Abstract

Muhammadiyah as an organization hasthe values ofa strong organizational culture. Efforts Muhammadiyah Universities (PTM) is how the culture ofthe organization with the right strategy could predispose Human Resources (HR) professionals and character based on the value of Muhammadiyah. One of the objectivesof this studyare identify the role ofTheory Zand the factors that support the process of internalization of organizational culture in Muhammadiyah Universities. This study uses qualitative research sites at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta in Central Java and Universitas Ahmad Dahlan in Yogyakarta. Samples taken are leaders include Vice Rector, the head units such as HR, BIFAS, LPSI as well as lecturers and employees. Internalization process of organizational culture to form employee orientation required three basic elements that support each other, namely: a conducive environment, leadership and exemplary. In this study a conducive environment can be created through the implementation of Theory Z in the field of education that takes into account the following six elements: (1) trust, (2) self-motivation, (3) the reward system, (4) training for enhancing skills, (5) control and shared decision-making as well as (6) quality learning. Activities carried UAD and UMS forinternalization process such as religious activities together, pray, kultum, memorial religious holidays and forms of professional activity as well as other shared ritual that characterize organizations that bring together all employees and lecturers from various faculties and units that exist as an important aspect in creating organizational culture.

Abstract

Learning condition and situation at schools now need severe teachers performance so that they are not out of date in applying ICT for the sake of education. The application of ICT in education will only be slogan and rhetoric if there are no any serious actions. One of them is the teacher should be a front guard/starter at school. The research problems: (1) how is the grand design of the developed ICT training? (2) how is the effectiveness of the development result-model?. The research findings: (1) the developed ICT training model design is the Innovative Dick-Carey (IDC) model  which is developed by combining Dick-Carey, BPTKIP, and LPMP models, (2) as the final model result, through the t-test, the IDC training model is very effective to improve teachers performance in learning process. It is suggested that every school should provide educational infrastructures which can give more chances to ICT to be implemented in learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to find the management model of competency test implementation so industrial market will acknowledge the test certificates obtained by vocational high school (SMK) graduates. The study employs a Research and Development (R & D) without implementing the whole steps of R&D. The research begins with the preliminary step and then continues with FGD I in order to fix model I, then the model I become model II, and then model II ended by FGD II to be the model II which is validated by the experts and practitioners upon its feasibility. These procedures are conducted considering the research finding related to a policy change is hard to be implemented. The results of the study show that one validator assesses the model as “quite feasible to be implemented”. Four validators conclude that the model is “feasible to be implemented”. Five validators categorize the model as “very feasible to be implemented”. The measurement of the model validity is 84.6%. Therefore, the competency test model " 10 months online” is very feasible to be implemented. This outcome is well-embraced by the FGD participants. Based on interviews researchers with industry the findings of this research  was  good and the model is easy to implement. Likewise, internal assessors opinion this model is a new innovation and feasible. This study concludes that the competency test model of "10 months online " infeasible and provides a great opportunity for the industry to be involved in assessing the competency test because it is administered on Saturday and Sunday within 10 months. The involvement of industry world is expected to have a positive impact, i.e. the graduates are easier to get a job.
