Abstract

The analysis followed PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) guidelines to ensure a rigorous and comprehensive approach. The review identified significant gaps in each area. In terms of people, two key gaps were observed. First, there is a lack of research exploring the impact of hospital supply chain management on patients, particularly in relation to patient satisfaction and healthcare outcomes. Second, there is limited attention given to the role of government policies and regulations in shaping and influencing hospital supply chain management practices. Regarding the process, the review identified a gap in the understanding of service delivery within hospital supply chain management. In the area of technology, gaps were found in research related to specific technological applications. Specifically, there is a limited focus on the utilization of radio frequency identification (RFID), information technology (IT), and blockchain in hospital supply chain management. Exploring the potential benefits and challenges associated with these technologies would contribute to more efficient inventory management, enhanced traceability, and improved data security. Lastly, the review identified a gap in understanding the dynamics and effectiveness of partnerships within hospital supply chain management. Limited research has explored the strategies and best practices for establishing and managing partnerships with suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers. Investigating successful partnership models and factors influencing their effectiveness would enable hospitals to optimize collaboration efforts and achieve improved supply chain performance.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate and improve the business processes involved in the ERP implementation phase of a local Indonesian provider, with a specific focus on the master data preparation stage. Utilizing an integrated framework combining Business Process Management (BPM), Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN), the Activity-Based Model, and the ESIA method, this research identifies key bottlenecks caused by sequential data input processes and lack of integration among activities. The proposed business process redesign emphasizes parallel data input, document simplification, and automation of verification and validation, which are expected to accelerate implementation time, enhance data accuracy, and optimize operational efficiency. This study contributes empirically to an in-depth business process analysis within the Food and Beverage (F&B) sector and highlights the importance of proper process modelling and targeted automation to address common challenges faced by local ERP providers. Limitations include a focus on a single ERP implementation phase and a single case study, with the redesign not yet tested through simulation. Future research is recommended to expand the scope to other implementation phases, integrate quantitative performance metrics, and utilize simulation software to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed process redesign.

Abstract

Indonesia’s adoption of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) remains limited, posing a challenge to the government’s ambitious targets for 2030 and beyond. This study adopts a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative insights from focus group discussions and stakeholder interviews with quantitative analysis using a mixed multinomial logit (MMNL) model. The stated preference survey includes 1,360 respondents across six provinces in Java, providing broader geographic coverage than most prior studies in Indonesia. The analysis covers both two-wheeler (2W) and four-wheeler (4W) BEVs, while also differentiating preferences by brand, an often-overlooked factor in the Indonesian context. The MMNL results confirm that charging time, range, operational cost, and price significantly influence BEV preferences, with variations across vehicle segments and brand types. Shared concerns from both supply- and demand-side perspectives include affordability, underdeveloped charging infrastructure, and limited product-market fit. However, divergent priorities are evident: industry stakeholders emphasize the need for technological upgrades, consistent policy signals, and improvements in upstream supply chains, while consumers prioritize convenience and final purchase or operating costs, showing less sensitivity to advanced technical specifications. This study contributes to the literature by offering an integrated demand–supply perspective on BEV adoption in an emerging economy, while also introducing brand differentiation and wider geographic sampling as key novelties. Policy recommendations include accelerating fast-charging infrastructure, standardizing batteries, localizing battery production, and implementing stronger disincentives for internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles. The strategic enforcement of Presidential Instruction No. 7/2022 is also highlighted as a critical step to demonstrate government commitment. Together, these insights provide actionable guidance for accelerating a more inclusive and effective transition to electric mobility in Indonesia.
