Abstract

Currently the payment systems in the Industrial of Universitas Advent Indonesia uses cash and the financial records are done manually. There are some problems occur because of the sales financial records are still manually recorded on the book and after that the book will be given to the Academic Finance Bureau (BAK) as the prove of report. This study aims to provide an overview of the new payment system, it is electronic payments by using the QR Code as a solution to overcome the manual financial recording problems and to find out the readiness of the users, they are the students, lecturers and staffs regarding the new payment system. The method used in data collection were interview, survey and observation, questionnaire and literature studies. The modeling used in this study to design a new system that was UML (Unified Modeling Language) and a questionnaire to determine the readiness of users. The conclusions of this study were 1) With this system, it can prevent errors at the income calculation because the calculations are no longer done manually, 2) With this system, forgetting to record sales results can be solved because the recording is done directly or realtime in the system, 3) With this system, no need to buy books to record the sales because everything is recorded in the system, 4) Financial supervision will be easily to be controlled, 5) Searching and inspection of data is easy and quick, 6) The Industrial of Universitas Advent Indonesia no need to provide sales report to BAK because the sales report can be directly accessed by BAK in the system, 7) Based on the results of the questionnaire that has been collected and processed, the overall average answer of the respondents from the 10 questions provided are agreed. It can be concluded that the user is ready for the electronic payment system in the Industrial of Universitas Advent Indonesia. Keywords: QR Code, Electronic Payment System, UML, BPMN

Abstract

The connectivity of the internet network is something that cannot be separated from the daily activities at present. The speed of data transfer and the quality of service becomes a benchmark for its assessment. Universitas Advent Indonesia is an educational institution that provides internet access to all campus residents as a means for students to search for data and information. The bandwidth allocated for students is 60 Mbps, while 40 Mbps is allocated for office buildings and lecturer housing which are also within the campus area. This study uses bandwidth, throughput, delay, jitter, and packet loss parameters using Iperf, Ping, and Command Prompt software to find out the Quality of Service from an internet connection on campus. The research aims to 1) determine the performance of internet network services and 2) provide results of measurements of the analysis of Quality of Service at Universitas Advent Indonesia. The research methodology used for this study is to use literature studies and direct research in several strategic locations. The conclusions of this study are: 1) the performance of the internet network in the NACB area, male dormitory and female dormitory is very good with an index value of 4 based on the calculation of QoS parameters, namely bandwidth, delay, jitter, throughput and packet loss. 2) the quality of internet client network services has met the standardization value according to the TIPHON version. The average value of client bandwidth capacity obtained from NACB is data transfer speed of 6.48 Mbps. The average value of the client bandwidth capacity of the male dormitory is 13.2 Mbps. While the average value of client bandwidth capacity in female dormitories is 10.1 Mbps. Keywords: quality of service, internet, bandwidth, throughput, delay, jitter, packet loss

Abstract

Decision support system is a system that provide problem solving, where the users of the system can choose the best alternative decision. In making the decision there are many things must be considered so that the decision taken is the right one. Universitas Advent Indonesia is one of the universities that provides a dormitory as a residence for the students. Besides dormitories, the students can also reside outside the dormitory. To be able to reside outside, students must register themselves and the Student Affairs Bureau decides who is the student that meet the qualification. There is a problem faced by the Student Affairs Bureau where there is a difficulty to finalize the decision whether students are eligible or not. To occupy the problem, a decision support system is designed to verify the eligibility of students. The requirements that have been decided for the students to be able to reside outside are stay at the lecturer’s house, have been married, stay with their parents or their siblings, the nurses students that have taken the professional nurses and the senior students that do not longer have any subject besides thesis. This research used Forward Chaining method and in designing the system the web-based will be employed. The result of this study can be used as a tool in making decision to determine the eligibility of the students to reside outside.

Abstract

Technology of information and communication currently touches many aspects of daily human life. With the development of technology, many activities have become easier to use, record and report. Universitas Advent Indonesia is an educational institution that uses information systems for record and report in many ways, one of them is record and report of attendance activities in the dormitory. This information system can be accessed by students and also by parents/guardians. However, parents/guardians of students want to be able to access the information. Therefore the objectives of this study are (1) facilitating the delivery of attendance information to parents/guardians of inside students (2) to make efficient use of paper, and (3) eliminating distance constraints in information transmission. The conclusions of this study are (1) WhatsApp can be used for deliver the report of dormitory attendance and makes the Head of the Dormitory easier to send student attendance information to parents/guardians, (2) System provides convenience in send real-time information.

Abstract

The use of a technology is currently very widely used in the community. The registration information system for prospective graduates is very important in the world of education, especially at Adventist University of Indonesia. With this system, it can help student when registering online graduate candidates by filling out the registration form online and opening it though the paper form that BAA has Provided. Information System for the registration of prospective graduates, utilizing hardware and software, as well as manual procedures such as providing document as condition for registering as prospective graduates. The use of platforms makes it easy to access the system anywhere by using devices connected to the network. But in this design, the system used is in the Adventist University network. With this system, BAA is very helpful in data processing for prospective graduate student.

Abstract

AbstractInformation technology is a system that has developed at this time. Starting from the use that helps everyday life, to facilitate all activities for all users. A system of groups and assemblages of several interrelated elements that can form a unified and unified whole. The system itself is well organized and especially now it has been implemented in its implementation. With a system, governance is very important in it. IT governance is the right idea and responsibility in making ideas / decisions that will encourage the use of information technology in a company. This study uses COBIT 5 as the method used for research. COBIT 5 combines the latest innovations in organizational and management techniques, and uses globally accepted principles, practices, analytical tools and models to help increase the trustworthiness and value of information systems. The system within the Adventist University of Indonesia currently has not implemented governance using COBIT 5. The purpose of this study will be to provide the application of COBIT 5 as an IT infrastructure that can help improve, identify the capability value of the system in running the system and help Advent Indonesia University in achieving its vision. and mission. The implementation of COBIT 5 will make the system at the Adventist University of Indonesia more optimal in its use, and can be an innovation for the future.Keywords: Governance, System, COBIT 5AbstrakTeknologi Informasi merupakan sistem yang sudah berkembang saat ini. Mulai dari pemanfaatan yang membantu kehidupan sehari-hari, memudahkan segala aktivitas bagi semua pengguna. Sistem merupakan suatu gugusan dan himpunan dari beberapa unsur yang saling berkaitan yang dapat membentuk suatu kesatuan yang utuh dan terpadu. Sistem itu sendiri sudah terorganisir dan khususnya saat ini sudah diimplementasikan di dalam institusi. Dengan adanya sistem, maka tata kelola sangat penting didalamnya. Tata kelola TI merupakan gagasan dan tanggung jawab yang benar di dalam membuat suatu ide/keputusan yang akan mendorong penggunaan teknologi informasi pada suatu perusahaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan COBIT 5 sebagai metode yang digunakan untuk penelitian. COBIT 5 menggabungkan inovasi terbaru dalam teknik mengelola perusahaan dan manajemen, dan menggunakan prinsip, praktik, alat analisis, dan model yang dapat diterima secara global untuk membantu meningkatkan kepercayaan dan nilai dari sistem informasi. Sistem di dalam Universitas Advent Indonesia saat ini belum menerapkan tata kelola menggunakan COBIT 5. Tujuan dari penelitian ini akan memberikan hasil berupa penerapan COBIT 5 sebagai infrastruktur TI yang dapat membantu meningkatkan, mengidentifikasi nilai kapabilitas dari sistem di dalam institusi, memajukan sistem dan membantu Universitas Advent Indonesia dalam mencapai visi dan misi. Penerapan COBIT 5 tersebut akan menjadikan sistem di Universitas Advent Indonesia lebih optimal dalam pemakaiannya, dan dapat menjadi inovasi untuk kedepannya.Kata Kunci: Tata Kelola, Sistem, COBIT 5

Abstract

One of the reasons for the increasing use of smartphones today is the increasingly diverse mobile applications. With the increasing number of mobile applications circulating, more and more application makers are also competing to create applications that satisfy users both in terms of system and appearance. The user interface is one of the factors that influence the user experience. The user interface is not only concerned with aesthetics but also must create a good user experience. Not only the overall appearance, even small details such as buttons or icons can affect the user experience in using a mobile application. If users are happy with the appearance of the mobile application's user interface, users will certainly use the mobile application more often. In this study, an analysis of the user interface design components in the PeduliLindungi application was carried out on the user experience. The analysis was carried out by distributing questionnaires referring to 10 variables of the Heuristic Evaluation method to respondents, where respondents gave an assessment of the aspects in the application to determine the severity rate. Severity rate is an assessment of the level of damage or deficiency in the application. From the calculation results, it is found that the average severity rate is 1,298, which means that it is on a cosmetic problem scale or just a simple design problem that is not a top priority for making application improvements.
