Abstract

This study investigates how work motivation and competency impact employee performance at a marketing-related organization. The research focused on work motivation and competence because these factors are critical in determining an individual's success within the organization's framework. The regression analysis method examines Employee performance in connection to these variables. Based on the research findings, motivation has a total influence of 40.7% on employee performance, making it the most significant factor. Motivation is an innate desire that propels people to accomplish the objectives they set for themselves at work. A high level of motivation can boost workers' morale, commitment, and work ethic. Managers must comprehend and use the elements that inspire workers, such as rewards for accomplishments, chances for professional growth, and suitable incentives. However, with a total influence of 27.3%, work competency also has a noteworthy impact on employee performance. Job competencies are the set of abilities, attitudes, and knowledge required to succeed in a specific work. Workers with solid work abilities are typically better equipped to perform their jobs quickly and effectively. As a result, the organization's management must be dedicated to enhancing worker competency through development, training, and ongoing education. With a coefficient of determination value of 68.1%, the analysis demonstrates that the influence of both job competence and motivation significantly influences variations in employee performance. Nonetheless, these two factors account for just about 31.9% of the variability in performance. External variables like the workplace, organizational policy, external economic situations, and internal employee considerations may also impact employee performance. These results give the organization's management helpful information for creating plans and policies that enhance worker performance. Enhancing work competence and staff motivation can be a significant starting point. To improve effectiveness, businesses must also consider other aspects affecting employee performance. The study highlights the significance of work motivation and competence as critical elements influencing employee performance in a marketing-related organization. Enterprises are expected to enhance their total performance, production, and efficiency by comprehending and controlling these aspects. To improve knowledge of the variables affecting worker performance and to pinpoint more targeted approaches to boosting competence and motivation at work, further study can be done.

Abstract

The workplace environment significantly influences employee performance. Employee productivity is directly impacted by the work environment, which enhances performance. As a fundamental human activity, communication plays a crucial part in social relationships; as a result, its impact on the workplace is crucial. Employee performance is more productive when there is more built-in communication between departments. The primary objective of this study is to investigate the impact of communication and the physical work environment on employee performance within car and machinery manufacturing enterprises located in Bandung. The present investigation employed a nonprobability sampling technique. The utilization of sample acquisition methodology becomes crucial when the population size is constrained or when the research objective is to achieve the highest level of generalizability. Censuses are another name for saturated sampling, in which the entire population—61 people in this case—serves as a sample. Descriptive and verifiable research methodology is used. Utilized data collection methods include observation, questionnaire distribution, and interviewing. Multiple linear regression, multiple correlations, F-test, T-test, coefficient of determination, partial determination coefficient, and hypothesis testing are the data analysis techniques used. According to the research findings, a vehicle and machinery sector firm in Bandung can have good communication, a physical work environment, and staff performance. Employee performance is strongly influenced by communication and the physical work environment, with the remaining influences coming from elements that were not studied.

Abstract

This study seeks to determine the substantial influence of product quality and advertising on consumer purchasing decisions.  The research analyzed users of seasoned flour in the current market, employing data from questionnaires distributed to chosen participants.  The research employed a sample-based methodology to elucidate consumer purchase behavior.  The research classified variables as independent and dependent types.  The independent variables were product quality and promotion, whereas the dependent variable was the purchase decision.  The research process necessitated an evaluation of the validity and reliability of the instruments employed, which was succeeded by data analysis via route analysis utilizing the SPSS application.  The findings indicated that product quality and advertising significantly influenced consumer purchasing decisions.  The results indicate that product quality affects purchase decisions, highlighting its importance in influencing client preferences.  Conversely, promotion exerts a more substantial impact, underscoring the necessity for effective marketing strategies to attract and keep customers.  The coefficient of determination analysis revealed that product quality and promotion substantially affect purchase decisions.  Nonetheless, unexamined factors also affect customer decisions.  Management should prioritize preserving and enhancing product quality and promotional activities to sustain consumer engagement and improve purchasing decisions.  Ensuring consistent product quality cultivates customer trust and loyalty, whereas efficient promotional strategies enhance brand visibility and attract new clients.  This study emphasizes integrating quality enhancement and marketing strategies to attain a competitive edge in the current market landscape.  Future research may explore additional elements that affect purchasing decisions to enhance comprehension of customer behavior in the food industry.

Abstract

This applied research and community service initiative addresses the critical issue of operational inefficiencies driven by human error within retail supply chains. To resolve this problem, the research team aims to identify the root causes of human error in the supply chain process and deliver actionable mitigation strategies tailored for the Fresh Bakery Division at PT Lotte Mart Indonesia, Bandung. The study employs a qualitative research methodology, mobilizing a collaborative team of university lecturers and students to gather field insights. The data collection process relies on semi-structured interviews and observations with corporate business actors and front-line operational executors who serve as key informants. The empirical findings reveal that specific communication gaps and manual entry steps trigger frequent PO discrepancies, which subsequently disrupt inventory flows. Based on these insights, this study provides structured protocols, digital double-check mechanisms, and targeted training interventions that effectively minimize human error.

Abstract

This paper addresses the operational challenges at PT KAI, Bandung, where fragmented material tracking and inefficient inventory scheduling frequently lead to maintenance delays and inflated holding costs for critical railway spare parts. To resolve these issues, this joint research and community service project aims to optimize the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system, thereby accelerating operational efficiency and safeguarding schedule punctuality. We adopted a qualitative research design, deploying a collaborative team of university lecturers and students to conduct in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analyses. We analyzed the qualitative data using thematic analysis and process mapping to evaluate how the optimized MRP framework impacts daily maintenance workflows. The results demonstrate that optimizing the MRP system drastically eliminates redundant inventory, shortens lead times for critical maintenance components, and significantly reduces operational waste. By establishing an integrated, data-driven scheduling workflow, PT KAI successfully minimized maintenance downtime and stabilized its supply chain.
