Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of songs with Wondershare QuizCreator in teaching listening. English is taught based on listening approach that involves students’ activity in doing a worksheet. The main problem of learning listening for students in SMPN 2 Sutojayan is they have low vocabulary mastery. This causes the learning process is not quite effective far from what is being hoped. A teacher can use song with Wondershare QuizCreator in teaching listening. Based on the result of analysis Treatment using song with Wondershare QuizCreator shows that F = 12.175, the probability (P) is 0.001 and the mean is 80.490. Meanwhile, the Class taught without using Song with Wondershare QuizCreator shows 66.636. The mean of class using Song with Wondershare QuizCreator is greater than a class which is not using Song with Wondershare QuizCreator. This means that using song with Wondershare QuizCreator gives better achievement in the level of confidence 95%. It can be concluded that song with Wondershare Quizcreator can be used as additional alternative to teach listening.

Abstract

Teaching English for English students of Unipa Kampus Blitar is based on vocabulary approach that involves worksheet. The problem is they have low vocabulary mastery. This project aims to investigate the potential of Think Talk Write mobile games for language instruction. It was conducted to find out its effectiveness. The method used is quasi-experimental. The result shows F = 27.108. The probability (P) TTW with Mobile game shows 0.000. Class using TTW with Mobile Games shows mean 74.347 and class learned without treatment shows 59.811. When playing mobile games, the class utilizing TTW has a higher mean value. In conclusion, students can use TTW with Mobile Games to learn English for better vocabulary achievement.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether senior high school students taught using the Think Pair Share Method with Mind Mapping Media achieved superior writing skill achievement than students taught using the GTM. This study used a quasi-experimental design, which is a type of quantitative research. Sixty-four students made up the research sample: thirty-two from class XI IPS 1 were the experimental group, and thirty-two from class XI IPS 2 were the control group. Students of SMAN Kademangan Blitar's Class XI were the study's subjects. The data was calculated by the researcher using ANCOVA. The study's conclusions demonstrated that students who were taught the Think Pair Share Method with Mind Mapping Media outperformed those who were taught GTM in terms of writing achievement. According to the Estimated Marginal Means Table, students taught using the Think Pair Share Method with Mind Mapping Media scored 77,529, while students taught using GTM scored 77.034. In summary, the Think Pair Share Method combined with Mind Mapping Resources was more effective in teaching writing.
