Abstract

Malpractice is not only limited to the health profession but can also occur in other professions. Medical malpractice can be committed by doctors, nurses, midwives or other health workers whose actions deviate from medical standards. The problem of malpractice in health services today is being interesting topic for many people among various groups. It is proved by the many malpractice cases handled by the Honorary Council of Indonesian Medical Discipline (MKDKI). One of the reasons lies on the lack of communication between doctors or medical personnel and patients. One of the purposes of this research is to measure the level of understanding of doctor candidates about malpractice so that it is easier to follow up on it. his research used observation research method by taking data from medical students 2019 who are in the final semester to determine the students’ level of malpractice understanding. The sample of this research were decided by using purposive sampling in non-probability sampling technique. The results showed that there are 8 students (13%) in the high level,47 students (78%) in moderate level and 5 students (8%) in deficient level of malpractice understanding in the final semester students of medicine faculty at University of Lambung Mangkurat.

Abstract

Based on the results of interviews conducted with the parents of the seven students at Harapan Bangsa Kindergarten Banjarnasin, the four students already knew what sexual violence was, but had never provided education to their children because it was still considered taboo by children of their age. There are those who think that their children's education from school is sufficient, and there are also those who have provided education to their children about sexual violence. The purpose of this study is to know the level of knowledge of parents about awareness of the interests of early sexual education in children in Harapan Bangsa Banjarmasin Kindergarten. The research method used is observational, with data collection of parents of kindergarten students. The population used in this study was all parents of kindergarten students in Banjarmasin, The study sample was part of the population that was the subject of enelitian which was considered representative of the entire population using total sampling. The subjects of the study were all parents of 30 students of Harapan Bangsa Kindergarten in North Banjarmasin District who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results showed that the level of parental knowledge of early sexual education in children in Harapan Bangsa Banjarmasin Kindergarten was 6 people (20%) good, 21 people (70%) were quite good, and 3 people (10%) were less.

Abstract

Abstract: Death occurs when an organism's overall functions permanently cease. Decomposition breaks down the structure of dead organisms. In autolysis, body enzymes aid decay. Cathepsin and calpain are cysteine proteases that catalyze protein breakdown through peptide bond hydrolysis. To reduce formalin exposure for forensic experts, anti-decay agents can be replaced. This study aims to analyze cathepsin enzyme interactions with active phytochemicals in katuk leaves (Sauropus androgynus) using in silico methods. Molecular docking analysis reveals afzelin, reserpine, trifolin, and kaempferol as potential cathepsin S inhibitors, with afzelin being the most promising due to its binding energy approaching that of odanacatib, the best current cathepsin K inhibitor. Keywords: katuk leaves, cathepsin, molecular docking Abstrak: Kematian terjadi ketika fungsi organisme secara keseluruhan berhenti secara permanen. Abstract

Garcinia forbesii King, an endemic plant from Sumatra and Kalimantan, is traditionally used for treating skin infections and inflammation. Its potential use as a raw material for medicines needs to be supported by safety tests. The purpose of this study is to assess the acute toxicity of its 70% leaf extract in male Wistar rats, evaluating clinical symptoms, body weight changes, organ indices, and the lethal dose (LD50). The study administered extract doses orally at 5 (G2), 50 (G3), 300 (G4), and 2,000 (G5) mg/kg BW, monitoring toxicity signs over 14 days. Symptoms such as piloerection, respiratory distress, and soft feces were noted. Significant weight loss was observed at doses of 2,000 mg/kg BW. There was no significant effect on the kidney index, but the liver and heart indices exhibited significantly lower changes compared to the control. The LD50 value was estimated to be between 2,000-5,000 mg/kg BW. Further studies are recommended to assess histopathological effects and identify harmful chemicals in the plant.
