Abstract

Entrepreneurship training in Semparu Village, Kopang, Central Lombok, aims to enhance family economies through the empowerment of housewives. This activity involves 20 housewives as direct partners. The implementation method includes preparation and execution phases, where materials are delivered through lectures and question-and-answer sessions to improve understanding of entrepreneurship. The training results show an increase in understanding of business management and practical skills, particularly in the production of papaya crisps, which demonstrate good market potential. Participants, who previously had little economic activity, now have the skills to start their own businesses, create job opportunities, and support community independence and empowerment. Recommendations for the future include ongoing monitoring and mentoring to ensure the application of the knowledge gained in facing business challenges. Additionally, it is recommended to expand similar training to other villages in Central Lombok to increase the broader economic impact. This activity not only facilitates short-term solutions through training but also lays the groundwork for sustainable development that supports economic independence and empowerment in Semparu Village.

Abstract

Cooperatives play an important role as economic institutions in improving community welfare through principles of mutual cooperation and member empowerment. In societies with strong local cultural values and a predominantly Muslim population, the integration of local cultural values and compliance with sharia principles in cooperative management can influence people’s decisions to become members. This study aims to analyze the effect of perceptions of the integration of Tastura cultural values and compliance with sharia principles in the profit-sharing system on the decision to become members of the Koperasi Merah Putih in Central Lombok. This research uses a quantitative approach with a total sampling technique involving 72 respondents who are cooperative members. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression after passing validity, reliability, and normality tests. The results show that perceptions of the integration of Tastura cultural values and compliance with sharia principles have a significant effect both partially and simultaneously on the decision to become cooperative members. These findings indicate that the integration of local cultural values and the consistent implementation of sharia principles can increase public trust in cooperatives and encourage membership participation. Therefore, strengthening local cultural values and maintaining consistency in implementing sharia principles in cooperative management are important strategies to enhance community participation in cooperatives.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Strengthening rural community economies depends not only on the availability of local resources but also on the capacity of community members to transform these resources into value-added and competitive products. This remains a challenge in Setiling Village, Central Lombok Regency, where existing human resource potential has not been fully supported by adequate food-processing skills, sanitation awareness, and business management capabilities. In response to this condition, this community service program was designed to enhance community capacity through culinary entrepreneurship training that integrates production techniques, food safety practices, cost management, packaging development, and marketing strategies. The program was implemented using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach involving housewives and village youth in a series of activities, including needs assessment, practical food-processing training, food hygiene and sanitation assistance, cost-of-goods-sold calculation, packaging improvement, and the utilization of digital media for promotion. The program outcomes indicated improvements in participants’ knowledge and skills in producing culinary products that were more attractive, hygienic, and commercially valuable. Participants also gained a better understanding of business management, product pricing, and the use of pre-order systems and digital media as marketing tools. In addition to enhancing participants’ confidence to engage in entrepreneurial activities, the program demonstrated that integrating technical skills with business competencies can serve as an effective strategy for strengthening community economic capacity and supporting more sustainable rural economic development.

Abstract

Abstract

Landscape development for ecotourism potential is one of the focuses of the National Development Planning Agency through the Indonesian Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan program. Currently, the tourism sector has the potential to contribute to the country's foreign exchange, like other ASEAN countries, where the tourism sector has contributed more than 10% of the country's foreign exchange. In Indonesia, the contribution of the tourism sector is still below 10%. Bali Province has become a favorite tourist destination, both for domestic and foreign tourists. However, along with the progress of modernity, the capacity of the Province of Bali has become very vulnerable, so that the development of tourism on the island of Bali can be directed to the island of Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara Province. One of the potential areas to be developed is the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (SEZ), which is not too far from Zainuddin Abdul Majid International Airport (ZAMIA), making Mandalika have easy access for tourists. The development of new ecotourism areas requires scientific studies to identify the potential and social conditions of the local community. This study aims to explore the tourism potential based on the nature and culture of the people of Kuta Mandalika, as well as develop development and marketing strategies.
