Abstract

This study aims to examine (1) the influence of education and training on motivation partially, (2) the influence of education and training on motivation simultaneously, (3) the influence of education on teacher performance directly and indirectly through motivation, (4) the influence of training on teacher performance directly and indirectly through motivation, and (5) the influence of motivation on teacher performance directly. This study employs ex post facto method using a quantitative approach. The sampling employed the saturated sample technique where the entire population was used as the research sample. The sample of the study was all teachers consisted of 39 teachers. The results of the study reveal that (1) Partially, there is a direct influence significantly of education and training on motivation, (2) Simultaneously, there is a direct influence significantly of education and training on motivation, (3) there is a direct and significant influence of education on teacher performance as well indirectly through motivation, (4) there is a direct and significant influence of training on teacher performance as well as indirectly through motivation, and (5) there is a direct and significant influence of motivation on teacher performance at SMKN 5 Pangkep. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) pengaruh pendidikan dan pelatihan terhadap motivasi secara parsial, (2) pengaruh pendidikan dan pelatihan terhadap motivasi secara simultan, (3) pengaruh pendidikan terhadap kinerja guru secara langsung dan tidak langsung melalui motivasi, (4) pengaruh pelatihan terhadap kinerja guru secara langsung dan tidak langsung melalui motivasi, (5) pengaruh motivasi terhadap kinerja guru secara langsung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode expost facto menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik sampel jenuh dimana seluruh populasi dijadikan sebagai sampel penelitian Sampel penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru yang terdiri dari 39 guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Secara parsial terdapat pengaruh langsung yang signifikan pendidikan dan pelatihan terhadap motivasi, (2) Secara simultan terdapat pengaruh langsung yang signifikan pendidikan dan pelatihan terhadap motivasi, (3) terdapat pengaruh secara langsung dan signifikan pendidikan terhadap kinerja guru juga secara tidak langsung melalui motivasi, (4) terdapat pengaruh secara langsung dan signifikan pelatihan terhadap kinerja guru juga secara tidak langsung melalui motivasi, (5) terdapat pengaruh secara langsung dan signifikan motivasi terhadap kinerja guru di SMK Negeri 5 Pangkep.
