Abstract

The development of the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) is encouraged in Indonesia because the SMEs were proven to be more sustainable than corporations during the economic crisis in 1997. Such the SMEs are In Islam, it is represented by entrepreneurship that has long been encouraged along with the Shari’ah. During the era of caliph Umar Ibn Abdul Aziz, the poverty was eliminated due to the role of Islamic economic welfare system. In development of the economic welfare system, the concept of Al-Manihah will play one of the important roles. Al-Manihah encourages the establishment of Islamic civilization and development of the SMEs based on maqasid shari’ah in the era of Sahabah(companions) and Islamic Financial Institution for current era. In addition, Al-Manihah is one of the alternatives to overcome the risk in financing SME towards Islamic financial institutions. The concept of Al-Manihah for development of SME through SWOT analysis and mix method research design show positive correlation between Al-Manihah concept and development of SMEs. Keyword : Small and Medium Enterprise (SME), Al-Manihah, Islamic Financial Institution, SWOT analysis, and Mix Method Research Design

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the performance and activity of UMKM in Gresik, East Java from maqasid syariah side, which based on the principle of maqasid syariah can give welfare (maslahah) to society wide. Therefore, whether the performance and activities undertaken by SMEs according to the principles of maqasid syariah especially SMEs in Gresik. Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are business actors that directly touch the community so that it has a very important role in the absorption of manpower and regional income and the economy widely. Although MSMEs have fundamental problems mainly on internal and external issues such as limited capital, human resources, business network and market penetration, business climate, facilities and infrastructure, short life time product, market access, and free trade. This research was conducted in three stages. The first phase of the exploration aims to provide initial insight, research design, and test theoretical framework through pilot study and interview on UMKM Gresik. The second phase is a survey of MSME Gresik to form the basis of generalization. And the third stage is a case study on SMEs Gresik sample to explore relationships and relevant results on the performance and activities of MSMEs with maqasid sharia.

Abstract

Abstract

Sebagai upaya untuk pertumbuhan perekonomian negara setelah terjadinya finansial krisis di seluruh perekonomian dunia, dan sebagai upaya untuk menunjang kebijakan yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah, diperlukannya investor untuk memberikan perannya melalui pasar modal. Sebagai perkembangan pasar modal untuk mengurangi ketidak pastian dan peran pasar modal dalam segi riil, terbentuklah pasar modal syariah yang bertujuan untuk menampung investor baik dari Muslim maupun non muslim. Sebagai upaya perkembangan investor dalam perannya di pasar modal syariah, diperlukannya analisa untuk investor agar berminat untuk menanamkan modal mereka di pasar modal syariah. Dalam tujuannya tersebut, dilakukanlah penelitian ini dengan menganalisa faktor – faktor yang mempengaruhi minat investor melalui bursa galeri investasi UISI berupa faktor risiko, level pendapatan, motivasi, pengetahuan, persepsi, dan belajar dalam berinvestasi di pasar modal syariah. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menghasilkan model Y = 0,011 + 0,386 X1 + 0,380 X2 + 0,290 X3 – 0,016 X4 – 0,045 X5 – 0,005 X6. Dari model tersebut yang menjadi peran signifikan adalah dari variabel risiko, pendapatan dan motivasi yang penting untuk diperhatikan terhadap responden atau investor di BGIU (Bursa Galeri Investasi UISI) dibanding yang lain karena variabel tersebut berregresi positif

Abstract

In order to achieve the Master Plan for the Acceleration and Expansion of the Indonesian Economic Development (MP3EI) program which has a significant impact on cement demand outside java, it is necessary to improve the performance of cement companies, especially state-owned cement companies consisting of PT Semen Indonesia Tbk (Persero) and PT Semen Batu Raja (Persero). In addition, competition in the globalization era in fulfilling domestic cement is a challenge for state-owned cement companies with Cement Foreign Investment (PMA) industries in Indonesia which are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. To increase attractiveness and strengthen performance, state-owned cement companies need to display an analysis of attractive financial performance along with the selection of independent variables in the discrimination function as a variable that explains precisely the performance of the company based on the Discriminant Stepwise Method. This is in accordance with the purpose of this study by analysing Du Pont System Analysis, Analysis of financial ratios in the form of liquidity ratios, solvability, profitability, activity, along with reference to the Decree of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia No. 826/KMK.013/1992, and strengthened by the Decree of the Minister of BUMN No: KEP-100/MBU/2002 in financial aspects for the performance of state-owned enterprises. This study also provides additional analysis in the form of Economic Value Added (EVA), Tobin’s q and Altman Z-Score as a complement to the comparison of the financial performance of state-owned cement companies and Cement PMA companies in the period 2013-2016.

Abstract

Today, Islamic teaching appears as a alternative economic system, where religion norms (Al-Qur’an and hadits) are to be the fundamental of it. The researcher is interested in the research of Muhammad Quraish Shihab interpretation of at-tijarah (business) concept based on the Qur’an that can be found in his al-misbah interpretation book. This research is library research. The primary data source is al-misbah interpreation. The analytical technic of this research is qualitative analysis data with tematic interpreation. At-tijarah concepts have the difference subject, object, the meaning, and contect from one verse to the other but have the same of logic thinking of the correlation and mutual law in an act. It is like a business or a trading where there are profit and loss. There are three “business model” (at-tijarah). The first is from the human to the all human kind having material qualitative. The second is from Allah SWT (The God) to the human having immaterial qualitative. The third is from Allah SWT (The God) to the human and all of human kind having material and immaterial qualitative at once.

Abstract

Puncu District is one of the 26 sub-districts in Kediri Regency. The majority of the residents' livelihoods are farmers, farm laborers, and ranchers. Residents who have livestock as a source of income other than the agricultural business sector, on average, still apply conventional maintenance patterns. Sacrifice is a teaching that is almost unified in terms of the time of its implementation with the pilgrimage. However, it differs in terms of the place and the perpetrators. Sacrifice is usually performed during Eid al-Adha. The celebration of Eid al-Adha is accompanied by the slaughter of sacrificial animals which are carried out simultaneously. There are several problems in the management of livestock, one of which is regarding the management of livestock which is still not good and the livestock production is not optimal. Livestock management in this case is all aspects that affect livestock business, such as: nutrition for animal feed, cage construction, cage sanitation, maintenance methods, vaccination or treatment programs, seed selection, to livestock production and reproduction factors. This activity is carried out in the form of a fostered village with several activities such as counseling, survey of livestock, and distribution of sacrificial animals. With this service activity in the form of a guided village, it is hoped that it will be able to develop management of goat farm management, starting from livestock seeds to the process of selling and distributing livestock as sacrificial animals.

Abstract

Zakat is undeniably an important instrument in Islamic economics that can support and improve the welfare of the people in Indonesia. With the high awareness of the Indonesian people in caring for others, the potential for collecting zakat funds in Indonesia is still not reaching the maximum level. By wielding the theoretical approach of the holistic spirituality model and its micro was giving behavioural constructs, which are transcribed into online survey indicators buttressed with in-depth interviews / direct observations, this study endeavours to understand and examine how the preferences and habits of Indonesian people in donating zakat (alms) through the crowdfunding portal. The study discovers that the crowdfunding portal classification is elaborated into two predominant clusters: the collaborative and corporate platforms. Corporations specialising in social finance fundraising issues created the first collective fashionable means. Various programs uploaded and generated within one platform website will create and initiate the program campaign by co-working and collaborating with others. The second corporate ones are designed and launched by the respective exclusive institution without other brand zakat involvement. Both initiations must be built by an official amil zakat institution. The preference of the zakat payer community is affected by literacy and frequent religiosity sense. Muzaki in entrusting and donating funds toward amil zakat institutions is not only prompted by its membership and affiliation of an institutional entity but also influenced by the inherent choice of literacy perception and religious understanding of individuals.

Abstract

This research is conducted to help customers in delivering the complaints in the form of product quality and the way of providing services of the subject research and the improvement of it using sharia marketing mix perspectives and service quality. This research is a quantitative study using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method. The data collection method comes from primary data of distributing questionnaires to 126 respondents of Gresik Vivi Drinking Water Refilling Station customers. The results of this study indicate that product quality (X1), Price (X2) and Promotion (X4) have no significant effect on customer satisfaction (Y) and in the other words those variables need to be high concern of the owner of business to handle the improvement or handling the customer complaints. Meanwhile, the location (X3) and the service quality (X5) have a significant effect. This is indicated that those variables are more suitable for the customer satisfaction and need to be maintained by the owner in developing the business.Â
