Abstract

Plagiat merupakan salah satu tindakan malakademik yang berdampak buruk pada kualitas karya tulis yang dihasilkan. Di kalangan siswa plagiat seakan menjadi sebuah budaya atau kebiasaan yang sangat sulit dihilangkan karena berbagai macam alasan. Fenomena plagiat terjadi di kalangan siswa SMK Katolik St.Mikael Surakarta. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan mitigasi dini dan tindakan konkret agar plagiat dapat diminimalisasi. Oleh karena itu, tujuan PkM ini adalah memberikan wawasan kepada siswa SMK Katolik St. Mikael Surakarta dengan memberikan webinar tentang pengenalan dan pembelajaran tentang hal-hal yang mendasari suatu tindakan plagiat sehingga para siswa menyadari praktik akademik yang baik dan cara yang tepat untuk menghindari plagiat. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan pengabdian ini antara lain (1) siswa mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih jelas tentang plagiat yang terbukti dari perbedaan hasil pretes dan postes yang diberikan, (2) siswa semakin mengenal jenis kutipan yaitu kutipan langsung dan kutipan tidak langsung serta mengetahui prinsip dan model-model sitasi yang tepat, (3) siswa mendapatkan pemahaman yang utuh tentang prinsip dan teknis melakukan parafrasa, dan (4) siswa mendapatkan cara lain untuk meminimalisasi tindakan plagiat dengan cara OCIE (Observation, Citation, Interpretation, Evaluation) Kata Kunci: Karya Tulis Ilmiah, Plagiat, SMK Katolik St. Mikael Surakarta

Abstract

Background: Adaptation is important for adjustment to change. A student who is pursuing education needs the ability to cope with the changes that occur. Students' inability to adapt has an impact on academic, social adjustment, personal-emotional adjustment, and institutional attachment. Objectives: To describe the adaptation nursing student class of 2020 at one of the Western Indonesian Private Universities. Methods: This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with a cross sectional approach. Population in this study 231 students. Instruments used adapted from the Student Adjustment to College Questionnaire (SACQ). The data analysis technique used is univariate analysis with conducting data from January to April 2022. Results: adaptation of nursing students class of 2020 in college at one of the western Indonesian private universities shows that 147 students obtained moderate results on the four subscales, first academic adjustment (66.7%), social adjustment (81%), personal-emotional adjustment (68%), and institutional attachment (57.8%). Students' Academic Adjustment abilities showed the highest percentage (19.7%) among others subscale and Institutional Attachment abilities showed the lowest percentage (29.3%). Recommendation: In the form of a special basic training program to discuss how to adapt properly in the university environment.

Abstract

ChatGPT is one of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) released by the American artificial intelligence research laboratory. The use of ChatGPT has various impacts on its users, both negative and positive impacts on moral and psychological aspects. Knowing the description of the use of ChatGPT in Third Year Students of the Faculty of Nursing at University X. This study uses quantitative methods with a cross sectional approach. The study was conducted in January-April 2024 with a sample of 176 students. The respondents in this study were third-year students of the Faculty of Nursing, University X. There were 92 out of a total of 176 respondents who often used ChatGPT while the remaining 84 did not use often, so it can be concluded that the description of ChatGPT use in third-year students of the Faculty of Nursing at University X is in the category of often. From this study, it is hoped that students can continue research on the description of ChatGPT use with different populations and methods and add variables related or influential to the use of ChatGPT.
