Abstract

In Indonesia, marine pollution is a common problem. Ship personnel operating in ports often contribute to marine pollution. This study aimed to determine the impact of crew behavior in relation to the prevention of marine pollution on their knowledge, supervision, and completeness of their waste management facilities. The methodology of this research is quantitative. With the help of SmartPLS version 3.0, the analysis used in this work takes a structural approach to the Equation Model. A total of fifty crew members who participated in the study were randomly selected from the pool of participants. In addition, participants in this study were randomly selected by distributing questionnaires to the crew at Merak Harbor. According to research findings, the behavior of seafarers in preventing marine pollution in ports is influenced by their knowledge, supervision, and quality of infrastructure.

Abstract

Kontribusi moda transportasi laut dalam perdagangan dunia mencapai 77%. Dominannya transportasi laut mengindikasikan bahwa kemajuan perekonomian dan perdagangan nasional adalah dengan menciptakan transportasi laut yang baik dan unggul. Salah satu cara untuk menciptakan transportasi laut yang baik dan unggul adalah dengan memperbaiki pelayanan yang ada di pelabuhan. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan pengelolaan pelabuhan yang dilakukan secara efektif, efisien, dan profesional sehingga pelayanan pelabuhan menjadi lancar, aman, dan cepat. Performa atau kinerja pelabuhan secara internasional dalam memberikan pelayanan diukur melalui indikator dwelling time adalah waktu yang dihitung mulai dari suatu petikemas dibongkar dan diangkat dari kapal sampai petikemas tersebut meninggalkan terminal pelabuhan melalui pintu utama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untukmengetahui hubungan dan pengaruh dari waktu pre clearance, dan post clearance terhadap total waktu Dwelling Time peti kemas di Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok. Analisa data hasil estimasi dilakukan dengan metode analisa regresi linier berganda (Multiple Linear Regression Analysis) dengan bantuan program SPSS kemudian ditabulasi untuk memudahkan perhitungan pada tahap estimasi serta dilakukan pembahasan atas hasil estimasi. Berdasarkan analisa data yang dilakukan, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa angka rata-rata dwelling time di Pelabuhan Tj Priok pada kisaran 4 hari sedangkan standar pemerintah adalah 3 hari. Hasil perhitungan statistik yang membandingkan model dwelling time variasi antara X1,X2, ; memperlihatkan bahwa model 1 (X1,X2,) adalah yang terbaik dengan nilai R2 = 0,997 dan Signifikansi < 0,05. Faktor yang paling dominan mempengaruhi dwelling time peti kemas di Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok adalah variabel pre clearance.

Abstract

This research aims to give a recommendation competition requirement which needed by kleder in improving of safety aspect cattle ship. The research method uses descriptive qualitative with literature study. Observation and interview done for evaluation of cattle transportation policy who employs the kleder on the ship. The observation was conducted by captain and crew. The collected data is then processed and analyzed using policy analysis. The result of the research is that an increase in Kleder’s competence is absolutely necessary not only in terms of handling livestock but also in the basic skills of shipping safety and security on ships. In improving the safety and security aspects of livestock shipping, crew members are required to have a basic certification of shipping safety and security and be registered in an emergency certificate in order to comply with the provisions on manning. In addition, there is a need for serious attention and coordination among institutions, practitioners, ship owners, livestock owners and other related parties to issue appropriate policies regarding the status of kleders on board ships.
