Abstract

This study aims to describe the problem-solving ability of mathematics education students at IKIP Budi Utomo in drawing trigonometric function graphs. The type of research is a case study using test and observation instruments. Students with high, medium, and low abilities can each understand the problem to make graphs of trigonometric functions, already have a plan and use a problem-solving plan in the form of choosing the method of ordered pairs, making cartesian coordinates, and drawing graphs. However, they have not reflected on the solutions already produced.

Abstract

Craft arts will continue to develop and become more interesting and unique as time goes by. The world of art is actually able to create diversity that is of interest to many groups. There are many unique phenomena in the development of woven art or also known as woven. Wicker is basically an inanimate object that can be related to daily activities, especially in the world of architecture or craft products which include interior and exterior aesthetic values. This woven material can be made into a miniature form which can produce various kinds of results such as baskets, mats, bags and crafts. This woven material can be made using various media, for example paper, bamboo, ribbon, etc. Creativity is part of the field of fine arts that can be used in production or creative activities. Various activities in the field of fine arts can provide opportunities to develop the creativity of elementary school children. Creative activities can enable young children to channel their creative talents through several activities, including: drawing; print; stick. Not all children are motivated to channel their talents because there is less encouragement from adults. The cause of low creativity among children in Indonesia is an environment that does not support children to express their creativity, especially the family and school environment. SBDP focuses on students learning skills and arts, this activity can train skills, be creative, actively innovative, for students to work well into the future.

Abstract

Pengabdian Masyarakat Berbasis Potensi (PMBP) merupakan sebuah wadah bagi mahasiswa untuk mengabdikan diri kepada masyarakat. Kegiatan-kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membantu masyarakat dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan yang dihadapi, serta meningkatkan kualitas hidup mereka. Pelaksanaan Pengabdian Masyarakat Berbasis Potensi (PMBP) berlangsung selama dua bulan, mulai 4 Maret hingga 4 Mei 2024 yang berlokasi di Dusun Trongso Desa Sukoreno Kecamatan Prigen Kabupaten Pasuruan Jawa Timur. Sasaran penyuluhan adalah Masyarakat Desa Sukerono, karena terdapat permasalahan yaitu kelangkaan pupuk yang menjadi latar belakang kegiatan pengabdian berupa penyuluhan pupuk kompos ini. Metode kegiatan pengabdian ini menggunakan dua metode yaitu pertama, metode society parcipatory dan persuasive approach. Bahan yang digunakan untuk pelatihan pupuk kompos terdiri dari kotoran sapi, kambing, dan bebek. Kotoran hewan tersebut dicampur dengan rumput kering hasil sisa makanan sapi. Penggunaan pupuk kompos ini sangatlah bermanfaat bagi para petani di Dusun Trongso Desa Sukoreno yakni 1). Menyuburkan tanah, 2). Meningkatkan ketahanan tanaman terhadap hama penyakit, 3). Menguatkan batang padi, 4). Meningkatkan hasil panen, 5). Meringankan beban kerja petani, 6). Bahan baku mudah didapatkan. Proses pembuatan pupuk kompos di Dusun Trongso Desa Sukoreno terbagi menjadi empat tahap utama antara lain yaitu pengumpulan bahan, pengeringan, pembuatan kompos, dan penyebaran.
