Abstract

Currently, the need for internet availability has become a very important requirement for the success of a business or organization given the importance of information at this time along with the increasing dependence of humans on the role of information technology. The development of information and data systems will have an impact on increasing the number of internet users which in turn will also have an impact on bandwidth usage. Therefore, it is necessary to do bandwidth management as a form of bandwidth regulation in internet usage on the existing data network so that the data network can function properly, quickly, and professionally. To achieve this, it is necessary to implement bandwidth management using Mikrotik OS with the Per Connection Queue (PCQ) method, either by using the simple queue or queue tree features. The parameters for testing the quality of network services in the implementation of bandwidth management are throughput, delay, jitter, and packet loss. To maximize the application of bandwidth management, the author also needs to make changes to the running network topology. This will certainly make it easier for network administrators to develop networks both physically and logically in the future. The application of the Per Connection Queue method that was carried out at the time of the study was proven to be able to significantly increase the speed of download times carried out by each client on the network. Likewise with the network service quality testing was carried out for the parameters of throughput, delay, jitter.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Di zaman sekarang peran teknologi sangat penting untuk membantu kegiatan manusia didalam bidang apapun seperti bidang pendidikan, olahraga, pekerjaan dan lain sebagainya. Adapun teknologi yang banyak digunakan diberbagai bidang adalah komputer, internet, handphone dan mesin absensi. Salah satu pemanfaatan teknologi yang digunakan dalam kehidupan sehari salah satu contohnyayaitu mesin absensi dengan sidik jari,yang berada di setiap lembaga perusahaandan menggunakan database untuk menyimpan dan menghitunghasil absensi. Tapi di masa pandemik ini kegiatan yang bersentuhan langsung dengan manusia atau benda tidak dianjurkan karena tidak sesuai dengan peraturan pemerintah tentang social distancing dan menerapkan protokol kesehatan yang diakibatkan Covid-19. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut handphone Android dapat melakukan absensi pada setiap orang karena sistem operasi Android telah memiliki finger print pada perangkatnya. Adapun cara yang digunakan untukmendapatkan data penelitian ini, dilakukan dengan cara pengamatan langsung dan interview serta pengumpulan studi pustaka untuk mendukung keperluan penelitian untuk dapat membangun sistem aplikasi absensi menggunakanFinger Print pada Android. Sistem absensi Finger Print Android pada handphone dengan sistem operasi Android yang telah memiliki finger print pada perangkatnya dapat membantu setiap pegawai perusahaan dalam menjalankan peraturan pemerintah tentang social distancing dan juga penerapan protokol kesehatan. Dikarenakan dengan melakukan absensi finger print pada Android ini setiap orang dapat menghindari dari kontak fisik dan menyentuh sesuatu yang sama secara bergantian. Kata Kunci: Android, Finger Print, Social Distancing ABSTRACT In this day and age the role of technology is very important to assist human activities in any field such as education, sports, work and so on. The technologies that are widely used in various fields are computers, the internet, mobile phones and attendance machines. One of the uses of technology used in everyday life is an example of an attendance machine with fingerprints, which are located in every corporate institution and use a database to store and calculate attendance results. But during this pandemic, activities that come in direct contact with humans or objects are not recommended because they are not in accordance with government regulations regarding social distancing and implementing health protocols caused by Covid-19. To overcome this, Android cellphones can make attendance for everyone because the Android operating system already has a finger print on the device. The methods used to obtain research data were carried out by direct observation and interviews as well as collecting literature to support research needs to be able to build an attendance application system using Finger Print on Android. The Android Finger Print attendance system on cellphones with the Android operating system that already has a finger print on their device can assist every company employee in carrying out government regulations regarding social distancing and also implementing health protocols. Because by taking finger print attendance on Android everyone can avoid physical contact and touch the same thing alternately. Kata Kunci: Android, Finger Print, Social Distancing

Abstract

The rapid development of technology has increased people's need for communication networks, especially fast internet, so media access with high bandwidth is needed to meet these needs. Network technology using copper media currently has limited bandwidth to meet the needs of internet subscribers, especially Telkom subscribers. Therefore, the copper access network is modernized with a fiber optic network. One of them is planning the construction of a fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network. The design of the Fiber To Home network will be implemented in the village of Kota Pari, a village in the Pantai Cermin sub-district, Serdang Bedagai, North Sumatra. The design of this distribution network uses Google Earth while the method used in this design uses the SmallWorld application. Researchers plan to build a fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network using Smallworld. In this final design study, the FTTH design process begins with the design of feeder cables and distribution cables to customers' homes with installation distances that have power according to ITU-T G.984 standards and regulations from PT. Telkom, namely the distance does not exceed 20 km and the receiving power is -28 dBm. The design or planning for the construction of the FTTH network by implementing the Smallworld application is still within standardization limits, so this design is feasible to implement.
