the analysis found that the energy obtained from the process of converting wind energy into electrical energy can illuminate 9 houses, with each house consuming 70 Watts of power for 5 hours.
