Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji ruang atau proksemika dan nilai-nilai Islam dalam rumah tradisonal Tepal. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan etnografi. Lokasi penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Tepal Kabupaten Sumbawa, adapun subyek dalam penelitian yaitu masyarakat dan tokoh adat atau tokoh agama yang mampu dan berkompeten memberikan penjelasan mengenai proksemik dan nilai-nilai Islam pada rumah tradisional Tepal. Sedangkan Teknik pengumpulan data dari berbagai macam sumber yang mempunyai kaitan dengan tema yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini. Dalam menganalisis data, peneliti menggunakan model interaktif yang terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu reduksi data, data display dan yang terakhir penarikan kesimpulan atau verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ruang dalam rumah tradisional masyarakat Tepal terbagi menjadi tiga bagian yaitu rong lu’er (Ruang depan), rong tenga’ (ruang tengah) dan rong bute’ (ruang belakang). dalam konteks skala jarak dalam kajian proksemika ketiga ruangan sangat fleksibek karena dapat berubah fungsi dari jarak pribadi menjadi jarak sosial tergantung keinginan sang pemilik rumah. Nilai-nilai islam juga sangat erat kaitannya dalam proses pembuatan rumah tradisonal Tepal dan ketiga ruangan dalam rumah masyarakat Tepal yaitu rong lu’er (Ruang depan), rong tenga’ (ruang tengah) dan rong bute’ (ruang belakang) memiliki fungsi dan makna sesuai nilai-nilai Islam yang dianut oleh masyarakat Tepal

Abstract

This research is to explain the stages of the 2022 Sumbawa Regency Pilkada conflict. The method used is a qualitative method with a case study approach. The data were obtained from the narrative of communication conversations through social media (facebook) which discussed support for the figures of the two Sumbawa regent candidate pairs. The data analysis technique that can be used in analyzing qualitative data is thematic analysis. The results showed that the pre-conflict stage was the initial stage of the conflict stage, this conflict was triggered by the issue of the 2020 Sumbawa Regency Pilkada. The conflict began to open up when the appearance of Novi, the governor's sister as a candidate for Deputy Regent, was claimed as a form of political dynasty, coupled with the issue during the governor's campaign he helped Mo-Novi by providing livestock assistance to voters. Meanwhile, the escalation of the conflict was triggered by a comment by a Mo-Novi supporter who insulted Jarot-Mohlis and his supporters as Dogs because the Jarot-Mohlis pair did not accept their defeat. Meanwhile, as a result of the conflict, there has been no attempt to meet the candidate pairs, supporters have not yet greeted each other because of different choices and the feeling of kinship is increasingly stretched. In post-conflict, there is no attempt at reconciliation process, conflicts are reconciled naturally along with the end of the election period.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the signs found in Sapu Alang, such as motives. In order to find out how Sapu Alang became the identity of the Sumbawa people. This research is a qualitative research using Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotic analysis, which is based on representament, object, interpretant. The object in this study is Alang Sapu. This study uses interview data, observation, and documentation. This research focuses on the meaning or meaning of the hidden signs, symbols and symbols in the Sapu Alang motif so that later it will be associated with how Sapu Alang becomes the identity of the people of Sumbawa. The data were obtained through semiotic analysis, while the research location was Poto Hamlet, Poto Village, Moyo Hilir District, Sumbawa. The results of the study after analysis using Carles Sanders Pierce's semiotics show that the reed broom gives signs to objects in the form of various forms of motifs which as a whole show the identity of the Sumbawa people. The identity referred to is as an agrarian society that always maintains harmony with nature and with God the Creator of Nature   Keywords: Sapu Alang, Sumbawa, Semiotic, Visual Communication
