This study aims to describe the perception of clinical nursing career paths. This study uses a descriptive research design. Sampling of 64 nurses using simple random sampling with a perception questionnaire instrument about the career path of nurses. The data analysis technique used is univariate analysis with the results of an overview or description of the frequency distribution and the percentage of each variable examined. The results of this study indicate that the description of nurses' perceptions of career paths on several indicators, namely promotions obtained by more than half of the nurses having a good perception of 49 people (76.6%), then awards were obtained by more than half of the nurses having a good perception of 47 people (73 .4%), then the recognition was obtained that more than half of the nurses had a good perception of 45 people (70.3%), then career development was obtained by 39 people (60.9%), and the indicator with a good perception of frequency and the lowest percentage was career challenges it was obtained that more than half of the nurses had a good perception of 36 0 people (56.3%). Perceptions of nurse career paths at the Ibnu Sina Main Teaching Hospital UMI showed that nurses chose more positive statements, so it can be concluded that the perceptions of nurse career paths were mostly in the good category. Abstract

Professionalism is a requirement for the nursing profession in carrying out their duties in nursing services where nurses are an important resource for providing quality health services. One of the supports for nurse professionalism is through the development of a nursing career path. Nursing career path is a system that improves nurse performance and improves nurse skills. This research is a quantitative study using a cross-sectional design that aims to determine the effect of nurse level on nurse performance in documenting nursing care. Sampling used the total sampling method, namely a total of 82 nurses, with a research instrument of understanding and perception questionnaires about the career path of clinical nurses as well as clinical nurse performance questionnaires in documenting nursing care. The data analysis technique used was univariate and bivariate, where bivariate used the Chi-Square test. The results of the statistical analysis using the Chi-Square test obtained a value of ρ 0.004 or less than a (0.05) so it can be concluded that there is an effect of level clinical nurse career on the performance of clinical nurses in documenting nursing care at the Ibnu Sina Hospital UMI Makassar. Suggestions are that nurses are expected to be able to increase their responsibility towards their duties, including documenting nursing care and making sure to do the documentation carefully, accurately and on time

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the diseases that is considered the main cause of death and disability. The incidence rate of hypertension increases rapidly every year. This study aims to determine the influence of long-term suffering from hypertension, family support and medication adherence to the quality of life of patients through smoking behavior at the Mandai Health Center, Maros Regency. The type of research used is quantitative research with a cross sectional study design, which is a research design that studies the relationship between independent and dependent variables. The population in this study is all hypertension patients in the working area of the Mandai Health Center as many as 100 people. The sample in this study was 100 people using the sampling technique, namely total sampling. Statistical analysis used univariate and bivariate, with the chi square test followed by the path analyst.  The results of the study using pathway analysis showed that family support (p=0.004, β=0.279), medication adherence (p=0.011, β=-0.0274) had a significant effect on the quality of life of hypertensive patients while suffering for a long time (p=0.0.357, β=0.098), and smoking behavior (p=0.960, β=-0.005) did not have a significant effect on the quality of life of hypertensive patients at the Mandai Health Center, Maros Regency.  The suggestion in this study is that it is expected that the patient's family will always support the treatment of hypertension patients so that the level of adherence to taking medication is better.
