Abstract

Tuberculosis is a contagious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The newest cases of pulmonary TB cases in Indonesia year 2018 is 203,348 cases with positive bacteriological results. The failure to change positive BTA sputum to negative BTA is caused by the deficiency of nutrients that are protein and vitamin A. The deficiency of nutrients in protein and vitamin A effect the decreasing the number of T lymphocyte cells so that bacteria remain alive in the lung tissue and the change in sputum positive BTA to BTA negative becomes slow. It could retard the patient's healing process. According to the description below, T lymphocytes could be increased by consumption of protein and vitamin A. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of Level of Protein and Vitamin A Intake with BTA TB  Lung Conversion After Intensive Phase Treatment in RS Paru Jembe. The type of this research is observational with cross sectional design. The subject for this study was 38 TB patients who had intensive phase treatment. The data collection techniques were carried out through interviews using the SQ-FFQ and Fisher Exact forms used for data analysis. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between the level of protein consumption on the changes in BTA (p: 0.001) and there was no relationship the level of vitamin A consumption on the changes in BTA (p: 0.144).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the utilization of coastal natural resources of Pantai Bali Lestari in supporting sustainable tourism development in Serdang Bedagai Regency. Pantai Bali Lestari is a real example of tourism destination management based on local wisdom and cultural commodification, especially Balinese culture, to attract tourists. Various facilities and infrastructure such as photo spots, restaurants, lodging, and adaptation of Balinese architecture make this beach a leading destination. However, coastal area management also faces challenges, both from environmental, social, and economic aspects. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection through field observations, documentation, and literature studies. The results of the study indicate that synergy between the government, tourism managers, and the surrounding community is very important in ensuring the sustainability of coastal areas as productive and environmentally friendly tourism assets.

Abstract

Environmental issues, particularly waste accumulation and a lack of green open spaces, are critical issues in densely populated areas such as Jalan Gersikan VI, Pacar Keling, Tambaksari, Surabaya. This community service program through the Community Service Learning (CSL) activity aims to increase residents' awareness and participation in waste management and environmental greening. The implementation of the activities was carried out in several stages: observation, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The program began with a waste bank initiative as a platform for managing economically valuable inorganic waste. Additionally, the cultivation of Potted Flower Plants (TABULAMPOT) was implemented as a greening solution for limited land areas. The results of the activities demonstrated a significant increase in community participation, the volume of waste successfully managed, and improved environmental aesthetics. This program successfully created a sustainable, self-reliant, and economically valuable environmental management model, proving that the synergy between waste banks and greening can be an effective solution to urban environmental issues.
