Abstract

Currently, the need for internet availability has become a very important requirement for the success of a business or organization given the importance of information at this time along with the increasing dependence of humans on the role of information technology. The development of information and data systems will have an impact on increasing the number of internet users which in turn will also have an impact on bandwidth usage. Therefore, it is necessary to do bandwidth management as a form of bandwidth regulation in internet usage on the existing data network so that the data network can function properly, quickly, and professionally. To achieve this, it is necessary to implement bandwidth management using Mikrotik OS with the Per Connection Queue (PCQ) method, either by using the simple queue or queue tree features. The parameters for testing the quality of network services in the implementation of bandwidth management are throughput, delay, jitter, and packet loss. To maximize the application of bandwidth management, the author also needs to make changes to the running network topology. This will certainly make it easier for network administrators to develop networks both physically and logically in the future. The application of the Per Connection Queue method that was carried out at the time of the study was proven to be able to significantly increase the speed of download times carried out by each client on the network. Likewise with the network service quality testing was carried out for the parameters of throughput, delay, jitter.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Di zaman sekarang peran teknologi sangat penting untuk membantu kegiatan manusia didalam bidang apapun seperti bidang pendidikan, olahraga, pekerjaan dan lain sebagainya. Adapun teknologi yang banyak digunakan diberbagai bidang adalah komputer, internet, handphone dan mesin absensi. Salah satu pemanfaatan teknologi yang digunakan dalam kehidupan sehari salah satu contohnyayaitu mesin absensi dengan sidik jari,yang berada di setiap lembaga perusahaandan menggunakan database untuk menyimpan dan menghitunghasil absensi. Tapi di masa pandemik ini kegiatan yang bersentuhan langsung dengan manusia atau benda tidak dianjurkan karena tidak sesuai dengan peraturan pemerintah tentang social distancing dan menerapkan protokol kesehatan yang diakibatkan Covid-19. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut handphone Android dapat melakukan absensi pada setiap orang karena sistem operasi Android telah memiliki finger print pada perangkatnya. Adapun cara yang digunakan untukmendapatkan data penelitian ini, dilakukan dengan cara pengamatan langsung dan interview serta pengumpulan studi pustaka untuk mendukung keperluan penelitian untuk dapat membangun sistem aplikasi absensi menggunakanFinger Print pada Android. Sistem absensi Finger Print Android pada handphone dengan sistem operasi Android yang telah memiliki finger print pada perangkatnya dapat membantu setiap pegawai perusahaan dalam menjalankan peraturan pemerintah tentang social distancing dan juga penerapan protokol kesehatan. Dikarenakan dengan melakukan absensi finger print pada Android ini setiap orang dapat menghindari dari kontak fisik dan menyentuh sesuatu yang sama secara bergantian. Kata Kunci: Android, Finger Print, Social Distancing ABSTRACT In this day and age the role of technology is very important to assist human activities in any field such as education, sports, work and so on. The technologies that are widely used in various fields are computers, the internet, mobile phones and attendance machines. One of the uses of technology used in everyday life is an example of an attendance machine with fingerprints, which are located in every corporate institution and use a database to store and calculate attendance results. But during this pandemic, activities that come in direct contact with humans or objects are not recommended because they are not in accordance with government regulations regarding social distancing and implementing health protocols caused by Covid-19. To overcome this, Android cellphones can make attendance for everyone because the Android operating system already has a finger print on the device. The methods used to obtain research data were carried out by direct observation and interviews as well as collecting literature to support research needs to be able to build an attendance application system using Finger Print on Android. The Android Finger Print attendance system on cellphones with the Android operating system that already has a finger print on their device can assist every company employee in carrying out government regulations regarding social distancing and also implementing health protocols. Because by taking finger print attendance on Android everyone can avoid physical contact and touch the same thing alternately. Kata Kunci: Android, Finger Print, Social Distancing

Abstract

The rapid development of technology has increased people's need for communication networks, especially fast internet, so media access with high bandwidth is needed to meet these needs. Network technology using copper media currently has limited bandwidth to meet the needs of internet subscribers, especially Telkom subscribers. Therefore, the copper access network is modernized with a fiber optic network. One of them is planning the construction of a fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network. The design of the Fiber To Home network will be implemented in the village of Kota Pari, a village in the Pantai Cermin sub-district, Serdang Bedagai, North Sumatra. The design of this distribution network uses Google Earth while the method used in this design uses the SmallWorld application. Researchers plan to build a fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network using Smallworld. In this final design study, the FTTH design process begins with the design of feeder cables and distribution cables to customers' homes with installation distances that have power according to ITU-T G.984 standards and regulations from PT. Telkom, namely the distance does not exceed 20 km and the receiving power is -28 dBm. The design or planning for the construction of the FTTH network by implementing the Smallworld application is still within standardization limits, so this design is feasible to implement.

Abstract

Pembelajaran bahasa Inggris pada anak usia dini membutuhkan media yang interaktif, menarik, dan mudah dipahami. Metode pembelajaran konvensional kurang mampu mempertahankan perhatian anak, sehingga diperlukan aplikasi edukatif yang memadukan visual menarik, audio, dan animasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan aplikasi Smart English Kids berbasis Android sebagai media pembelajaran bahasa Inggris interaktif untuk anak usia dini menggunakan metode Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC). Aplikasi ini dibangun menggunakan Android Studio (Kotlin), memanfaatkan animasi Lottie, fitur Text-to-Speech (TTS) bilingual, serta kuis interaktif yang menghasilkan 10 soal acak dari 57 jumlah soal. Pada aplikasi ini membutuhkan sistem yang digunakan untuk menyimpan data dari pengguna. Untuk memenuhi hal tersebut maka digunakan Firebase. Firebase digunakan untuk penyimpanan skor online dan pelacakan status pengguna, sedangkan SharedPreferences digunakan sebagai penyimpanan lokal. Hasil pengujian black-box menunjukkan bahwa seluruh fungsi aplikasi berjalan sesuai kebutuhan, termasuk pengucapan suara otomatis, tampilan animasi, navigasi, dan penyimpanan skor. Aplikasi ini terbukti memberikan pengalaman belajar yang lebih menarik bagi anak usia dini serta membantu mempercepat pengenalan kosakata bahasa Inggris secara mandiri.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi mendorong institusi pendidikan untuk mengadopsi sistem digital dalam pengelolaan data akademik, termasuk pengolahan nilai dan pembuatan raport siswa. SMK Pemda Langkat Bahorok masih menghadapi permasalahan dalam pengelolaan raport yang dilakukan secara manual, seperti keterlambatan proses, risiko kesalahan pencatatan, serta kesulitan dalam penyimpanan dan pencarian data. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun aplikasi raport digital berbasis web dengan menerapkan metode Extreme Programming (XP) guna meningkatkan efisiensi, akurasi, dan fleksibilitas pengelolaan nilai siswa. Metode XP dipilih karena menekankan pengembangan sistem secara iteratif, komunikasi intensif dengan pengguna, serta kemampuan beradaptasi terhadap perubahan kebutuhan. Tahapan penelitian meliputi perencanaan, perancangan, pengkodean, dan pengujian sistem secara berulang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi raport digital yang dikembangkan mampu mempermudah guru dalam menginput nilai, mempercepat proses pembuatan raport, serta memberikan kemudahan bagi siswa dan pihak sekolah dalam mengakses informasi akademik. Dengan demikian, penerapan metode Extreme Programming terbukti efektif dalam pengembangan aplikasi raport digital di SMK Pemda Langkat Bahorok.

Abstract

Internet of Things technology provides an effective solution to monitor real-time sea level changes remotely. This research aims to design and manufacture a sea level monitoring device based on NodeMCU ESP32 and HC-SR04 sensor where for 3 consecutive days the tide is monitored to exceed 130 cm above 10 am so that it has an impact on mangrove seedlings at Kurnia My Darling Beach. The results show that IoT-based sea level monitoring instrumentation tools have a high level of accuracy. The tool has been tested in real-time using ThingSpeak and can send notification notifications using WhatsApp. The results of monitoring for 3 days with this tool were obtained that the tide level exceeded the planted seedlings. It is hoped that in the future, this research will become a standard to make better tools that will be used for the purpose of monitoring mangrove seedlings so that the sustainability of mangrove forests can be maintained.

Abstract

Digitalisasi pemasaran menjadi salah satu upaya strategis dalam meningkatkan daya saing Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM). Namun, pelaku UMKM di Kelurahan Binjai Estate masih menghadapi kendala dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital sebagai media promosi dan pemasaran produk. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pelaku UMKM dalam menggunakan e-catalog produk berbasis User Experience (UX) sebagai media pemasaran digital yang informatif, menarik, dan mudah digunakan. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi identifikasi kebutuhan mitra, penyusunan materi, pelaksanaan pelatihan, pendampingan penggunaan e-catalog, serta evaluasi melalui observasi dan praktik langsung. Materi yang diberikan mencakup pengenalan konsep User Experience, pengelolaan katalog digital, pengunggahan produk, penyusunan deskripsi produk, serta optimalisasi tampilan katalog agar memberikan pengalaman pengguna yang lebih baik. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta mampu memahami konsep dasar penggunaan e-catalog, mengelola dan mengunggah produk secara mandiri, serta menyusun informasi produk yang lebih sistematis dan menarik. Pendampingan yang dilakukan juga meningkatkan kepercayaan diri peserta dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital untuk mendukung pemasaran produk. Kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap peningkatan kapasitas digital pelaku UMKM serta mendukung perluasan akses pemasaran melalui media digital yang berorientasi pada kebutuhan dan kenyamanan pengguna.   Kata kunci: UMKM, e-catalog, User Experience, digitalisasi, pemasaran digital.

Abstract

Identifying student learning characteristics is essential for supporting evidence-based academic evaluation and improving educational quality in higher education. This study proposes the application of the K-Means clustering algorithm to classify students according to attendance and learning outcomes. The research utilized academic records comprising attendance percentage, assignment scores, midterm examination scores, final examination scores, and final course scores. Data preprocessing included cleaning and Min–Max normalization prior to clustering. The optimal number of clusters was identified using the Elbow Method, while clustering quality was assessed through the Silhouette Score. Experimental results revealed that the dataset was optimally partitioned into three clusters, corresponding to high-performing, moderate-performing, and academically at-risk student groups. The obtained Silhouette Score of 0.72 demonstrates good cluster compactness and separation, indicating that the selected variables effectively represent student academic characteristics. The proposed clustering model provides meaningful insights into student learning profiles and offers practical support for lecturers and study program administrators in implementing data-driven academic evaluation, targeted learning interventions, and the development of an Early Warning System (EWS). These findings demonstrate the potential of Educational Data Mining techniques to enhance academic decision-making and improve student success in higher education.
