Abstract

To face the challenges of the industrial revolution 4.0 and society 5.0, the Indonesian nation must continue to prepare quality future generations through education. Educational institutions are required to realize human resources who have creative thinking, critical thinking and problem solving, communicating, and collaborating called 4C. This study aims to get an overview of the implementation of interactive conceptual instruction with multi-representation to optimize the achievement of students' scientific communication skills on momentum and impulse concepts. Employing a descriptive research design with an observation method, this research was conducted at a senior high school in the 2020/2021 academic year. This study involved 20 students in the tenth grade which were selected by using cluster random sampling technique. The scientific communication skills were reflected in three sub-skills, namely scientific writing, group discussion, and knowledge presentation. The results of the study showed that the average values of student scientific communication skills (SCS) from the first to the fourth meeting are 53.3, 66.1, 89.3, and 97.8, respectively. The average value is the result of the average value of scientific communication skills of all respondents in each session. It can be concluded that the implication of interactive conceptual instruction with multi-representation approach can optimize the achievement of students' scientific communication skills on momentum and impulse concepts.

Abstract

Penurunan daya ingat merupakan masalah kognitif yang dapat dipicu oleh stres oksidatif akibat aktivitas radikal bebas. Rumput mutiara (Hedyotis corymbosa L.) dikenal mengandung flavonoid dan asam fenolat yang berpotensi meningkatkan memori melalui efek antioksidan dan neuroprotektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak etanol rumput mutiara terhadap peningkatan skor memori spasial mencit jantan galur Swiss Webster yang diinduksi alkohol 10% serta menentukan dosis efektifnya. Metode eksperimental dengan rancangan kelompok kontrol dan perlakuan, dimana mencit dibagi menjadi lima kelompok: kontrol negatif (Na-CMC 0,5%), kontrol positif (piracetam 200 mg/kg BB), dan tiga kelompok perlakuan dengan dosis ekstrak rumput mutiara 100 mg/kg BB, 400 mg/kg BB, dan 800 mg/kg BB. Perlakuan diberikan secara oral selama 3 hari berturut-turut, lalu memori diukur menggunakan tes Radial Arm Maze (RAM). Data skor memori dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA satu arah dan uji Duncan pada signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian ekstrak rumput mutiara dosis 400 mg/kg BB dan 800 mg/kg BB secara signifikan meningkatkan skor memori spasial mencit dibandingkan kontrol negatif (p < 0,05). Dengan demikian, ekstrak etanol rumput mutiara berpotensi sebagai agen alami yang efektif dalam meningkatkan fungsi memori, dengan dosis efektif pada penelitian ini adalah 400 mg/kg BB. Temuan ini dapat mendukung pengembangan bahan alami untuk terapi gangguan memori dan sebagai media pembelajaran interaktif di bidang Biologi SMA.
