Abstract

Abstract— In this paper presented design of the information system for determining the number of credits lecturer (PAK) based on computerize, and can be implemented in an integrated systen with all departments in State Polytechnic of Medan. With the realization of the design will easier for  staff, administration and all interested parties to make credit report numbers accurately, timely, and relevant. Research using the System Development Life Cycle, include the stages of collecting data through observation, interviews, and literature. Systems analysis using the flow map, while the system design using context diagrams, DAD, data dictionary, ERD, relationships between files, file structure, program structure, design input, output design and menu structure. This design also comes with the system when it is applied to every study program department use of computer networks.Keywords: Information System, Credit, Lecturer.Intisari – Pada Tulisan ini dipaparkan rancangan sistem informasi penentuan angka kredit dosen (PAK) untuk staf pengajar (dosen) yang berbasis komputer dan dapat diterapkan secara terintegrasi dengan seluruh jurusan yang ada di Politeknik Negeri Medan. Dengan terealisasinya rancangan akan memudahkan dosen, administrasi dan seluruh pihak yang berkepentingan membuat laporan angka kredit secara akurat, tepat waktu  , dan relevan. Penelitian menggunakan metode System Development Life Cycle, meliputi tahapan pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Analisis sistem  menggunakan flow map, sedangkan perancangan sistem  menggunakan diagram konteks, DAD, kamus data, ERD, relasi antar file, struktur file, struktur program, rancangan masukan, rancangan luaran,  dan struktur menu. Rancangan ini juga dilengkapi dengan aplikasi sistem ketika diterapkan ke seluruh program studi, yaitu dengan memanfaatkan jaringan komputer.Kata Kunci : Sistem Informasi, Kredit, Dosen.

Abstract

A classroom is a room that functions as a place for teaching and learning activities. In the classroom there are also various tools to support teaching and learning activities such as tables, whiteboards and other electronic equipment. The importance of using technology in teaching and learning classrooms is because current needs are increasing with the times.Smart Classroom is a technology that makes the class have an automation system with very sophisticated performance. This system utilizes technology that can control electronic equipment in the classroom automatically. The high level of negligence of electronic device users in turning off electronic items that are often on continuously, such as lights, air conditioners, projectors, results in wastage of electrical energy. To overcome this problem, researchers built an automation system in classrooms using the IoT system. The research method used is an experimental model. This automatic system is programmed by the Arduino application by creating a security system using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) as the radio frequency data carrier that will be received by the receiver. The results of this research are a smart classroom prototype using RFID that can operate well. The RFID sensor's ability to detect the ID between the Card and Reader is a maximum distance of 1cm. The Reader's ability to detect ID cards takes 2 to 3 seconds from when the ID card is attached to the Reader and this tool will work when the user attaches the RFID to the reader so that all connected equipment will automatically turn ON such as lights, AC and projectors.

Abstract

Penguasaan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, khususnya Internet of Things (IoT), menjadi salah satu kompetensi penting yang harus dimiliki oleh generasi muda di era digital saat ini. MA Terpadu Ali Bin Abi Tholib, sebagai sekolah menengah atas yang baru berdiri, menghadapi tantangan dalam menyediakan sarana pendidikan yang memadai, terutama di bidang teknologi. Untuk menjawab tantangan ini, Politeknik Negeri Medan mengadakan workshop IoT di sekolah tersebut. Workshop ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan konsep dasar IoT dan mengintegrasikan keterampilan ini ke dalam kurikulum sekolah. Hasil dari workshop menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan siswa terkait IoT. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga berhasil memperkuat kerjasama antara sekolah dan perguruan tinggi, serta memberikan kontribusi dalam meningkatkan kesadaran teknologi di kalangan siswa dan guru. Artikel ini membahas secara komprehensif pelaksanaan, hasil, dan dampak dari workshop IoT tersebut.

Abstract

Earthquakes are one of the natural disasters whose arrival cannot be ascertained and have a very detrimental impact, both in terms of property losses and lives. Indonesia, with its very active tectonic plate conditions, often experiences earthquakes, so it needs an effective early warning system. BMKG has developed an early warning system that informs of earthquake events through various media. However, this system still has weaknesses in the speed of delivering information to the public. This research aims to design and make a prototype of an earthquake early warning tool that can send information in the form of notifications and warning alarms using the Telegram application. The use of Telegram as a medium for conveying information was chosen because of its high speed, security, and accessibility. This research was carried out at the Medan State Polytechnic using the MPU 6050 sensor to detect earthquake vibrations and send data to a database containing seismic information. The results of the research were able to make a prototype of an earthquake early warning tool that uses Telegram for the dissemination of warning information in real-time, so that people can more quickly take self-rescue actions. The integration of Telegram in the earthquake early warning system is expected to increase the effectiveness of information dissemination and can be a faster and more efficient solution in dealing with earthquake disasters in Indonesia

This research was carried out at the Telecommunications Laboratory, Politeknik Negeri Medan starting from the system design process, system implementation, MPU6050 sensor testing, LoRa SX1278 testing, microcontroller ESP32 testing, and Telegram BOT testing to detect earthquake vibrations and send earthquake scale notifications via the Telegram. It produced a prototype of an earthquake early warning tool that uses Telegram for the dissemination of warning information in real-time, so that people can more quickly take self-rescue actions.
