Abstract

The problem in this research is: "How is the implementation of group counseling services that can enhance emotional intelligence of students of Guidance Counseling Department of FIP of Unnes?" The purpose of this research was to find out how the implementation of group counseling services (KKp) can improve student‟s intelligence emotional. This is a classroom action research with first semester students of BK department as subjects. The object of observation in this study is to increase The students emotional improvement is observed using problem checklist. The research was performed in 3 cycles. The results shows the emotional intelligence of students decreases by average of 4.32% for the first cycle, increases by average of 16.31% for second cycle, and increases by average of 10.60% for the third cycle. The total improvement is 22.52%. Thus, Group Counseling Service (KKp) is effective to improve students emotional intelligence. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ”Sejauhmanakah daya aplikatif buku teks IPS Geografi di SLTP”; yang secara khusus untuk mengetahui sejauhmana tingkat aplikasi curriculum dan instructional design, content, communication, creativity, dan daya cosmetic pada buku teks IPS Geografi SLTP?Untuk menjawab kelima sub permasalahan tersebut akan diadakan penelitian deskriptif dokumenter mengenai daya aplikatif buku teks IPS Geografi SLTP yang ditelusuri dari 5 aspek tersebut, dengan populasi buku-buku teks IPS Geografi yang digunakan siswa SLTP di seluruh Jawa Tengah; dengan sampel penelitian sejumlah 6 buku teks IPS Geografi SLTP, yang terdiri dari 1 buku teks wajib (dari Depdiknas, terbitan Erlangga) dan 1 buku teks suplemen karangan P.Ginting, Fathurrahman M, dan S. Pinem, yang juga terbitan Erlangga; yang keduanya, masing-masing untuk kelas VII, VIII, dan IX; dengan lingkup materi Cawu I. Sumber data yang digunakan meliputi: (1) Buku Teks (sesuai dengan Kurikulum KTSP SLTP Geografi Tahun 2006) dan (2) Manusia, mencakup: Guru bidang studi IPS Geografi, Ahli Media, Ahli Content, dan Ahli Insrumen. Data dikumpulkan melalui studi dokumenter dan interview, dan dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kwantitatif. Hasil penelitian yang berhasil peneliti jaring, yakni: (1) Buku teks wajib IPS Geografi SLTP dari Depdiknas Terbitan Erlangga Jakarta memiliki kualitas yang tinggi; memiliki daya aplikasi curriculum and instructional design yang tinggi, memiliki daya aplikasi content yang memadai, memiliki daya aplikasi communication yang efektif, juga memiliki daya aplikasi creativity dan cosmetic yang tinggi. Sebagai buku wajib, sudah sangat memenuhi persyaratan teknis sebuah buku ajar dan sangat representatif untuk digunakan sebagai buku ajar siswa; (2) Buku teks suplemen IPS Geografi SLTP dari Penerbit Erlangga Karangan P. Ginting, dkk; memiliki daya aplikasi curriculum and instructional design yang cukup tinggi, memiliki daya aplikasi content yang cukup memadai, memiliki daya aplikasi communication yang cukup efektif, juga memiliki daya aplikasi creativity dan cosmetic yang cukup tinggi. Abstract

Learning condition and situation at schools now need severe teachers performance so that they are not out of date in applying ICT for the sake of education. The application of ICT in education will only be slogan and rhetoric if there are no any serious actions. One of them is the teacher should be a front guard/starter at school. The research problems: (1) how is the grand design of the developed ICT training? (2) how is the effectiveness of the development result-model?. The research findings: (1) the developed ICT training model design is the Innovative Dick-Carey (IDC) model  which is developed by combining Dick-Carey, BPTKIP, and LPMP models, (2) as the final model result, through the t-test, the IDC training model is very effective to improve teachers performance in learning process. It is suggested that every school should provide educational infrastructures which can give more chances to ICT to be implemented in learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan Model Computer-Based Test (CBT) Berbasis Piranti Lunak Adobe Flash untuk SMK ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengembangkan sebuah model CBT yang valid, praktis, dan efektif, (2) menguji kelayakan, dan (3) menguji keefektifan CBT. Studi kasus pada 3 SMK di kabupaten Timor Tengah Utara, NTT). Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian pengembangan (R & D) dengan langkah-langkah sebagai berikut: Studi pendahuluan, kajian pustaka, studi lapangan, desain prototipe, pengembangan model, validasi dan uji coba. Instrumen pengumpulan data terdiri dari tes, angket siswa dan lembar pengamatan guru. Produk yang dikembangkan divalidasi oleh pakar materi dan pakar multimedia. Penilaian kepraktisan model CBT diperoleh dari angket respon siswa. Sebanyak 39 siswa yang memberikan penilaian, 31 siswa atau 79,49% memberi respon “sangat setuju” dan “setuju” terhadap 10 butir pernyataan dalam angket, dan 8 siswa atau 20,51% yang memberi “kurang setuju”. Model CBT dinyatakan praktis apabila terdapat minimal 75% responden menyatakan “setuju”. Dengan demikian, model CBT yang dikembangkan dinyatakan praktis. Keefektifan model CBT diperoleh dari hasil pengamatan guru terhadap model dan pelaksanaan CBT. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, diketahui bahwa 11 orang guru atau 100% memberi respon “sangat setuju” dan “setuju” oleh karena itu model CBT yang dikembangkan dinyatakan efektif. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah (1) sekolah perlu menyediakan fasilitas TIK yang memadai untuk mendukung latihan CBT, (2) pemerintah daerah perlu memberikan diklat di bidang teknologi pembelajaran bagi guru, dan (3) program pendampingan siswa dalam berbagai latihan CBT sebagai persiapan diri mengikuti Ujian Nasional Berbantuan Komputer (UNBK).Research on developing Model of Computer-Based Test (CBT) Based Software of Adobe Flash for Vocational High School aims to (1) developing a valid, practical, and effective model of CBT, (2) testing the validity of the CBT model, and (3) testing the effectivity of CBT model. Experiments were carried out at 3 SMKs in North Central Timor regency, East Nusa Tenggara province. This is a research and development (R & D) which consists of several steps: field study, theoretical study, prototype desgn, developing model, validation and experiments. Data collection instruments consisted of CBT model test, questionnaire of students and teacher observation sheet. The product was validated by experts and specialists. Rate practicality of CBT models obtained from the student questionnaire responses. A total of 39 students who provide assessment, 31 students or 79.49% responded "strongly agree" and "agree" to the 10-point declaration in the questionnaire, and 8 students or 20.51% who gave "less agree". The CBT model is declared practical when there is a minimum of 75% of respondents said "agree". Thus, the CBT model is practical. The effectiveness of CBT models is from teacher observation against the model and implementation of CBT. Based on the analysis, there were 11 teachers or 100% responded "strongly agree" and "agree" therefore the model of CBT is effective. The implications of this research are (1) schools should provide adequate ICT facilities to support the implementation of CBT drills, (2) local governments should provide training in the field of learning technologies for teachers, and (3) teachers need intensive mentoring for students in a variety of exercises on CBTs as preparation for computer-based national examination.

Abstract

Augmented reality (AR) could be a new technology to address the exhibition event become more interesting, secure and its product could be easily renewable for educational purposes. This article describes the development process of AR media and fnd out it feasibility as a learning tool for 3D animation lecture at higher education level. This research employing Research and Development (R & D) model and adapted 10 stages of R & D model from Sugiyono (2013) into four primary steps, i.e. (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development and (4) testing the product. The feasibility of the product has been tested by media expert and showed a very good result with average score at 95%, the testing product for student also gained the same result with average score at 81%. The result of this research proved that AR was feasible as a learning media for 3D animation lecture and therefore it has a potential to be used for another context for educational purposes. Abstrak Media augmented reality (AR) dapat dipergunakan sebagai teknologi baru dalam penyelenggaraan pameran secara virtual sehingga produk yang dipamerkan akan terpelihara dan dapat diperbarui. Artikel ini menggambarkan proses pengembangan media AR dan mengetahui kelayakannya sebagai media penunjang pembelajaran mata kuliah Animasi 3D. Penelitian ini menggunakan model research and development yang mengadaptasi 10 tahap pengembangan sugiyono dan disederhanakan menjadi 4 tahap utama, yaitu (1) analysis, (2) desain, (3) pengembangan produk, dan (4) ujicoba produk. Hasil uji kelayakan yang dilakukan oleh ahli media diperoleh rata-rata persentase 95% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Selain itu hasil ujicoba kepada mahasiswa didapatkan perolehan rata-rata persentase 81% dan masuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Hasl penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa AR memang terbukti layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran dalam mata kuliah Animasi 3D dan oleh karenanya potensial juga digunakan untuk mata kuliah dan pembelajaran lain. Abstract

Education has been developing rapidly with the advances in digital technology. Creative demands in the innovation of the learning process of the current situation must have by educators and learners. This study has purpose to determine the procedure of learning development of digital simulation assisted by digital module by using digital module based Portable Document Format, produced digital module, and determine the effectiveness of learning by using digital modules based Portable Document Format to grade X of RPL and TKJ Skill Competency on the subjects of Digital Simulation at SMK Texmaco Semarang. This study applied the Research and development (R & D) method by using a five-stage process of the development of digital module based Portable Document format on the subject of digital Simulation. The subjects of this study were students of grade X of RPL and TKJ Skills Competency on the subject of Digital Simulation, SMK Texmaco Semarang. The results showed that the average value of students who use digital module based Portable Document Format (New Work System), ie 91.7%, in the conventional learning (Old Job System), with 74%. The procedure of the development of digital module based Portable Document Format consists of five stages, which is in accordance to the research and development proposed by Borg and Gall, pre-development model, development model, evaluation model, implementation and revision model. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that learning by using digital module based Portable Document Format is effective as can be seen from the response of students with an average score of 57.13% (excellent). The benefits obtained from the study are (1) provide benefits of the repertoire of knowledge in the utilization of information and communication technologies, particularly in the project-based learning model assisted by digital module, (2) as a reference for subsequent researchers, mainly related to the digital module.

Abstract

Learning environment can influence the development of the academic and psychological abilities of every human being in his life, including children. This study aims to analyze environmental-based learning as a source of learning for children. The research is qualitative research, and it was carried out at the Cerdas Chilhood Education Program in Sukorejo-Kendal. The subjects of the study were the teacher of Cerdas Chilhood Education Program in Sukorejo-Kendal. Data analysis was done using an interactive model. The results of the study showed that the planning of learning in utilizing the environment of RPS (Semester Program), RPPM (Weekly Program), and RPPH (Daily Program). The implementation of learning in using the environment as a learning resource includes the implementation of opening activities, main activities and closing activities. Assessment of learning in utilizing the environment as a learning resource includes checklists, anecdotal notes, and artworks. The environment used as a learning resource starts from planning, implementation, and assessment including three types of environments, namely the natural environment, social environment, and artificial environment. The obstacles in applying environment-based learning as a source of learning are climates and location of Sukorejo village in a mountainous area that have fairly high rainfall intensity so that sometimes the plans that have been made cannot be implemented and assessed. The participation of parents, teachers, students, and the community is needed to carry out maximum environment-based learning.

Abstract

The use of technology-based media increases students’ motivation and learning effectivity in the classroom. This research aims to develop, to examine the appropriateness and the effectivity of flash-based media at Senior High School. This development research uses the ADDIE model. Based on the research result, the score of validity trials from the material expert is 72, the score from the media expert is 58 and from the practitioner expert is 75. The assessment from the material, media and practitioner expert show that flash-based media is in the appropriate category. Effectiveness test of the flash-based media development is through the testing of hypothesis, the data shows that for both experimental and controlled class in pre-test and post-test, the score is Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05, and the score of the students’ motivation in learning for pre-test and post-test in both experimental and controlled is Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05. It means that the flash-based media increases students’ motivation and achievement in the learning process. This research result supports the theories of technology learning, especially for the development of learning aids and media for English subject.
