Abstract

Ambon City is an area that has the highest disaster risk index in Maluku Province. The direction of development of residential areas in Ambon City tends to be coastal areas which will certainly have an impact on the risk of tsunami hazards. This study aims to spatially model the tsunami hazard and its exposure to settlements in Ambon City. The tsunami hazard was analyzed using the variables of land height, slope, distance from the river, and distance from the shoreline, while the level of exposure was analyzed based on the results of the tsunami hazard overlay and settlement variables. This study uses an overlay technique on variables that have been scored and analyzed using a Geographic Information System (GIS) approach. The results show that the tsunami hazard in Ambon City is dominated by a low tsunami hazard level which has a wider area compared to the medium and high tsunami hazard classes, this is because 77.32% of the Ambon City area is at an altitude of > 64 masl while the tsunami exposure level in settlements in Ambon City is nominated by a high hazard level with an area of 2,835,33 ha, this is because almost a large part of the population in Ambon City lives in coastal areas, this can increase the risk of a tsunami disaster. The Ambon City Government plays an important role in disaster risk reduction efforts by continuously improving its adaptive capacity indicators and preparing for future disaster mitigation-based spatial planning.

Abstract

The increasing number of residents in Ambon City from year to year which is increasing has an impact on land conversion for the development of residential areas and environmental damage in the future. In connection with this, in the development of residential areas in Ambon City, it is necessary to carry out a spatial analysis of land suitability for settlements to assess the categories of area functions and land suitability for settlements based on physical conditions and the existing RTRW. This study aims to analyze the suitability and evaluation of residential land in Ambon City based on the RTRW of Ambon City in 2011-2031. This research uses Spatial Multi-Criteria Analysis (SMCA) method. The results of the study were then used to evaluate the RTRW of Ambon City 2011-2031. The results of the SMCA analysis show that an area of 13,282, 46 ha is suitable and 2,019, 88 ha is sufficient after the development of residential areas. Based on the results of the RTRW evaluation, there are many deviations in the development of settlements in protected forest areas and there are still many settlements located <100 m from the river border. The results of this study are expected to be a reference and input for the evaluation of the Ambon City RTRW in the future.

Abstract

Pengelolaan sektor parawisata yang belum maksimal di Pulau Ambon membuat banyak objek wisata bahari yang belum diketahui oleh masyarakat dan wisatawan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan sebaran objek wisata bahari yang ada di Pulau Ambon dengan menggunakan sistim informasi geografis untuk memberikan informasi dan gambaran secara spasial kepada masyarakat guna membatu wisatawan yang berkunjung di Pulau Ambon. Pemetaan ini mengacu pada data sebaran objek wisata bahari yang ada di Pulau Ambon yang diperoleh dari Dinas Pariwisata Provinsi Maluku. Pengolahan data spasial dilakukan dengan menggunakan Software Arc GIS 10.6. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat 29 objek wisata bahari yang tersebarn di kecamatan Leihitu Barat, Leihitu, Leitimur Selatan, Salahutu dan Nusaniwe yang dijelaskan secara deskripsi, tabular dan spasial
